This study was conducted based on the refinement or improvement of vocational secondary education to anticipate the future needs and challenges to be continuous alignment with the needs’ development of the business world of work, the development of science, technology, art and culture. The result of field observation syndicate that the majority of graduates of vocational schools (SMK) cannot be absorbed in the job, since the competent cites they have do not fulfill the demands of the working world yet. Problem formulation of this researches "What industrial-based learning that can improve the competence of women's fashion of vocational student sat dressmaking program? The research applies the evaluation research with the approach of model program evaluation CIPP (context, input, process, and product). The population is all classes of X1 vocational schools in the City and County of Bandung, while the sample is the three vocational schools that apply the 2013 curriculum which covers a fashion industry. Results of the study are: 1.The contexts of industrial-based learning programs that exist at the time being are in accordance with the competency skills women's clothing needed by the industry. 2. The existing industry-based learning programs is appropriate. It is based on the data: a. The students’ condition: background, motivations, and plans after graduation, b. The teachers’ condition: the educational background and learning experience, and .c. Industrial needs. The entire programs which have been developed 90% are in accordance with the needs of industry, d. Facility: there are still about 10-20%, which are not fulfilled yet. 3. The process consists of three parts, namely: planning, implementation and evaluation. The effectiveness of the learning plan already match the views of the suitability of the formulation KI2, KI3, KI4, with the basic competencies, indicators and goals. The Implementation learning category is very appropriate, since it was applying the method, the media, the type of assessment and learning environment in accordance with the purpose of learning that is able to apply factual knowledge, conceptual and procedural. The evaluation of learning activities in schools are already using authentic assessment. 4. The product. Based on the previous evaluation context, input and process, there are component of the industrial-based learning program that has been running quite effective, but there are also some that have not been effective, yet. The conclusions of research are: Industrial-based learning program evaluation through the model CIPP (context, input, process, and product) is accomplished quit optimal, thus recommends that the program should not be stopped, but it requires modification of the model on the program before continuing.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of Blended Learning learning program to evaluate thematic learning in thematic elementary school in terms of context, input, process, SD Insan Kamil Bogor. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were principals, grade IV teachers, and grade IV students. Data collection techniques using interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The assessment criteria as the evaluation benchmark in this study refers to the reference that has been made. The results showed that (1) the thematic learning context component in Insan Kamil Bogor based on the results of interviews with principals and teachers fall into the good category. Learning objectives that are in accordance with the analysis of needs but tend not to be implemented consequently in the thematic learning process because the teacher does not understand the background and the importance of the implementation of thematic learning programs for students in the early grades; (2) the input components of syllabus and RPP aspects, learning facilities, and learning motivation in general are in the excellent category; (3) the process component of the teacher performance aspect in the classroom in general falls into the category of less because so far the teacher has not been maximal in teaching thematic and is more likely to teach the subjects only. It is recommended to teachers and policy makers to be able to conduct innovative evaluations and activities so that thematic learning programs can run as much as possible.

This study aimed to evaluate entrepreneurial learning programs in electronics engineering department at Padang State University engineering faculty in terms of components of context, input, process and product. This study is an evaluation technique using a combination of data analysis (Mixed Method), starting with the use of quantitative methods followed by a qualitative method. Quantitative data was collected using a questionnairE, while that for qualitative data obtained from interviews between investigators and informants were selected. All data obtained will be analyzed by sequential explanatory design. These results indicate that the results of the evaluation in the context of components, inputs and processes that are in good enough category of products while the components are in good category.

Embracing and managing diversity in today’s business world is an essential part of successful business practices as it brings various voices to a team, improves morale and increases overall productivity. However, manager face difficulties in understanding the value of each person’s unique abilities or voice, there may arise some instances where certain employees still have conflicts. Ineffective communication of key objectives results in confusion, lack of teamwork, and low morale. In the office of the attorney general and department of justice now going through a massive influx of young workforce in both gender with diverse educational background and from different ethnic groups have brought a challenge of having different sets of values, expectations, and work styles in the work place and also understanding the other’s culture has been a heavy task on managing work force in the organization. It is due to this regard that this study sought to investigate the influence of workforce diversity on employee performance in the office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice in Nairobi City County, Kenya. The study specific objectives were to examine the influence of educational background diversity, ethnicity diversity, age diversity and gender diversity on employee performance. The theories guiding the study were the human capital theory, social identity theory, social exchange theory and social categorization theory. This study will use descriptive survey research design. The unit of observation was office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice in Nairobi City County, Kenya and the unit of observation was 5 Human Resource Managers and 50 Support Staff from HRM department. A census of 55 respondents was carried out. Primary data was collected using questionnaires. Quantitative data was analysed with the use of descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviations and presented using tables, graphs, charts and figures. Content analysis was used to test data that was qualitative in nature or aspect of the data collected from the open ended questions. Multiple regression analysis was used to test the extent to which the variables relate to each other. The study examined that educational background diversity, ethnicity diversity, age diversity and gender had a positive and significant relationship on employee performance. The study concluded that employees with diverse educational background promote higher levels of consistency, creativity because of their unique perspectives. Ethnicity diversity management improve gains in worker welfare and efficiency, leads to reduced turnover costs, fewer internal disputes and grievances, prevention of marginalization and exclusion of categories of workers, improved social cohesion and so on. Age diversity in the workplace provides a larger spectrum of knowledge, values, and preferences. Having a diverse gender within the organization leads to a wider talent pool, encourages different points of view and approaches that come from different life experiences and the organization to challenge gender stereotypes. The study recommended that the organization should employ people of different backgrounds in education so as to improve creativity and innovation. The organizational management has responsibilities when it comes to promoting and monitoring ethnic diversity policy in the workplace. It is highly essential for the organization to find effective ways to meet the challenges of age diversity because both the old and the young employees can make tremendous contributions to the organization, in their own unique way. The organization should encourage team leaders to select diverse groups for projects to ensure the genders do not naturally separate.

