Organizational crises can be prevented and managed if the risk factors, symptoms, and causes of their occurrence are known. The factors of the financial crisis are external and internal. Symptoms appear in the financial and economic indicators, and their trends reflect the functioning and development of the organization. They are just an external manifestation of the beginning of a crisis situation, but the reasons for its occurrence lead to the crisis itself. The development of the events under the "risk - causes - crisis situation - unwanted consequences" is a logical process of realization of the potential danger of a crisis. The subject of the study is the factors, the symptoms and the occurrence of crises in the organizations. The aim of the study is to justify the relation management of organizational crises and the reasons for their occurrence. Methods of research: questionnaire, the study of the relations management of organizational crises and the reasons for their occurrence, analysis of the results, conclusions. Scope of the survey: The survey was conducted in 2018. It included five companies from the construction sector in Veliko Tarnovo. Results: The results show that the main factors for crisis occurring, in the first place, according to the surveyed companies, are the organizational faults and in the second place is the technical fault. Their views on the barriers to the more efficient management of organizational crises are united. As such, they indicate mainly the limited budget.

The use of bio-based composite as building materials is one of the innovative solutions for dealing with environmental disorders caused by the construction sector. Among these materials we find biocomposites based on vegetable aggregates, which have proven their effectiveness as insulating materials in numerous studies. Despite the growing interest in these materials and the recognition of their performance, their use remains hampered by the lack of implementation rules specific to these materials to move towards a control of their use and their durability affected by the climate and use conditions to which they will be exposed at the level of a building. The objective of this work is to study the compatibility of a protective coating with a block substrate of biocomposites based on cereal straw. It is in fact a mixture of vegetable aggregates (straw), a binder composed of lime and additives also obtained from a renewable source (Ismail et al., 2020). These additives (air-entraining agent, casein protein and a biopolymer) have been added to improve both the fibre-binder interface and the porosity of the binder. The use of these bio-based materials for external or internal thermal insulation of the building requires the application of a coating to protect them against climatic aggressions and to give them an aesthetic appearance. The lime-based coatings, air-entraining agent and casein protein selected for this study have been the subject of an experimental investigation (Brahim Ismail, 2020). In order to assess the compatibility of these coatings with the straw-based insulating material, we were interested in studying the adhesion between the biocomposite and the coating after aging cycles in accordance with the EN 1015-21 standard. The samples (biocomposite + coating) were subjected to two types of aging, one using water and the other using a saline solution of sodium sulphates (Na2SO4). The results of the bond tests after aging showed that the cohesive fracture (at the level of the substrate) is a pattern observed in all the studied systems. In Addition, It has been found that the coating to which a percentage of fine fibers has been added undergoes considerable degradation after aging with salt solution, demonstrating the need of an additional layer of outer coating without fibers in order to ensure the sustainability of the system.

The subject of the study is the process of formation and development of music education in Russia on the basis of the traditions of home education of children in noble families and higher classes of tsarist Russia. The activation of performing and composer art has become one of the prerequisites for the development of professional music education in Russia. Another prerequisite was domestic music, which became widespread in aristocratic houses. The work carries out a historical and theoretical analysis of the origin of the pedagogical model of music education in pre-revolutionary Russia at the beginning of the 19th century and determines the main factors that led to the formation of professional music education in Russia on a solid scientific, pedagogical and socio-cultural basis, established in the country during the 17th and 18th centuries.

Developed nations acknowledge sustainable development as a legal right for current and future generations. Although instances of domestic and international efforts are prevalent, there is a long way to go before accomplishing developmental ideals. A practical approach for realizing the vital goals of sustainable development is of the utmost importance. In effect, the construction sector requires extensive forward-looking studies for strategizing, building and granting a sustainable future. The inconsistency between the goals and activities of different sectors is a main impediment upon undertaking sustainable development’s goals; decision and lawmakers must consider the purpose and interests of the building industry on a micro and macro level. This paper is a brief review for understanding the concept of sustainable development and illustrates some of the international efforts, and highlights them for decision makers.  Using the ‘PESTLE’ analysis technique, external and internal factors influencing sustainability in the Iranian construction sector were identified. Interviews were conducted with experts using the ‘Snowball’ research method due to the lack of knowledgeable respondents in the subject area. 11 Practical steps needed in Iran were recommended and sorted by their importance to make this vision a reality. The results can be generalized to other disciplines as well.

ABSTRACTThe sintering rate of a ceramic powder matrix can be reduced significantly by the presence of rigid inclusions. The factors that lead to this reduced sinterability have been the subject of much debate in the last 5–10 years. Recent work indicate that the reduction in the matrix sinterability is a processing-related problem. The main factors that control the sinterability of ceramic particulate composites include the packing of the matrix immediately surrounding the inclusions and interactions between the inclusions which constrain the matrix. A processing method which avoids the difficulties associated with these two factors is outlined. The method involves the synthesis of coated inclusion particles. Composites containing up to 40 volume percent inclusions can be freely sintered in the solid state to full density.

