The aim of this study is to examine the experiences of the counseling trainees regarding the first practices they have carried out within the scope of Individual Counseling Practicum course. In the current study, phenomenological method based on qualitative approach was used. The sample group of the research consists of 20 participants who are senior students of the Counseling and Guidance undergraduate program and have completed their counseling practices. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview form and analyzed by inductive thematic analysis method. The experiences of the trainees were classified under 6 categories as a) the problems faced by trainees, b) the resources they use to solve their problems, c) their perceptions and experiences of their client's culture, d) contributions of the practices to them, e) their preferences for clients and f) the use of Culturally Sensitive Counseling course contents in counseling practices. The findings of the present study concluded that while the trainees were anxious due to the problems which they encountered during the practicum; they enjoyed many contributions of experiencing counseling. Based on the findings, some recommendations were made.

Background: Recent therapeutic approaches to auditory verbal hallucinations (AVH) exploit the person-like qualities of voices. Little is known, however, about how, why and when AVH become personified. We aimed to investigate personification in individuals’ early voice experiences. Methods: We invited users of Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) services aged 16–65 to participate in a semi-structured interview on AVH phenomenology. Voice-hearers in the first nine months of using EIP were recruited through two NHS trusts in the North-East of England. We used content and inductive thematic analysis to code the interviews, then examined key associations with personification using a variety of statistical methods. Results: Forty individuals participated between September 2017 and April 2019. Many participants reported a range of negative emotions (predominantly fear, 60%, 24/60, and anxiety, 62.5%, 26/40), visual hallucinations (75%, 30/40), bodily states (65%, 25/40), and “felt presences” (52.5%, 21/40) in relation to voices. Complex personification, reported by a sizeable minority (16/40, 40%), was associated with experiencing voices as conversational (OR = 2.56) and companionable (OR = 3.19), but not as commanding or connected to trauma. Neither age of onset nor time since voices were first reported related to voice personification. Conclusions: Our findings affirm recent investigations of the heterogeneity of AVH while offering new insights into the variety and significance of personified voices. Personified voices appear to be distinguished less by their intrinsic properties, commanding qualities or connection with trauma, than by their affordances for conversation and companionship.

Current study aims to reveal the problems that pre-school teachers and parents face, in relation to guidance and counseling services, at schools without psychological counselors. The purpose of including pre-school teachers and parents in the current study was to find out both whether they considered the guidance and counseling services a need and whether their methods of intervention against the problems that they face were functional. The current research was designed with interview technique as a qualitative study method. Research data were collected through a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. The researcher met the participants individually and asked the questions on the interview form for the current research. The responses that the participants provided were recorded and later transferred onto computer environment. The study group, formed based on voluntary participation, included total 30 participants with 15 pre-school teachers and 15 parents of pre-school children. Pre-school teacher participants 10 females and 5 males, worked for five different preschools in Adiyaman. Total 15 parents in the study group included nine females and six males. An examination of pre-school teachers’ responses based on the current study findings indicated that majority of the teachers did not prepare an annual counseling and guidance plan. Another finding of the current study was that children of most parents and teachers experience adjustment problems in pre-school. Another finding of the current research is about children’s individual problems. Main individual problems that parents experienced with their children included self-care and social development.

  The objective was to know the perception of the caregiver about the learning needs of care to be performed at home. This is an exploratory descriptive research, with a qualitative approach. Data collection occurred through a semi-structured interview, from August to October 2014, with six caregivers of patients hospitalized in a medium-sized hospital in the municipality of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul State. The data were analyzed by the content analysis method, identifying two categories: The caregiver's perception about the learning needs; The attendance of the caregiver's learning needs. The study showed that the learning based on empirical, instinctive and observational methodologies, without the participation of the nurse in the process. There is need to improve this learning. The participation of the nurse as an educator in the planning, organization and development of the educational action stands out, since he/she is part of the care; however, the caregivers did not visualize this professional.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to identify the main motivating factors and difficulties in implementing GSCM; and to describe and explain how GSCM is being adopted in the Brazilian automotive industry. Design/methodology/approach – To meet the proposed objectives three case studies will be carried out in a Brazilian automotive industry, performing a total of 13 interviews, based on a research protocol. As the data collection instrument, a semi-structured interview was used based on a pre-established script, direct observation and documents from the organization researched. For the analysis of the results, the content analysis method was used, applying a triangle analysis to the research data with the patterns presented in the theoretical reference. Findings – The paper orients the companies in the automotive sector to adopt GSCM practices and principally that internal actions of automakers can be transferred throughout the supply chain. Practical implications – Contributes in a more practical so that companies evaluate the level of application of their GSCM practices such that they may take more corrective actions to increase the level of GSCM practices. Originality/value – Proposition of one classification system to identify the level of adoption of GSCM practices.

