This article shows how ninth grade students from Eduardo Umaña Mendoza school in Bogotá, find dynamic and interesting paths in the teaching-learning process when comparing the results of a pre and post survey that inquiries about physical capacities and sports. The intervention is an implementation of a mobile application that proposes interactive and current paths in the educational process. The results are compared with quantitative statistical methods and it is concluded that the application affects efficiently the acquisition of knowledge in physical capacities and sports of ninth grade students, compared to a control group, and that the implementation of a mobile application has more significance than the traditional model.

The objectives of this study are (1) to find out the speaking ability of students in grade 9th of SMP SultanAgung 1 taught without using Cartoon “frozen” movie. (2) to find out the speaking ability of students in grade 9th of SMP Sultan Agung 1 taught with cartoon “frozen” movie. (3) to know the difference in speaking ability of students in grade 9thin SMP Sultan Agung 1 taught with and without using cartoon “frozen” as Media.This study investigates the speaking ability of the students taught using cartoon “frozen” movie as media, the speaking ability of the students taught without using cartoon “frozen” movie as media, whether or not there is significant difference of speaking ability between the students taught using cartoon “frozen” movie and those taught without cartoon “frozen” as media..This study, belongs to experimental quantitative method. The population of the study was ninth grade students of SMP Sultan Agung 1 Semarang. In this study, purposive sampling has been used to take the samples. The samples were 9A as experimental group, and 9E as control group. Then, the instruments of this study were test and document.It was found that the mean of experimental group was 72.53. Meanwhile, the mean of control group was 60.67. The mean of experimental group was higher than the mean of control group. So, it found that there was significant difference of the speaking ability between the students taught using cartoon “frozen” movie and those taught without using cartoon “frozen” movie as media.From the research findings, it can be concluded that since the use of cartoon “frozen” movie as modelin teaching speaking , the students were more interested in teaching learning process. It was proven based on the computation. The result of t-test was3.71 and t-table was 2.00. So the value of t-test was higher than t-table (3.71>2.00).It concludes that using cartoon “frozen” movie as media can promote students speaking ability. Based on the conclusion, some suggestions were proposed for the teacher and the students. The teacher can use cartoon “frozen” movie as media for teaching speaking. The students can use cartoon “frozen” movie to enhance the understanding of the content information, and to promote their speaking ability.

This quasi-experimental study aimed to investigate the effect of Stepanz' model in changing the alternative chemical concepts on the achievement of ninth-grade students. The participants of the study were 50 ninth grade male students who were distributed randomly into two groups: experimental group and control group. To answer the question of study, data was gathered and analyzed using (T-test). The results showed that there were statistically significant differences (p. < 0.05). In students mean scores with regards to their achievement. Those differences were in favor of the students who were taught using Stepanz model. In light of these results, the researcher recommend adopting Stepanz model in the teaching -learning process and training in-service teachers and reforming the scientific subjects in accordance with this model. In addition, the researcher recommends that more researches to be conducted to examine the effect of Stepanz model in changing the alternative chemical concepts on the achievement of students at different grade levels and in other subjects.

Resumo: Este trabalho é resultado de um projeto universitário desenvolvido por meio de oficinas de educação financeira junto aos alunos do oitavo e nono ano do Ensino Fundamental da modalidade Educação de Jovens e Adultos de uma escola pública no município de Araraquara. Os objetivos do projeto foram proporcionar aos alunos discussões de temáticas que contribuíssem para aprimorar suas habilidades e competências em situações financeiras e, ainda, incluir neste contexto de ensino-aprendizagem um outro recurso, o computador. As oficinas foram desenvolvidas usando duas abordagens; uma sistêmica, com apresentação dos conteúdos; e outra, prática, com o uso do computador, especificamente de planilhas do Excel. Os resultados apontam que o computador, principalmente o software trabalhado, possibilitou aos estudantes construir e explorar os conceitos financeiros abordados nas oficinas mostrando-se, assim, uma metodologia integradora no processo de ensino-aprendizagem para a educação financeira como parte da educação matemática. Computer use in financial education: an account of experience in education of youth and adults Abstract: This work is the result of a university project developed through financial education workshops with the eighth and ninth grade students of the Youth and Adult Education modality of a public school in the city of Araraquara. The objectives of the project were to provide students with discussions on topics that contributed to improve their skills and competences in financial situations and also to include in this teaching-learning context another resource, the computer. The workshops were developed using two approaches; a systemic one, with presentation of the contents; and another, practice, using the computer, specifically Excel spreadsheets. The results show that the computer, especially the software, enabled the students to construct and explore the financial concepts addressed in the workshops, thus showing an integrative methodology in the teaching-learning process for financial education as part of mathematics education. This study aimed at examining the effect of Instructional software for earth and environmental subject on Increasing achievements of ninth grade students at king Abdullah the II for excellence school in Irbid. In order to achieve the objective of the study، The researcher adopted the experimental method، and prepared instructional software and achievement test، the subjects of the study consisted of (53) ninth basic graders، (27) males، (26) female. The subjects were randomly distributed into two groups، (26) of them in the experimental group taught by the instructional software، and (27) in the control group taught by the conventional method. The results of the study indicated that there were statistical significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) due to the teaching method، the mean value for control group is (20.44)، while the mean value for experimental group is (23.19)، in the favor of the experimental group subjects taught by the instructional software، and there were no statistical significant differences due to the gender or to the interaction between the gender and teaching method. The study suggested a number of recommendation and implications in order to increase students achievement in earth & environmental subjects and all curriculums.

