the various professional groups of young people. This study involved 60 people aged 20 to 30 years (50% of respondents were girls, 50% were boys), specializing in psychology, law and journalism. We used semi-structured interview, associative method with elements of ranking and emotional attitude, and drawing techniques. We tested the following hypotheses: 1) the social representations of the mentally ill people contain elements with negative valence in all investigated occupational groups of young people; 2) social representations of the mentally ill people are based on such constructs as "otherness"; treatment (hospital, pills, experts); disease (synonyms, names of diseases, symptoms); the attitude of society; 3) social representations of the mentally ill people of lawyers and journalists are simpler and more consistent than those of psychologists. These hypotheses were supported by the empirical results.

Social and familial maladjustment is the inability to conform to a group's habits and norms and to participate in its activities and productions. The purpose of this study is to study the social representations of the social and familial maladjustment of adolescents and young people. This is a case study, using a mixed method essentially qualitative, set in a closed educational center in the Department of Littoral in Benin. The study concerned adolescents and young people admitted to the center and their referents. The respondents in the target population were all male and aged 10 to 23 with an average age of 18 years. The social representations of maladjustment, according to young people and their referents are similar. They concern social disqualification, inadequate educational attitudes, the absence of familial model, educational failure linked to adolescents or young people and mystical-religious representations. Adolescents and young people define themselves as deviants while their referents define them as delinquents. This create an insecurity feeling and a need to protect society. Adults have to integrate themselves earlier in the prevention of this phenomenon with the help and /or child psychiatrist lead.

IntroductionAlthough in close and old connections with psychiatry, dangerousness exceeds psychiatric field because of its transversal feature. By involving a potential attack of others’ integrity, dangerousness implies a social dimension.ObjectiveThe aim was to study social representations of mental disease, which are dominated by the specter of dangerousness and lead to its stigmatization, in order to outline a prevention prospect.MethodThe method was based on a review of literature of main French studies of social representations of mental disorder and mechanisms which lead to its stigmatization.ResultsThe representations of psychiatry in general population are homogeneous and consensual, organized around the figure of the « mad », the « mentally ill » and the « depressive people ». Madness and mental disease are associated with the most violent behaviors and the use of psychoactive drugs. Two dimensions appear in the representation of the dangerous individual, one linked to a trained aggressiveness, the second to an impulsive aggressiveness, confirming the validity of the usual distinction between criminological and psychiatric dangerousness. Three main data are at the source of stigmatization : the fear of what is discerned like a threat, the anomaly through the difference which is carried, and the social regulation.ConclusionThe struggle against mental disease stigmatization can be part of a prevention process allowing through the rehabilitation of the patient in the society the performance of a care which exceeds the simple treatment of the disorder.