The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Cyprus and Cyprus Turkish History course curriculum’s objectiveness and the teachers’ implementation of the curriculum in schools. The research was conducted using a qualitative research approach and a descriptive research model. The researcher prepared semi-structured interview form to reveal the teachers’ views. Content analysis method was applied through using Nvivo 10 software in the analysis of qualitative data. The analysis of the survey data was conducted by encoding the results, as well as dividing and categorizing the teacher’s feedback and opinions; furthermore, direct opinions have also been noted. According to the findings, not only is there a disparity between the application of the program and its original objectives, but the effectiveness of the curriculum is also questioned.   Keywords: Education, Curriculum, Cyprus and Cyprus Turkish History, Qualitative

This study aims to determine the views of secondary education teachers and school administrators onpositive organizational climate. Case study which is one of the qualitative research methods was usedin the study. A total number of 15 participants (12 secondary education teachers and 3 schooladministrators) constituted the study group of the research. A semi-structured interview formdeveloped by the researchers was used as the data collection tool and the obtained data were analyzedwith content analysis method. Results are presented with themes and frequencies in the tables. Resultsare discussed with relevant literature and recommendations for further research and practices areprovided. It is expected that this study would shed light to further research and practices in terms ofcreating a positive organizational climate in secondary education institutions.Keywords: Organizational climate, secondary education teachers, school administrators, views.

This study aims to obtain problems encountered in special education in the direction of opinions of parents attending to Special Training and Rehabilitation Institution and develop solution suggestions compansating these problems. In the scope of study parents of 20 students were interviewed. Tha datas that were obtained as a result of qualitative semi-structured interview form, were analysed by descriptive analysis method. The participant parents were asked 7 questions about education period, physical conditions, difficulties they encountered regarding their children in the scope of relations of teachers with parents and managers and point of view of society. Most of the participants expressed problems such as most of the problems should be solved by top levels, training hours are insufficient and rejection of society. Keywords: Special education, problems in special education, difficulties of parents

The aim of the present study was to determine the views of pre-service teachers on artificial intelligence. In the present qualitative study, conducted with the phenomenology design, that data were collected from 94 pre-service teachers attending different departments at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Faculty of Education during the 2018-2019 academic year fall semester in Turkey. Data were collected with semi-structured interview form and written interview form, developed by the author. Collected data were analyzed by using content analysis method and classified under themes. Analyses demonstrated that pre-service teachers assigned different meanings to artificial intelligence, felt basically negative emotions for artificial intelligence, and did not want to live in a world ruled by artificial intelligence. Furthermore, it was found that pre-service teachers considered that artificial intelligence could have both several benefits and risks, and it might have both positive and negative effects on education. Based on the study findings, various recommendations were presented for future studies and implementations on the topic.

Aim: The aim of this research is to determine the ways of communication between nurses and patients, the relevant problems, and expectations. Method: The research was carried out within the scope of qualitative research model and using the case study design. Observation and semi-structured interview methods were used in the study. In this context, interviews and observations were made with five nurses working in a university hospital clinic and five inpatients in December 2019. In the analysis of qualitative data obtained from observations and interviews, themes were created using the content analysis method. Results: The research was presented as findings on semi-structured interviews and observations together with introductory features. Findings obtained as a result of the interviews were analyzed as two main themes, three subthemes and codes under each subtheme. Conclusion: To establish a better communication as a result of the research; significant findings were obtained related to the issues of establishing mutual empathy, increasing the level of education, taking patient complaints seriously, increasing the number of employees by improving the technological equipment of institutions, ensuring coordination by creating an atmosphere of trust, nurses’ doing their job lovingly, gaining therapeutic communication skills, and especially explaining medical terms in a comprehensible manner.

Various studies on the use of e-money have been conducted and most of them use the positivism approach, so that it is rarely found in the form of an exploration approach especially with regard to toll roads. The purpose of this study is to explore, describe and analyze people's perceptions in using e-money on the toll road in Makassar City. This study uses a semi-structured interview method in the process of collecting data in the analysis unit. The population of this study consists of three categories: toll road users and e-money users, e-money experts, and toll service providers with 10 participants to be interviewed. Data analysis method used is thematic analysis with the help of cross-case analysis. Based on the results of open coding, it can be concluded that e-money is one form of easy transactions and the use of e-money that is safe, efficient payment and saves time, e-money risk levels are lower. Meanwhile, the way to overcome the problem of using e-money on toll roads is to print and save transaction receipts, maintain e-money cards, make compensation, prepare officers, socialize, and register with vendors.
