AbstractThe National High School Examination (ENEM) has become one of the most of the main Brazilian quality evaluation policies in the field of basic education. The expansion and attributions invested in the test make indispensable the discussions about its structure and quality. In order to contribute to this theme, we propose to analyze 11 Maths questions to ENEM from 2016 to 2018 and related to Measures of Central Tendency: arithmetic mean; weighted arithmetic mean, median and mode. It was used a quantitative and exploratory methodology, developed through psychometrics methods applied to a significant sample of students that made the exam. The results pointed to well-structured items, that favor logical reasoning and interpretation and that have an excellent ability discriminate groups with different levels of. Its highlight the confusion between concepts of arithmetic mean and weighted arithmetic mean, that represent the most of the questions analyzed. It is hoped that this research may help clarify some concepts of psychometry and can assist in the teaching-learning process of statistics in basic education. Keywords: Measures of Central Tendency. In the article we seek to address questions regarding the interest of graduates of a degree course in Natural Sciences and Mathematics in relation to the teaching career in basic education. The course enables its graduates to work in the subjects Science and Mathematics in the final years of elementary school and Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in high school. Our intention is to identify and reflect on the perceptions of these graduates about teaching, highlighting with this inherent aspects to the exercise of this profession in basic education. From the application of questionnaires to graduates of this course, we produced data regarding their performance in basic education, which enabled us to reflect on the national scenario in relation to the exercise of this profession. We could observe that the majority of the students participating in the research are not working in basic education and that the current scenario of devaluation of the teaching career exerts a significant influence in the decision making process of choosing or not the teacher profession for professional performance after graduation.

This study first approaches the history of the observer’s gaze, that is, as observers, we are forming or constructing our way of visualizing moving images. Secondly, it reaffirms the importance and need of resistance of the teaching / learning of Art as a compulsory curricular component for high school. Finally, the third part reports an experience with video art production in a class of first year high school students, establishing an interrelationship between theory and practice, that is, we study video art content to reach the production of videos, aiming as a final result, the art videos created by the students of the Reference Center in Environmental Education Forest School Prof. Eidorfe Moreira High School. The first and second stages of this research share a theoretical part of the Master ‘s thesis, Making films on the Island: audiovisual production as an escape line in Cotijuba, periphery of Belem, completed in 2013.

The study is devoted to the organization of the teaching/learning content of visual art and self-expression process in practice. The article, based on theory, explains creative self-expression in the context of pupil's meaningful learning, based on the new education policy and the developed guidelines in basic education. The individual experience of prospective primary school teachers and their understanding of self-expression in visual art has been clarified during the reflection and pedagogical observation in the study process in methods of teaching visual art which led to stating the research problem. The theoretical account offered in the article reveals pedagogical possibilities for prospective teachers to organize purposefully self-expression classes in visual art during the teaching practice so that the pupil, learning visual art without professional literacy in art, improved his/her transversal skills acquiring the experience of self-guided learning, critical thinking and problem-solving, innovation, cooperation, and civic participation.

In the current note, we investigate the mathematical relations among the weighted arithmetic mean–geometric mean (AM–GM) inequality, the Hölder inequality and the weighted power-mean inequality. Meanwhile, the proofs of mathematical equivalence among the weighted AM–GM inequality, the weighted power-mean inequality and the Hölder inequality are fully achieved. The new results are more generalized than those of previous studies.

In solid geometry needed the ability to visualize space that cannot be seen so differences in visual intelligence can trigger errors in solving geometry problems. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the types of errors made by students and the factors that cause errors in working on geometry problems based on Newman's Error Analysis (NEA) in terms of visual intelligence. This research chose the subjects of class XII high school who had studied the material distance points to lines in space with different levels of visual intelligence, namely high and low. The process of collecting data used visual intelligence test questions, geometry test questions, and interviews. The results of this study indicated that the level of students' visual intelligence affects the difference in location and the factor that causes errors in the stage of transformation especially on determining the distance in dimension 3. Students with high visual intelligence made mistakes at the stage of transformation and encoding that caused by the students’ carelessness. However, students with low visual intelligence made mistakes at the stage of comprehension, transformation, process skills, and encoding due to the concept of the point distance to the line and the concept of the Pythagorean theorem.

Abstract The aim of this study was to determine sustainable learning levels of students. The study also attempted to determine sustainable learning levels of students based on gender and grade. The participants of the study consisted of 742 high school students (354 females and 388 males) in various high schools in Babaeski district of Kırklareli, Turkey during the 2017–2018 academic year. In order to collect data, a scale with two subscales – behavioural and cognitive – was developed. The data were analysed through SPSS 17, and arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test and one-way analysis of variance (One Way Anova) were used. According to the results of the study, it is concluded that sustainable learning level of the high school students is moderate. The study also found a significant variation in favour of the female students in “learning for development” subdimension on the cognitive subscale of the scale.