Apresenta um recorte da dissertação intitulada “Representações Sociais de educandos surdos sobre a atuação do Intérprete Educacional no Ensino Superior”, queobjetiva analisar as representações sociais de educandos surdos sobre o Intérprete Educacional, buscando identificar as implicações destas representações na aprendizagem e no processo de inclusão educacional dos educandos surdos. Os objetivos específicos são: investigar as imagens e os sentidos atribuídos pelos alunos surdos ao Intérprete de Língua de Sinais, na prática educacional; e identificar como as Representações Sociais sobre os Intérpretes, por parte dos educandos surdos, interferem no processo de sua aprendizagem educacional. Os sujeitos da pesquisa são dez educandos surdos que partilharam suas representações sobre atuação do Intérprete Educacional no nível superior A investigação apresenta enfoque qualitativo, com o uso, nos seus procedimentos, de um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada e da técnica do desenho. A abordagem no campo das Representações Sociais é a processual, de Moscovici (2009), por tratar sobre a gênese das Representações Sociais, analisando os processos de sua formação, a partir da historicidade e do contexto de produção, formando, assim, dois processos de representações: a objetivação e a ancoragem, que têm uma relação dialética entre si. De acordo com os resultados das representações sociais dos educandos surdos, o Intérprete Educacional é peça fundamental na construção da inclusão, haja vista que, sem ele, esses educandos ficam isolados, sem informação e sem aprendizagem. Desse modo, a esse profissional é atribuída a responsabilidade de educar, interpretar e orientar o surdo no contexto do ensino superior.IMAGES AND MEANINGS OF THE EDUCATIONAL INTERPRETER BY DEAF LEARNERS IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAbstractI present a section of the dissertation titled “Social Representations of deaf students on the performance of the Educational Interpreter in Higher Education”. This paper main goal is to analyze the social representations by deaf learners on the educational interpreter, seeking to identify the implications of these representations for their learning and inclusion process. The specific objectives are: to investigate the images and meanings attributed by deaf students to the Sign Language Interpreter and to identify how the social representations interfere in their learning. The research participants are ten deaf students who shared their views on the Educational Interpreter’s performance at the higher education. The research presents a qualitative approach, with the use, in its procedures, of a semi-structured interview and drawing technique. This paper is based on the work of Moscovici (2009), which deals with the genesis of Social Representations. His theory analyses how they are constructed, considering the background and the production context and, thus, forming two processes of Representations: anchoring and objectification, which have a dialectical relationship between them and allow the creation of a figurative nucleus that presents itself with  a symbolic structure. The results show that the Educational Interpreter has a fundamental role in the inclusion, since without him the deaf learner becomes isolated, without access to information and without learning. Therefore, to this worker is assigned the responsibility of educating, interpreting and guiding the deaf person in the context of higher education.Keywords: Social Representations. De acuerdo con los resultados de las representaciones sociales de los estudiantes sordos, el Intérprete Educativo es pieza fundamental en la construcción de la inclusión, ya que sin él, esos educandos quedan aislados, sin información y sin aprendizaje. ABSTRACT Faculty Development seeks to support educators in a range of functions in the areas of teaching, research, extension, management and evaluation. The aim of this study was to evaluate faculty development based on the social representations constructed by the teachers of a medical course. A qualitative survey was carried out, using the analytical method of discourse analysis and social representation as a theoretical contribution. Twelve teachers were randomly selected, and a semi-structured interview was conducted for the data collection. The responses, recorded in audio, were transcribed and discourse analysis was performed with the aim of mapping the social representations constructed by the subjects. The social representations were grouped into two categories: institutional development and personal development. Within the category institutional development, three subcategories were identified: Guiding principles of Faculty Development Programs, Teaching-learning strategies used in Faculty Development Programs, and Skills to be developed by faculty. Within the category Personal development, two subcategories were identified: Development as a person and as a social being, and Professional development. Over the years, a variety of social representations have been constructed in relation to the nature of teaching in medical education, but it is only in recent decades that managers and teachers of educational institutions have begun to focus more closely on this topic. In the present study, it was observed that for faculty development to be effective, the educator must have a desire to learn; however, institutional support and recognition are also essential. Faculty Development Programs must be flexible and adaptable, to meet the needs of the institution and its professors, and encourage reflection on their practices, though the exchange of experiences, the development of interpersonal relationships, and collaboration. However, it is vital to identify and facilitate the development of leadership skills, and to systematically evaluate the process and the results achieved. This will encourage teachers to develop in their academic careers and thereby increase the professionalization of teaching. Managers and teachers can sustain a shared mission to win resources, adapt to change, strive for excellence in the leadership of the organization in a national and international context, and consequently, provide a quality medical education.

AbstractTwo studies were conducted which examined the social representations of chance. In Study 1 (n = 90) an exploratory interview was held with subjects from different occupational groups (theologians, para-psychologists, physicists, statisticians, philosophers, gamblers, "man/woman on the street"). Results showed different metaphors of chance for the groups. Para-psychologists had the most idiosyncratic concept of chance (most of them declaring that chance does not exist). In Study 2 (n = 440, sample of students), the representation of chance was measured using quantitative instruments. Generally chance was represented as something which really exists, which is surprising and not calculable. Believers in psi saw chance as more supernatural than did non-believers. The results of multidimensional scaling provided semantic configurations of chance for believers in psi and non-believers.

This article articulates the debate on the initial training of rural teachers, Youth and Adult Education (EJA) and the psychosocial processes that guide the training of teachers to / in rural schools. To this end, it embarks on the theoretical field of Social Representations (RS) in order to analyze the senses and meanings of teachers who completed the Degree Course in Rural Education under the contribution of their training process to work in the EJA / countryside in the Amazon Paraense. This is a qualitative study of the exploratory / explanatory type that used the questionnaire and the semi-structured interview to collect the data. The results of this study indicate that the Social Representations of the teachers about the Degree in Rural Education are enrolled in meanings that reaffirm that specific training, geared to the needs of rural people, contributed with knowledge and teaching-learning processes that potentialized (re) thinking and innovating pedagogical practices. The rural teachers also see the course as a space for the production of differentiated knowledge of being and becoming a teacher of EJA in the field, insofar as they help to understand the social and political dynamics of the peasant way of life in the Brazilian Amazonian rural areas.

