Purpose. Research and analysis of opportunities to improve the quality of insulation from secondary raw materials to study the prospects of their use in the construction industry as innovative materials with better performance than traditional ones. Materials made from secondary raw materials are of great importance not only in the formation of the building materials market, but also in the Ukrainian economy. The processing infrastructure creates a large number of jobs and tax deductions to the budget. In addition, the consumption of energy resources and the cost of servicing energy mains directly depend on the improvement of the thermal efficiency of premises and structures. The use of modern technologies of building materials combines economy, efficiency and durability of structures. Methodology. An important role in the development of modern construction production is played by the possibility of developing and improving the quality of building materials and technologies for their use. In modern conditions of the market of construction products there is an urgent need for constant modernization of construction processes, due to the efficient use of raw materials and the latest processing methods. With the use of modern information technologies and theoretical and methodological ways to solve problems, it becomes possible to consider options for improving the characteristics of building materials by combining qualitative characteristics and eliminating negative ones. The article examines the problems of improving the marketing activities of small enterprises that produce construction materials. We propose concrete measures based on the experience of the most advanced enterprises that implement innovations and modern information technologies. The most important of them are a deep marketing analysis of the market situation, promotion of their products and services on the Internet, cooperation with large and medium-sized businesses, the introduction of modern technologies into production and the creation of virtual enterprises. At present, competent marketing and sales policy is one of the main factors for increasing competitiveness. Marketing activities can be tailored to any environment and goods. The marketing policy depends on the market share, market development, competitors' actions, consumer influence and industrial enterprise goals.

The article is dedicated to the research and development of intensive methods for curing products by capturing and binding CO2. It aims to improve and increase the productivity of technologies for the production of artificially carbonated building materials and products. Soda production wastes, limestone dust and finely dispersed limestone dust were used as the research objects. Secondary raw materials have been investigated using modern methods of phase composition and granulometry test. Intensive methods of production of accelerated carbonation of systems consisting of soda wastes were tested using multi-parameter optimization methods. The effects of recycled lime materials on the strength and hydrophysical properties of the obtained material were determined. The secondary raw materials effect depended on the composition of the raw mixture, molding conditions, CO2 concentration applied to the carbonate curing chamber, and the duration of exposure to environments with high CO2 content. It was found that the most effective way of providing accelerated carbonation curing of construction materials and products is a combined carbonation method, combining the principles of dynamic and static methods. It was concluded that the optimal CO2 concentration in the gas-air mixtures used for carbonate curing is 30%–40%.

In the development of floor structures new building materials, additives, fillers and secondary raw materials of various properties are increasingly used. It is possible to develop new types of materials with different mechanical properties. Lightweight construction materials are the essential element for industrial floors lightening and thereby for reduce of their weight. This is especially beneficial for multi-storey buildings.

Industrial transition to a totally new level of resources and energy saving necessitates improving the technical level of building materials manufacturing, growing their raw materials base, the assortment, enhancing the quality of manufactured products, cutting their cost price. It requires, first of all, carrying out more detailed research in properties of clay and clay loams, and selecting optimal additives for pottery works. Such disadvantages of clays as burning sensitivity, low compression resistance and flexural strength in a burnt state, low frost resistance cause the impossibility of their application without corrective additives. It is quite difficult to find an additive which can solve all the technological problems mentioned above. This paper provides the development of mixture "clay – electro-melting slag" for ceramic brick, moreover, addition of a steel-smelting slag in the fusion mixture results in the change in mixing water content of ceramic masses, strength and coloration of ceramic samples.

Reusing and recycling of secondary raw materials from high-volume industrial productions (especially form construction materials and binders fabrications) is very important way of conserving environment and it is also interesting from the economical point of view. The production of common hydraulic binders, especially Portland cement, burdens the environment with considerable amount of combustion gases and consumes energy in massive scale. Alternative (low – energy) binder can be used as Portland cement substitution in applications with lower mechanical properties requirements. Mined limestone wash sediments contain large amount of clay components, but there is also indispensable share of fine calcite. This composition makes these sediments a promising material for the preparation of hydraulic binders as Roman cement or hydraulic lime.

The structural engineering community has a strong responsibility to contribute to a more efficient use of natural resources. Nowadays the construction industry is by far the most resource intense industry sector, approximately 40-50% of all primary raw materials are used, which raises the question about the architects and engineer’s accountability. In this context and as a result of the Paris Climate agreement the Dutch government defined the program “Nederland Circulair in 2050”, which states the ambition to use 50% less primary materials in 2030 and to have a full circular economy in 2050.

One possible approach to achieve these ambitious goals is the application of renewable, bio-based materials in the built environment and to replace traditional, typically cement-based, materials. Already in the past natural building materials, such as timber and bamboo have been used widely, but in recent years new materials came up and provide new opportunities to be used in the construction industry. The authors explored various alternatives, such as hemp and flax fibres, mycelium and lignin-based fibres for composite materials, which will be described with various experimental and realised case studies.

during the implementation of the program to restore the housing stock of the Chechen Republic, as well as during the planned demolition of dilapidated housing, significant volumes of technogenic raw materials were generated, in particular, large volumes of brick and concrete scrap. Enterprises for the production of building materials and products also produce significant volumes of production defects, which accumulate over the years at landfills. Ceramic broken brick and broken brick dropouts are used to fill the roadbed, and the main part still goes to the dump and landfill, which is also an environmental problem. One of the promising ways to use dropouts and broken brick itself is to use them as secondary aggregates in concrete and mortars. This article discusses the issues of improving the quality of ceramic concrete mixtures, choosing the optimal composition and technology for mixing concrete mixtures using dust fractions of dropouts for crushing ceramic brick bricks

In this paper, the quality of the municipal waste sorting process in seven waste management centers in Slovenia was assessed using the qualitative multicriteria analysis (MCA) method DEX (Decision EXpert) implemented in DEXi software, which is based on multicriteria decomposition of the problem and utility functions in the form of “if–then” decision rules. The study was based on eight types of secondary raw materials. The quality of the secondary raw materials, the regularity of the delivery of secondary raw materials to recycling units based on the sorting efficiency, and the loading weight of the individual baled fractions in the transport of secondary raw materials for recycling were the main parameters used in the model. The final assessment shows “good” waste management service in centers A and D. Centers B, C, and F were rated “average”. The “bad” rating was assigned to centers E and G.
