Wireless communication signals are unstable, WSN network topology changes frequently, network dynamics are strong, and single path forwarding is difficult to provide high quality of service. A vector address-based end-to-end multi-path forwarding mechanism and path recovery algorithm are proposed. Although a single path cannot continuously guarantee network connection, multiple paths together can provide network connection with high reliability. In this method, the caller applies for and stores multiple relatively independent communication paths, and ranks them for use according to the path cost. The experimental results show that the performance of the above method is significantly improved.

Based on the application of the conditional mean rule, a sampling-recovery algorithm is studied for a Gaussian two-dimensional process. The components of such a process are the input and output processes of an arbitrary linear system, which are characterized by their statistical relationships. Realizations are sampled in both processes, and the number and location of samples in the general case are arbitrary for each component. As a result, general expressions are found that determine the optimal structure of the recovery devices, as well as evaluate the quality of recovery of each component of the two-dimensional process. The main feature of the obtained algorithm is that the realizations of both components or one of them is recovered based on two sets of samples related to the input and output processes. This means that the recovery involves not only its own samples of the restored realization, but also the samples of the realization of another component, statistically related to the first one. This type of general algorithm is characterized by a significantly improved recovery quality, as evidenced by the results of six non-trivial examples with different versions of the algorithms. The research method used and the proposed general algorithm for the reconstruction of multidimensional Gaussian processes have not been discussed in the literature.

ABSTRACT The issue of this article concerned the discussion about tools frequently used tools for assessing neuropsychiatric symptoms of patients with dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease. The aims were to discuss the main tools for evaluating behavioral disturbances, and particularly the accuracy of the Neuropsychiatric Inventory - Clinician Rating Scale (NPI-C). The clinical approach to and diagnosis of neuropsychiatric syndromes in dementia require suitable accuracy. Advances in the recognition and early accurate diagnosis of psychopathological symptoms help guide appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. In addition, recommended standardized and validated measurements contribute to both scientific research and clinical practice. Emotional distress, caregiver burden, and cognitive impairment often experienced by elderly caregivers, may affect the quality of caregiver reports. The clinician rating approach helps attenuate these misinterpretations. In this scenario, the NPI-C is a promising and versatile tool for assessing neuropsychiatric syndromes in dementia, offering good accuracy and high reliability, mainly based on the diagnostic impression of the clinician. This tool can provide both strategies: a comprehensive assessment of neuropsychiatric symptoms in dementia or the investigation of specific psychopathological syndromes such as agitation, depression, anxiety, apathy, sleep disorders, and aberrant motor disorders, among others.

Networks on Chips (NoCs) are required to tackle the increasing delay and poor scalability issues of bus-based communication architectures. Many of today's NoC designs are based on single path routing. By utilizing multiple paths for routing, congestion in the network is reduced significantly, which translates to improved network performance or reduced network bandwidth requirements and power consumption. Multiple paths can also be utilized to achieve spatial redundancy, which helps in achieving tolerance against faults or errors in the NoC. A major problem with multipath routing is that packets can reach the destination in an out-of-order fashion, while many applications require in-order packet delivery. In this work, we present a multipath routing strategy that guarantees in-order packet delivery for NoCs. It is based on the idea of routing packets on partially nonintersecting paths and rebuilding packet order at path reconvergent nodes. We present a design methodology that uses the routing strategy to optimally spread the traffic in the NoC to minimize the network bandwidth needs and power consumption. We also integrate support for tolerance against transient and permanent failures in the NoC links in the methodology by utilizing spatial and temporal redundancy for transporting packets. Our experimental studies show large reduction in network bandwidth requirements (36.86% on average) and power consumption (30.51% on average) compared to single-path systems. The area overhead of the proposed scheme is small (a modest 5% increase in network area). Hence, it is practical to be used in the on-chip domain.

Cellular vehicle-to-everything- (C-V2X-) based communications can support various content-oriented applications and have gained significant progress in recent years. However, the limited backhaul bandwidth and dynamic topology make it difficult to obtain the multimedia service with high-reliability and low-latency communication in C-V2X networks, which may degrade the quality of experience (QoE). In this paper, we propose a novel cluster-based cooperative cache deployment and coded delivery strategy for C-V2X networks to improve the cache hit ratio and response time, reduce the request-response delay, and improve the bandwidth efficiency. To begin with, we design an effective vehicle cluster method. Based on the constructed cluster, we propose a two-level cooperative cache deployment approach to cache the frequently requested files on the edge nodes, LTE evolved NodeB (eNodeB) and cluster head (CH), to maximize the overall cache hit ratio. Furthermore, we propose an effective coded delivery strategy to minimize the network load and the ratio of redundant files. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed method can effectively reduce the average response delay and network load and improve both the hit ratio and the ratio of redundant files.