The problem of IPO underpricing became relevant in the late 1960s. Since then various theories were advanced connecting this phenomenon to many factors: from information asymmetry in the market to the cultural peculiarities of the host country. The article aims to identify factors that have a significant influence on the occurrence and magnitude of underpricing of shares in Russian companies preparing their IPOs. Research and theories of foreign and Russian authors devoted to the subject were analyzed, which uncovered 7 main factors, which are further considered in terms of their influence on the occurrence and magnitude of underpricing. To test the hypotheses, data for 138 IPOs of Russian companies for 1996-2015 was collected. Analysis showed that two factors influence the occurrence and the magnitude of the underpricing of Russian companies’ IPOs: the amount of accommodation and the provision of accommodation prices in the price corridor, announced by the company. In conclusion, recommendations for Russian issuers on the formation of the strategies of the IPO are made.

Purpose This study aims to analyze the effects of psychological capital on the transfer of knowledge from accounting students to business organizations. A descriptive study was carried out, with 210 students from the Accounting Sciences course of two universities of the Itajaí Valley, Santa Catarina, and a quantitative data approach. Design/methodology/approach To compose the sample, the academics who were attending from the third semester of the course and working in business organizations were exclusively selected. Data collection was carried out by means of a questionnaire. and the analysis was conducted with the aid of modeling of structural equations. Ten hypotheses were established to investigate the theoretical relations object of analysis and to reach the objective of the study, of which only three were refuted. Findings The results showed an indirect relation between psychological capital and knowledge transfer, mediated by the acquired knowledge and the absorptive capacity of the students. It has been found that accounting academics transfer knowledge to the business organizations in which they work, which indicates that their experiences, skills and knowledge gained from the studies, are put into practice in their workplace. This transfer of knowledge depends on the knowledge acquired, the students’ absorptive capacity and, indirectly, on their psychological capital. In general, it was verified that motivational factors can contribute to the transfer of knowledge. Originality/value In general, it was verified that motivational factors can contribute to the transfer of knowledge, however, unlike that found in other studies developed on the subject, these are not direct determinants to the transfer of knowledge, being elements predictors for it to occur learning through its acquisition, which will influence this transfer. Thus, in the sample investigated, the evidences found revealed that the motivation for learning indirectly influences the transfer of knowledge, through the acquired knowledge.

Over the last decades, there has been plenty of research and publications on Political Business Cycles (PBC), aimed at analysing and explaining the use of fiscal and monetary instruments to stimulate economic growth before elections, with the intention of impressing potential voters. Previous research on PBC in Albania reveals clear evidence of fiscal expansion before elections, but no significant changes in GDP and inflation as theory predicts. One possible explanation of this result could be economic agents’ expectations, which is the subject of this paper. We analyse consumers’ expectations before elections, the main factors underlying expectations, and the way in which these expectations influence their behaviour toward spending, and consequently the macroeconomic outcomes, deploying standard econometric methods widely applied in PBC related research. According to our research results, households’ consumption spending decreases before elections because of the higher uncertainty about their future economic situation due to the highly politicised public employment.

A variety of insurance options are used when managing risk in the construction industry. Numerous insurers operating on the Polish market provide suitable types of insurance, thus allowing participants of a construction process to obtain a comprehensive cover against almost all potential risks. Therefore, ‘all-risks’ types of insurance is of particular importance in case of construction and assembly activities. In addition to this instrument, the paper also deals with other forms of insurance used in the construction sector in Poland, which apply to various aspects of activities conducted by actors involved a construction project. This is the main topic of the paper, which also outlines the theory on the subject as well as providing the results of empirical research carried out in this area and emphasizing the practical applicability of the discussions. Consequently, the key aim of the paper is to present the issues related to insurance in the construction industry as a method of financing risk in operations of construction companies. The paper adopts a synthetic approach to these issues. The paper also reviews the related scholarly literature.

Having been delivered about 3 years ago of a paper for the Society's Centenary Journal on the subject of rotorcraft in retrospect—without, apparently, undue birth pains—I was led to think some months ago, when I was asked to write a similar paper—this time on the prospect for rotorcraft in the next 100 years—that the process would perhaps be equally painless. However, unwittingly, I had made one grave logical mistake: I did not realise that this time I was involved with an altogether different bairnie! In looking backwards one is concerned with collecting and collating factual matter from various sources, comparing present views with the views held at the time, and with such hindsight arriving at fairly positive conclusions, a more or less routine logical process, the quality of which is mainly measured by the care taken in considering all important factors in sufficient detail to ensure valid conclusions.