Authentic teaching opportunities are important for all preservice teachers, and service-learning opportunities within community music settings support preservice music teacher development. The purpose of this chapter is to document a service-learning opportunity within a community music school and showcase the benefits and challenges of a partnership between a music teacher preparation program and this school. After defining service learning and describing how it is utilized in music teacher education, the chapter uncovers the following topics: establishing a community music partnership, designing a service-learning opportunity, and evaluating the outcomes of service-learning programs. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the implications of and recommendations for utilizing a multi-tier service-learning program alongside a preservice music teacher curriculum.

Increased global trade coupled with diversified employment opportunities have generated demand for college graduates to possess enhanced interpersonal and foreign communication skills and a well-developed understanding of foreign culture. Horticultural employment opportunities also require students to possess a mastery of horticultural theory with an established record of direct, hands-on experience. Despite these needs, financial limitations of students and academic departments coupled with a lack of available opportunities may restrict students from developing these critical skills. Through development of cooperative learning programs, students have an opportunity to master and refine their horticultural skills while simultaneously raising funds, which are allocated for professional development including an international learning program. This article provides a successful overview of a student-based cooperative learning program that enhances student learning opportunities.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, various changes have occurred in the world of education. Teachers are required to be able to develop online learning so that learning activities can run smoothly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of online learning in universities. The research subjects were lecturers totalling 22 people. The research object includes the effectiveness of online learning programs in terms of context, input, process, and product. The approach used in this study is evaluative. The research model design used is the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process and Product Evaluation Model). The data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the percentage. Next, the data were analyzed by the T-Score formula. The level of effectiveness of online learning was analyzed through the quadrant of the "Glickman" model. The results of data analysis showed that online learning in PGSD, in terms of context, descriptively classified as very good, with an effectiveness percentage of 18.18%. Online learning at PGSD Undiksha in terms of input, descriptively is very good, with an effectiveness percentage of 0%. In terms of process, online learning at PGSD Undiksha is descriptively classified as very good, with an effectiveness percentage of -9.09%. In terms of products, online learning at PGSD Undiksha descriptively is classified as very good, with an effectiveness percentage of 18.18%. It can be concluded that the online learning that has been held is excellent and effective.

The value of experiential learning is explored as it has now become a given among educators and corporate leaders that a university must provide experiential learning programs such as internships; real-life cases in marketing research, advertising, etc.; and voluntary student participation in income tax preparation for the needy and elderly; and many additional types of programs to promote the application of learning and involvement with the world of work.  The paper presents one unique experiential learning program in complete detail—Student in Free Enterprise’s Walgreens Wrangle.  This is a twelve-university business strategy competition sponsored by the Students in Free Enterprise team at Southern Arkansas University that has the three-day involvement of managers of four major corporations.  This period of time to interact both professionally and socially with a corporate group has proven to be invaluable to business majors and provided them with many experiential learning experiences.

The chapter focuses on the main factors, which should be met in order to maximize the effectiveness of a blended e-learning program for adult learners. The factors discussed in this chapter are derived from the perspectives of the learners, scientific staff, administrative staff, and the technical staff engaged in the distance learning process. Specifically, these factors have emerged through the internal evaluation of a national program, Design and Implementation of Distance Learning Programs, implemented in Greece via the Distance Adult Education Center for Lifelong Learning. Findings on the strengths and weaknesses of the program as well as suggestions for implementation of future related programs are also discussed in the chapter. The findings indicate that harmonization of program content and the educational process with the principles of adult education both in face-to-face and online environment has a positive effect on the educational outcome of the program. In addition, the appropriate use of the communication tools in the Learning Management System (LMS) is very important for the effectiveness of the program.

This chapter explores key theoretical concepts relevant to the planning and implementation of international (and domestic) service-learning programs. This chapter explores the power dynamics of international service-learning through four key theoretical concepts: the politics of power, local knowledge, framing, and problem definition. While these ideas are particularly appropriate for international service-learning program, they are also relevant for domestic service-learning partnerships in nearby communities. In addition to providing theoretical frameworks, this chapter identifies recommendations for practice in order to address each of the four challenges identified. Universities must consider these factors if they wish to develop stronger programs with reciprocal benefits to communities and students. With stronger partnerships, better development will occur for both students and community members.