<p>A unified catalogue containing 290 tsunamis generated in the European and Mediterranean seas since 6150 B.C. to current days is presented. It is the result of a systematic and detailed review of all the regional catalogues available in literature covering the study area, each of them having their own format and level of accuracy. The realization of a single catalogue covering a so wide area and involving several countries was a complex task that posed a series of challenges, being the standardization and the quality of the data the most demanding. A “reliability” value was used to rate equally the quality of the data for each event and this parameter was assigned based on the trustworthiness of the information related to the generating cause, the tsunami description accuracy and also on the availability of coeval bibliographical sources. Following these criteria we included in the catalogue events whose reliability ranges from 0 (“very improbable tsunami”) to 4 (“definite tsunami”). About 900 documentary sources, including historical documents, books, scientific reports, newspapers and previous catalogues, support the tsunami data and descriptions gathered in this catalogue. As a result, in the present paper a list of the 290 tsunamis with their main parameters is reported. The online version of the catalogue, available at http://roma2.rm.ingv.it/en/facilities/data_bases/52/catalogue_of_the_euro-mediterranean_tsunamis, provides additional information such as detailed descriptions, pictures, etc. and the complete list of bibliographical sources. Most of the included events have a high reliability value (3= “probable” and 4= “definite”) which makes the Euro-Mediterranean Tsunami Catalogue an essential tool for the implementation of tsunami hazard and risk assessment.</p>

Abstract In the use of internet networks that are general in nature need to implement an appropriate network configuration to maximize the use of internet connections provided by service providers. This is important for the optimal use of internet services and in accordance with utilities that are basically general and shared can be achieved. Per Connection Classifier is a load balancing method for distributing traffic loads to more than one network connection point in a balanced way, so that traffic can run optimally. This research focuses on network configuration methods to maximize internet usage for all users. Quality of Service is used to see the performance of network traffic which is indicated by the value of the parameter delay, throughput, and packet loss. Based on the results of testing and research that have been carried out before and after using load balancing per connection clasifier, the delay value is decreased from 180.26 ms to 148.36 ms and throughput increased from 1.76% to 2.03%, then packet loss decreased from 25.37% to 18.59% according to the TIPHON standard. Keywords: Quality of Service, Per Connection Classification, load balancing, delay, throughput, packet loss

Breeding takes the main place in the complex of measures for intensification of dairy cattle breeding. A characteristic feature of breeding work is identification of the most valuable genotypes and their further use in cattle population. The Holstein breed is considered one of the most highly productive breeds, in many countries of the world it is used for the genetic improvement of local breeds. In this regard, a comparative assessment of methods for determining the breeding value of bulls of different genotypes obtained by interbreeding is relevant. The results of assessment of genetic superiority of the used breeding bulls in terms of milk productivity of daughters for the first lactation through interannual deviations of the homogeneous peers are presented, the best producers in all the studied herds are identified, it is established which breeds the best and worst breeding bulls belong to. The research revealed that 18% of bulls had genetic superiority at controlled farms (9% - Holstein breed, 6% - Yaroslavl crossbreeding bulls, 3% - Mikhailovsky type’s bulls), a negative value - 24% including 9% - Yaroslavl crossbreeding bulls, 9% - Mikhailovsky type’s bulls and 6% - Holstein bulls. A comparative evaluation of the two methods showed a high reliable positive correlation between results of Mikhailovsky type bulls and Yaroslavl crossbreeding bulls equal to 0.82 and 0.56, respectively, which indicates a high reliability of the method of genetic superiority index, which can be used to evaluate bulls during crossbreeding. It is possible to increase the genetic potential of herds by excluding producers with a negative genetic index. The obtained results are recommended to be used when mating bulls and for development of breeding programs for individual herds or entire population

Metal 3D printing is one of the fastest growing additive manufacturing (AM) technologies in recent years. Despite the improvements and capabilities, reliable metal printing is still not well understood. One of the barriers of industrialization of metal AM is process monitoring and quality assurance of the printed product. These barriers are especially much highlighted in aerospace and medical device manufacturing industries where the high reliability and quality is needed. Selective Laser Melting (SLM) is one of the main metal 3D printing methods where it is known that more than 50 parameters are affecting the quality of the print. However, the current SLM printing process barely utilize a fraction of the collected data during production. Up to this point, no study to the best of our knowledge examines the correlation of factors affecting the quality of the print. After reviewing the current state of the art of process monitoring for metal AM involving SLM, we propose a method to control the process of the print in each layer and prevent the defects using data-driven techniques. A numerical study using simulated numbers is provided to demonstrate how the proposed method can be implemented.
