The proposed system efficiency mark of structuring the share capital of domestic enterprises, consists of three levels. According to this evaluation system, the analysis of the efficiency of structur ing the share capital of domestic automakers over the past eight years has been carried out and the main reasons for the economic downturn in the automotive industry of Ukraine have been identified. According to the analysis, at all investigated enterprises, the profitability of assets is lower than the interest on borrowing. The return on equity of enterprises decreases and acquires negative values, while the profitability of the assets of the investigated enterprises is also negative, as a result of which the profitability of equity with an increase in the level of debt quickly becomes negative. Such a structure of equity is inefficient and unsatisfactory, as the insolvency of enterprises comes along with the onset of obligations. Therefore, an important condition for further economic development of domestic automobile construction companies is the implementation of measures to improve the structure of share capital and optimize it.

This paper presents the complexity of the past two years in the Polish automotive industry and the impact and consequences of the economic downturn. The last two years were extremely challenging for the entire economy, especially the motor industry. The demand for cars decreased at the turn of 2008 and 2009. A dramatic plunge in sales has immediately taken a toll on suppliers and an entire economy. To prevent economic disaster, governments of many states allocated billions of euros and dollars to fund stimulating plans for buyers of the new vehicles. It was an aid which largely saved the sector from the decline. The additional aid packages for the entire economy and the financial sector managed to stabilize the disrupted economy.

Dividend policy is one of the most important activities which investors will wait and interpret the action as a positive signal because it indicates the firm performance (a firm which distributes dividend considered has better performance). Dividend policy is a strategical decision since it will impact firm credibility and firm value. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, growth opportunities, leverage, and size on dividend policy in the automotive industry which listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2009 to 2016. The automotive industry is one of Indonesian middle-class standard measurement and it will be the biggest automotive ASEAN market in 2019. We use secondary data and use pooling regression (panel regression) to analyze the result of the study. The result shows that profit margin, return on asset, and size has positive and statistically significant on dividend policy, growth opportunities has the negative effect and statistically significant on dividend policy, while return on equity and leverage do not affect the dividend policy. Keywords: Profitability, growth opportunities, leverage, firm size, dividend policy

AbstractThe past Greek crisis experience is more or less terra incognita. In all historical empirical studies Greece is systematically neglected or included only sporadically in their cross-country samples. In the national literature too there is little on this topic. In this paper we use the 1930s crisis as a useful testing ground to compare the two crises episodes, ‘then’ and ‘now’; to detect differences and similarities and discuss the policy facts with the ultimate aim to draw some ‘policy lessons’ from history. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to study the Greek crisis experience across the two historical episodes. Comparisons with the interwar period show that the recent economic downturn was faster, larger and more severe than during the early 1930s. More importantly, analysing the determinants of the two crises, we conclude that Greece’s problems arose from its inability to credibly adhere to a nominal anchor.

Over the past 30 years, the partners now collaborating in Europe on fast-reactor development have taken the technology from a theoretical possibility to an engineering reality. In that time there has been a progression from experimental zero energy facilities followed by small power-producing engineering test reactors, to prototype reactors and a large commercial-size reactor. The paper describes the highlights of the reactor programmes in the partner countries and by example illustrates the experience gained from reactor operation and some of the principal activities in the supporting development programme. These include such topics as fuel performance, fast-neutron physics, liquid-metal thermal hydraulics, sodium chemistry, instrumentation and safety aspects. The paper concludes by summarizing some of the main objectives of the current development programme, which is directed to the support of the European Fast Reactor design being prepared by the European design and construction companies.

While requirements engineering has received considerable attention inacademia over the past years, formalization of requirements for physicallyinfluenced systems is still a difficult task in practice. In this paper, we giveformal representations of some typical requirement classes arising in theautomotive industry. We divide these patterns into three main classes:those mostly referring to properties of continuous signals, those mostlyreferring to discrete events and those referring to similarity to a referencesignal. We discuss these patterns on concrete examples from automotiveembedded systems, where specifications are used for test case generation.

Analysis of the main social factors affecting the innovative development of the regions. The main Provisions of the Article. The most important condition for the innovative development of the regions is the effective management impact on the entire set of indicators aimed at improving the functioning of the innovative economy. The most significant and important factors affecting the innovative development of the regions include social factors that are closely related to legal, political and economic factors. The article analyzes the main social factors in the dynamics over the past 10 years and identifies the main problems that negatively affect the innovative development of the regions

The paper focuses on micro-regional structures in the Northern Bohemia, for which the tradition of industrial production is typical. In the case of the studied Děčín and Česká Lípa regions, in the past it was mainly a light processing industry. The micro-regions were defined on the basis of daily commuting data. Firm accounting data available in publicly available financial statements of companies were used to evaluate economic performance. From the relative indicators, value added labor productivity and the average monthly wage were used for the analysis. Surprisingly, an average high economic performance of the manufacturing industry was found in the monitored geographical structures. However, relatively low in the strongest industry, ie. in the automotive industry, which contributed most to the reindustrialisation of the Česká Lípa region. Ie. that foreign investment did not necessarily play a comprehensively positive role here. The typical textile industry in the Děčín region has practically completely disappeared and the whole region shows significant deindustrialisation tendencies.

AbstractThe characteristic transfer parameters of inductive power transfer systems highly depend on the relative position of the coils to each other. While translational offset has been investigated in the past, the effect of rotatory offset on the transfer parameters is widely unclear. This paper contains simulation results of an inductive power transfer system with a rotatory offset in three axes and shows the possible improvements in the coupling coefficient. As a result, rotation angles can be used as control parameters and thereby increase the system efficiency. Alternatively, the allowed misalignment area of the secondary coil can be increased while maintaining the functionality and same dimensions.

Fatigue is commonly reported by persons with HIV and AIDS and is associated with impaired physical function, reduced quality of life, and suboptimal treatment adherence. Patients regard fatigue as an important condition to be addressed because it is disabling and distressing. In the past, fatigue was overlooked and undertreated by physicians, but clinicians caring for persons with HIV and AIDS have been giving more attention to symptom management and patients’ quality of life. Increased attention to symptom management in HIV and AIDS warrants familiarity with major issues in evaluation and treatment of fatigue. This chapter reviews the definition and assessment of fatigue, prevalence of fatigue in HIV/AIDS and its impact on patients, medical and psychological causes of fatigue, and evidence-based treatment strategies.
