Purpose — to explore the level of physical fitness of high school students of public and private schools.Material and methods. study and analysis of educational, scientific and methodological literature; interviews with experts; pedagogical supervision; teacher testing; methods of mathematical statistics. In the study involved 30 boys high school.Conclusions. When comparing the level of physical fitness of students in grades 10 institutions surveyed, found that private school students, unlike students in public with better tests for the long jump, tilt forward flexion extension arms in emphasis in the prone position and the bar and sample Ghencea. Students of public institutions have shown better results for tests flexion extension Wiese hands and tried Syerkina.The study showed that the organization of physical education of high school students surveyed institutions have both positive and negative sides. So positive is the increase in private school half the number of hours time limit and form of a wider choice of sports that students can learn both during lessons and during extra-curricular and extracurricular activities. Along with this, a lower level of health of students of private schools may indicate overloading senior training activities.

AbstractObjectiveIn this study we investigated the socio-psychological effects of both the pandemic and distance learning on high school students in Turkey and Denmark. We aimed to assess whether there were any differences a) between students attending public or private schools in Turkey and b) between two countries having different approaches to pandemic and considerable socio-cultural and economic differences.MethodsWe conducted a web-based questionnaire study in a cross-sectional design using Survey Monkey platform and sent out via social media to high school students from Turkey and Denmark. The survey collected socio-demographic data, several variables associated with pandemic and distance education and their effects on social life and psychological status. Additionally, emotional status was assessed using positive (PA) and negative affects (NA) schedule (PANAS). The survey ran from July 3 and August 31 2020.ResultsWe studied 565 (mean age: 16.5 ± 1.0) Turkish and 92 (mean age:17.7 ± 1.0) Danish students, of whom the majority were female adolescents (63% vs 76%). Students educated in public (47.6%) and private high schools (52.4%) were nearly similar in number in Turkish group, whereas in the Danish sample almost all students were from public school (98.9%). Turkish students were significantly more likely to be compliant with the pandemic related restrictions. Besides that, there were significant socio-economic disparities between Turkish and Danish students and also within Turkey between public and private school students. Turkish online education system was significantly less adequate and satisfactory compared to the Danish system. These were even worse for those who were attending public schools in Turkey. Regardless of the socio-economic differences, the majority of the students in both countries has been negatively affected by the pandemic and related restrictions and had a negative opinion about distance education. This was also true for the PANAS scores. The total scores of PANAS were similar between Turkish and Danish students (PA: 27.0 ± 7.6 versus 25.8 ± 5.6; NA: 24.8± 7.5 versus 24.5± 7.3) and also within Turkey between public and private school students (PA: 26.8 ± 7.5 versus 27.1 ± 7.6; NA: 24.7± 7.2 versus 25.0± 7.8). While female students were significantly more severely affected in the Turkish group, no such gender differences were observed in the Danish group. Additionally, considerable portion of the students in Turkey and Denmark expressed loneliness (55.2% vs 59.8%, p<0.706), boredom (71.2% vs 58.7%, p=0.019) and anxiety towards the future (61.4% vs 22.8%, p<0.001). Decreased physical activity, sleep problems, eating disorders and domestic abuse were other complaints.ConclusionsAdolescents from both countries have been severely affected by the pandemic and its related restrictions and expressed negative views about distance education. Turkish online education system seemed to be less satisfactory when compared to Danish system and within Turkey, public school students had significantly more disadvantages compared to those attending private schools. Despite the fact that there were several socio-economic inequalities among students, in general, there were no robust significant differences regarding psychological status and opinion about distance learning, indicating a global worsening of emotional status during pandemic.