RESUMOObjetivo: apreender as representações sociais de jovens escolares acerca do papilomavírus humano por meio de uma web rádio. Método: trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, exploratório-descritivo, realizado por meio de registros documentais do programa “Em sintonia com a saúde”, da web rádio Ajir, de uma universidade, com 215 jovens de escolas públicas. Organizaram-se os dados pelo software Iramuteq, analisando-os com base na Teoria de Representações Sociais e na literatura relacionada. Apresentaram-se os resultados em forma de figuras. Resultados: evidenciou-se o conhecimento dos jovens acerca da temática e dos fatores de proteção e de risco. Conclusão: verificam-se percepções diferenciadas a respeito da doença, carregadas de inúmeras dúvidas, configurando a necessidade de diálogo com os jovens, sendo a web rádio uma ferramenta de importante alcance na educação em saúde. The purpose of the article: The purpose of this study is to identify the social representations of students about the manifestations of social apathy and its causes. The leading methods for the study of this problem are the method of questioning, which allows conducting a qualitative analysis of students’ social representations about the manifestations of social apathy and its causes; to identify the opinion of students about the manifestations of social apathy in the behavior of young people. Materials and methods: As the main method of research in this work, the method of questioning is chosen. Results of the research: Positions of overcoming of social apathy are allocated: social apathy is a personal problem with which the person has to cope independently, nobody can help him with it; the help of collective in the solution of this problem is necessary; participation of professional psychologists is necessary. The point of view of students is revealed that the solution to this problem has to be complex: the person, collective, psychologists, other social institutions. A number of features of social behavior attributed to people subject to social apathy are shown: unsociability, isolation, irresponsibility, passivity, immersion in their own problems, exposure to someone else's influence, and an understated level of claims. Applications: This research can be used for universities, teachers, and students. Novelty/Originality: In this research, the model of reasons for student social apathy is presented in a comprehensive and complete manner.

A ESPERANÇA INDÍGENA ATRAVÉS DE POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS BRASILEIRAS INDIGENOUS HOPE THROUGH BRAZILIAN PUBLIC POLICIES LA ESPERANZA INDÍGENA POR MEDIO DE POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS BRASILEÑAS RESUMO Estima-se que os povos indígenas no Brasil contavam com uma população em torno de 2 a 5 milhões de habitantes na época do descobrimento. Atualmente há cerca de um milhão. Há o desânimo e a falta de perspectivas nesses povos muitos dos quais vivem em regiões afastadas nas matas O objetivo do artigo é desvelar as representações sociais associadas às perspectivas desses povos e a sua possibilidade de melhoria. Realiza-se uma pesquisa na qual se verifica as representações sociais por meio de entrevista, no ano de 2017, em graduandos de um curso de Licenciatura Indígena. Verificou-se nos entrevistados, a presença do senso comum que aponta para a necessidade da educação dos povos indígenas. Observou-se a esperança para melhoria das condições desses povos que vem através dos cursos de Licenciatura Indígena que têm ajudado a preservar aspectos histórico-sociais, culturais e possibilidades futuras uma vez que os licenciados voltam para suas aldeias para trabalhar a educação básica nos jovens. ABSTRACT It is estimated that indigenous peoples in Brazil had a population of about 2 to 5 million inhabitants at the time of discovery. There are now about one million. There is discouragement and lack of perspective on these peoples, many of whom live in remote regions of the forest. The purpose of this article is to unveil the social representations associated with the perspectives of these peoples and their possibility of improvement. A research is carried out in which the social representations are verified by means of interviews, in the year of 2017, in undergraduates of an Indigenous Licentiate course. It is verified among the interviewees, the common sense that points to the need of education of indigenous peoples. It was observed the hope for the improvement of the conditions of these peoples that come through the courses of Indigenous teachers formation that have helped to preserve historical-social aspects, cultural and future possibilities once graduates return to their villages to work on basic education of young people. Objective: the study aims to analyze the social representations on the ethical and bioethical aspects in the research elaborated by academics of the Dentistry Course. Methods: it is a qualitative research based on the Theory of Social Representations carried out with 80 academics of the Dentistry course. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview script, processed in the IRaMuTeQ and analyzed by the Descending Hierarchical Classification. The study followed the ethical standards recommended by Resolution n. 466/2012, obtaining approval from the Ethics Committee of UNINOVAFAPI University Center. Results: The corpus analyzed in the study is composed of 79 units of initial context (UCI) with use of 62%. The results are presented in four classes, namely: 4. The understanding of Ethics and Bioethics in research; 3. Researcher's social position; 1. Legal responsibilities of the researcher and 2. Normative aspects of research ethics - legal basis. Conclusion: Scholars represent ethical and bioethical aspects in research as essential to respect human dignity and protect the lives of research participants, with a focus on normative aspects of research ethics through Research Committees. Their attitudes are guided by their conditions of life, their beliefs and cultures of different social contexts. Keywords: Bioethics, ethics, social psychology.
