The article deals with some interesting engineering solutions implemented in the process of installation of arch span structures of the channel part of the bridge crossing the Volga river in Nizhny Novgorod, due to the design features of the arch span structures and local conditions: technology of assembling arches on the coastal slipway; construction of the slipway for Assembly and tightening of the arch trusses of the arch; technology lateral shifting of the arches on the piers on carriage; design piers of the carriages and pusher device; technology of loading and transportation of arches on floating supports; design of floating supports, their adjustment, strengthening of used barges; snap-in for positioning floating supports; erection strengthening arched spans with temporary stands and pendants; technology of lifting and installation of arches in the design position; used equipment and floating means; a way of immersing the tubular piles piers and methods to confirm their load-carrying ability; necessary coordination with regulatory organizations. The engineering novelty of the above technical solutions in the method of installation of arched superstructures with flexible tightening and cable-stayed suspensions – a design that was not initially adapted to surfacing installation. The author presents drawings and photographs of the most typical auxiliary structures and technological processes that took place during the construction of arch span structures of the bridge. This material can serve as an analogue in the design and construction of such out-of-class bridges across large navigable rivers.

Agriculture is the extremely important and developing economic movement in all times. Automation of agricultural machines occurs by different ways. One way is through the creation of specialized technical solutions for the required technological processes, another way is the construction of automatic agricultural machines, including mobile ones. The state of modern technology allows to create autonomous machines. The agriculture robotization trends are the high precision and unmanned farming. The article considers the issues of robotization of agricultural machinery. Stages of robotization of agricultural mobile machines were analyzed. The factors affecting the autonomous movement of mobile agrorobots were shown.

AbstractIn this paper, I identify issues that arose in a recent pilot project in which designers contributed to the construction field. The project was led by an overall responsible innovation goal for sustainability impact: contribute to global CO2 reduction. The innovation solution being developed to achieve this goal was a sustainable renovation concept intended for upscaling. In this pilot project, it was applied to a social housing block of 12 apartments. The designers sought to help align technical solutions with the residents’ later use of their homes, because the latter is an important factor in achieving a zero-energy outcome. The paper identifies four issues that arose in the collaboration between design and construction and installation professionals. The issues are goal translation, goal dissipation, the contested service interface and the contested responsiveness to residents. I argue that designers can engage and contribute through design intervention and applying care in the collaboration, in order to support the success of responsible innovation.

Abstract In the present article, devices with a discrete secondary part are considered, which act as means of intensifying many technological processes of mixing and dispersing materials. In the classic version, the device has a number of disadvantages. To eliminate the shortcomings, the design of an electromechanical converter with a discrete secondary part was developed, which differs from the classical version by a magnetic system capable of implementing the process of controlling the movement of a large set of ferromagnetic elements along a pre-developed trajectory.

Abstract The object of the study is «Severnaya oil depot of the Lipetsk region». This article defines the occurrence and development of a fire in the tank and the dependence of a number of factors, also indicates the type of flammable liquid, the presence of an explosive concentration inside the tank, the place of the fire, the design features of the tank, the presence and condition of fire protection systems. Also, an assessment of the object from the position of fire hazard was carried out, the calculation of forces and means ensuring their timely and effective connection in cases of fire. The necessity of using modern extinguishing means to eliminate the resulting fire is shown.

The article includes an analysis involving the requirements for the adaptation of rolling stock for use by people with movement dysfunction. The requirements including construction and dimensions have been summarized and detailed conditions necessary to ensure the assumed level of travel comfort for people with reduced mobility with real examples of solutions used in currently operated railway vehicles. The focus was on the requirements set out in Regulation No 1300/2014 regarding technical design and construction solutions for adapting railways to the transport of disabled people, TSI PRM. Based on the collected material, an analysis of the compliance of the actual state with the theoretical one, included in the standard, was carried out. Elements designed and manufactured in a manner consistent with the recommendations contained in the standard, as well as those that require a re-analysis of rolling stock constructors, repair or necessary changes are indicated. The components analyzed included, among others, seating positions, movement zone - including internal and external doors, toilets or platforms enabling access to the interior of the vehicle The opinion of disabled people using rail transport was also included by conducting a survey and performing analysis and then interpretation of the data obtained. Basing on this analysis, solutions that will increase the comfort of travelling for people with disabilities have been proposed.