The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of circuit training methods and conventional training methods to the squat-style long jump achievement of high school students in the Lubuklinggau Municipal High School. This type of research is quantitative by using a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study was all of the 9 Public Schools in Lubuklinggau. The sample in this study amounted to 80 students in which 27 students from SMAN 5, 27 students from SMAN 6 and 26 students from SMAN 7 in Lubuklinggau City with a purposive sampling technique. The data collection places at SMAN 5, SMAN 6 and SMAN 7, Lubuklinggau City were conducted from April to June 2019. The data collection technique used was the long jump test and the data analysis technique used was the t-test. The results of this study explain that: The circuit training method has an influence on the improvement of long jump achievement participants in the SMAN extracurricular activities throughout the City of Lubuklinggau, The conventional training method has an influence on improving the long jump achievement of the participants of the SMAN extracurricular activities in the Lubuklinggau City, the circuit training method has an influence better than conventional training methods on the long jump achievement of participants in the extracurricular activities at the Lubuklinggau Municipal High School.

The aim of this study is to examine the association between physical fitness and 2D:4D finger ratio of high school students engaged actively in sports. 23 licensed male athletes and 23 sedentary (n=46) high school students participated in the study voluntarily. The participants age, body weight, body mass index, 2D:4D finger measurement values were recorded and 20 meter shuttle run, 30 meter sprint, sit and reach test, standing long jump and hand grip strength tests were applied on the participants. The data obtained were assessed in SPSS 21 program and the results were assessed at p˂0.05 significance level. While the average age of athletes was 15.82±1.11 years, the average age of sedentary group was 15.13±0.96 years. While statistically significant difference was found between sedentary and athlete groups in terms of VO2max, right and left hand grip strength and long jump average values (p<0.05), no statistically significant difference was found between speed and flexibility measurement results (p>0.05). When the 2D:4D averages of sedentary and athlete groups were compared, statistically significant difference was found between right hand averages (p<0.05). When right and left hand 2D:4D was compared, no statistically significant difference was found in sedentary group (p>0.05), while significant difference was found in athletes (p<0.05). Statistically significant difference was found between 2D:4D averages of both hands with all physical fitness parameters (p<0.05). In the present study, finger ratio of the groups were found to be associated with some motoric and functional dominance parameters.

The objective of this study was to verify the association of psychological factors and body practices with the academic performance of high school students. A sample of 330 students participated, made up of 167 girls and 163 boys. Likert scale instruments were used for collecting information on self-concept, and on general and academic self-efficacy. Time spent on moderate to vigorous physical activity was recorded, and so was participation in several types of body practices, such as sports, dances, martial arts, performing arts, and systematic physical exercises. Academic achievement was referred to from the students' grades on regular subjects. Linear regression analysis was used for verifying the association of independent variables with academic performance. The adjusted regression model explains between 7% and 36% of academic performance variance, whereas Self-Concept explains academic performance on six of the twelve subjects, and the mean of the grades, with Beta values between 0.13 (p = 0.02) for Sociology and 0.28 (p <0.01) for Mathematics. Academic self-efficacy explained performance on eleven subjects and the mean of the grades, with Beta values between 0.21 (p <0.01) for Physical Education and Philosophy, and 0.44 (p <0.01) for Biology. Participation in extracurricular activities involving body practices explained academic performance on six subjects and the mean of the grades, with Beta values between 0.14 (p = 0.02) for Sociology and 0.31 (p <0.01) for Arts. The studied psychological variables and participation in projects concerning body practices during extracurricular activities correlated with academic achievement as to several school subjects, and with the mean of the grades.

The article discusses the features of socialization in education and educationalenvironment in rural and mountain schools. The author analyzes the characteristics of vocationalguidance for adolescents; components of career guidance in schools in rural and mountainousareas. The author believes that the need to create and implement proactive forms and technologiesto learn. It is primarily about school degree, since it is in the high school age formed the basis ofsocial identity formation. This motivated the study of the methodological aspects of the educationof pupils in schools in rural and mountainous areas. Targeting high school students forprofessional work in general secondary education system needs rethinking science, the result ofwhich should be the introduction of educational practice new meaning of educational work, newforms of career guidance. Before modern rural and mountain schools acute problem enhancecareer guidance activities. The main content of professional orientation of young people in ruralareas is to cultivate students' professional interests to sustainable agriculture in the daily academicand extracurricular activities. In this connection it is necessary to start adequate training forinnovative development of rural and mountainous areas in need of systematic approach to trainingprocess that involves complex requirements, which form a system of nature.