The dramatic advancement technologies, particularly mobile applications, have influenced the education sector. The integration of mobile applications in education to change the teaching-learning process has taken place and led to innovative learning, including English language learning. Hence, this study aimed to find out the students’ perceptions and the factors influencing students’ perceptions toward the use of mobile application in learning English particularly speaking. To reach the objectives, this study used case study as the research method. The data were collected mainly through interview and observation. The participants were five vocational school students in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. They were purposively selected because they had been familiar with mobile application and they had been taught speaking English using mobile application by their teacher, so that they could give adequate information.  The research findings showed positive perception from the students toward the use of Learn English Conversation application in learning speaking. They declared that the use of Learn English Conversation application could facilitate them in practicing speaking, bring fun and enjoyable learning during the learning process. Moreover, their positive perceptions were influenced by several factors such as the flexibility and the new learning experience given by the mobile application, the ease to run the mobile application and unrequired a lot of internet quota when the students run the mobile application.

The study aimed to investigate the effect of a strategy based on multiple intelligences in developing reading comprehension skills in Arabic language for ninth grade students compared to the usual method. The sample of the study, which was chosen randomly, consisted of (75) students divided into two groups, an experimental group totaling (38) students, and a control group totaling (37) students from the ninth grade students from Abdullah II School for Excellence in the Directorate of Education in Aqaba Governorate for the academic year 2020/ 2021. To achieve the goal of the study, the researcher designed the study tools, which are: a list of reading comprehension skills, the educational program, and a test of reading comprehension skills. The results showed a statistically significant difference at the level (α = 0.05) between the two groups in favor of the experimental group that was studied using the multiple intelligences strategy. The study recommended employing a strategy based on multiple intelligences in teaching reading to primary school students.

The objective of the research was to determine the incidence of the use of GeoGebra in the learning process of graph of functions of the subject of Mathematics 1 in the students of the first semester of the School of Electronic Engineering in Telecommunications and Networks of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo. The research is bibliographic, descriptive and quasi-experimental, to which a hypothesis to be demonstrated was proposed. A curricular plan was considered which was developed by a control group (traditional method - 38 students) and an experimental group (use of GeoGebra - 37 students). The groups were evaluated in 2 parts, in the (Pre) and (Post) phases through an evaluation rubric composed of different activities. An intervention plan was applied for the experimental group that allowed to establish an improved scenario to the traditional one. The obtained data from each group represented the academic performance, which was tabulated, analyzed and interpreted. Finally, the results were subjected to a Ztest, which allowed to determine the use of GeoGebra as an academic support tool that has a positive impact on the teaching-learning process of representation of the results of the graphs of functions.

The aim of this mixed research is to analyze the students' perception about the use of the collaborative wall in the educational process of global climate change considering data science. The collaborative wall is a web application that allows the active participation of students and discussion of ideas in the classroom. During the face-to-face sessions, the students use mobile devices to share the information and images of the courses through the collaborative wall. The sample is made up of 74 students from the National Preparatory School No. 7 “Ezequiel A. Chávez” who took the Biology IV course during the 2019 school year. The results of machine learning (linear regression) indicate that the organization of ideas and dissemination of information in the collaborative wall positively influence the learning process of global climate change, motivation and interest of the students. Data science identifies 6 predictive models about the use of the collaborative wall in the field of Biology through the decision tree technique. In fact, the use of the collaborative wall in the Biology IV course facilitated the assimilation of knowledge about the global climate change and improved the active participation of the students in the classroom. Finally, the collaborative wall allows the creation of new educational spaces where students acquire the main role during the learning process.

The study aims at developing the valid Contextual Teaching-Learning (CTL) Approach-based audio visual learning media in order to improve the learning motivation and the critical thinking skills significantly and also at identifying the effectiveness level of the Contextual Teaching-Learning (CTL) Approach-based audio visual learning media in improving the students’ learning motivation and critical thinking skills. Therefore, autoatically the nature of the study is research and development. During the conduct of the study, the data were gathered by using the random sampling technique. Then, the data gathering instruments that had been implemented were the media assessment questionnaire, the observation, the motivation questionnaire and the critical thinking skills test. The results of the study show that the Contextual Teaching-Learning (CTL) Approach-based audio-visual learning media that has been developed by using the Borg & Gall model is considered valid. The students’ learning motivation has increased as having been confirmed by the fact that the students are more enthusiastic, more interested and happier in attending to the learning process. Furthermore, the results of the students’ critical thinking skills test in the experimental group show that 25 students have met the passing grade while the remaining 6 students have not met the passing grade. On the other hand, the results of the students’ critical thinking skills test in the control group show that 20 students have met the passing grade while the remaining 12 students have not met the passing grade. In other words, these findings show that the learning process through the use of the Contextual Teaching-Learning (CTL) Approach-based audio-visual learning media is able to improve the students’ learning motivation and critical thinking skills.

Introduction. The English language is a mandatory subject in elementary, secondary, and higher education in Ecuador. To become proficient, a broad knowledge of grammar is needed because it is considered the backbone of a language. Objective. This research aims to implement graphic organizers in the teaching-learning process of grammar tenses. Methodology. This inquiry took place at a university of Riobamba with a target population of 62 A2 level students. A quasi-experimental research, was carried out with 31 students that were the experimental group and the same number of students as the control group. A pre-test was applied to both groups to evaluate their grammar skills. After that, both groups were given a post-test to determine if the graphic organizers implemented made any improvement on the students’ performance regarding grammar tenses. Results. The post-test results demonstrated that the competence of the experimental group students has been enhanced after implementing graphic organizers. Conclusion. The students were able to clear up their ideas and to establish better relationships between graphical and cognitive demands.
