The content of cytokines, and gangliosides metabolism, and the quantity of lipid peroxidation products were studied at experimental brain edema. Data obtained show increase the level of proinflammatory cytokins and decrease the level of antiinflammatory cytokines during development of brain edema. Along with this we reveal the accumulation of lipid peroxidation products (diene conjugates, hydroperoxides, and malonic dialdehyde). Each fraction of gangliosides decreased, but the product of their hydrolytic dissociation sphingosine increased at experimental brain edema.

The aim of the study was to determine the level of diene conjugates in the oral fluid during tetramethylthiuram disulfide intoxication. As a result, it was found that on day 28, the greatest toxic effect of TMDT was detected, which exceeded the control values by 4 times (400%).. The concentration of DC on days 7, 14, and 21 increased by 158.3%, 225.0%, and 258.3%, respectively. The results obtained indicate the accumulation of lipid peroxidation products of diene conjugates with an increase in the duration of pesticide intoxication.

Endogenous hyperthermia was induced in rabbits by i.v. pyrogenal administration. Hemoglobin-oxygen affinity and parameters of free radical lipid oxidation in plasma and red blood cells were measured. The content of diene conjugates, malonic dialdehyde and Schiff bases were determined at a pyrogenal dose of 4 minimal pyrogenic doses/kg, and iron-initiated chemiluminescence, catalase activity and alpha-tocopherol concentration were determined at 6 minimal pyrogenic doses/kg. A rightward shift of the real oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve and activation of lipid peroxidation were observed. Relationships between the parameters measured were analyzed. Decreased hemoglobin-oxygen affinity is considered to be a possible mechanism of activation of free radicals during fever.

We observed the processes of lipid peroxidation, characterized by increased content of intermediate and its end products (diene conjugates, lipid hydroperoxides, malonic dialdehyde), in the blood of the pregnant mares. The changes of the data of indicators in the organism of the mares at the 9–11 months of pregnancy were established. The level of diene conjugates in the blood of animals was 3.6 ± 0.12 μmol/l, 33.3 and 44.0%, which was higher compared to non-pregnant mares and mares at 4th month of pregnancy. The concentration of lipid hydroperoxides in the blood of mares increased by 100% and by 42.9% in the blood of non-pregnant mares and mares at 4th month of pregnancy. The concentration of malondialdehyde in the blood of mares increased by 75.0%, 51.2% and 25.0% compared to non-pregnant mares and mares at 4th and 7th month of pregnancy, respectively. The results of our research showed that the mineral-vitamin premix Marmix had a positive influence on the state of lipid peroxidation products, contributed to their lowering in the blood of pregnant mares, which demonstrated antioxidant action and stimulated the function of the immune system. It was established that the bactericidal and lysozyme activity of the blood serum and the concentration of circulating immune complexes increases in the mares with lack of trace elements. It was shown that feeding mares during the 9–11 months of pregnancy with the mineral-vitamin premix Marmix had a positive influence on the state of humoral factors of nonspecific resistance. In particular, the concentration of bactericidal activity of serum increased by 31.0%, lysozyme activity of blood serum – 45.4% and contributed to the decrease of the concentration of circulating immune complexes in serum by 3.8 times. The use of mineral-vitamin premix Marmix during 60 days in feeding pregnant mares caused a restoration of the clinical status, a decrease in the content of lipid peroxidation products.

Due to the aim the effect of pre-sowing treatment with a nonionic colloidal solution of the mix of copper, zinc, manganese and iron nanoparticles, cadmium ions and their combined action on the physiological and biochemical indices: the content of lipid peroxidation products and balance of photosynthetic pigments in green Lolo and red Lolo Ross varieties of Lactuca sativa L. was investigated. Spectrophotometric methods of investigating the content of peroxides, thiobarbiturate-active products (with use of the modified Kumar and Knowles method), as well as the content of the main photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, b, a/b ratio, and the carotenoid content) with the Wintermans, de Mots calculations application were used. Due to the results, a decrease in the content of peroxides and growth of malonic dialdehyde was observed for most treatment variants of Lolo. The opposite tendency was observed for the Ross variety (the initial growth of these parameters under the nanoparticles influence decreased to the control during the fourteen-day exposure). The decrease of chlorophyll content was observed In the Lolo variety under the essential metal nanoparticles influence, in contrast to the action of cadmium. For the Ross variety, a significant reduction of both chlorophyll and carotenoid contents in all treatment types during exposure was calculated. The a/b-index for Lolo plants has significantly increased in variants of cadmium influence, for Ross plants the divergence of the influence of all treatment variants has been marked. As a result, the treatment with a mixture of essential nanometals showed additive stress-loading functions. It was observed in a growth of the level of lipid peroxidation products and the reduction of the photosynthetic pigment biomarkers in both varieties during the 0,1 mM cadmium exposure. The Lolo Ross variety showed a higher variability of results under different treatment, compared to the Lolo variety.

Aim. Investigation of the local and systemic levels of some pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines as well as the system of lipid peroxidation - antioxidant defense of the organism in acute ulcerative gastroduodenal hemorrhages, taking into account the severity of the blood loss. Methods. We performed the investigation of cytokines in the blood (tumor necrosis factor α, interferon γ, interleukin-1, -2, -4, -6, -8, -10) and parameters of lipoperoxidation (in plasma - diene conjugates, malonic dialdehyde, catalase; in erythrocytes - reduced glutathione, glutathione peroxidase, total antioxidant activity), interleukin-6 in gastric content and urine, diene conjugates and malonic dialdehyde in biopsy samples from the ulcer edges from patients with acute ulcerative gastroduodenal bleeding. The blood serum of 156 patients with mild (54), moderate (51) and severe (51) bleeding was studied. Interleukin-6 in gastric contents was determined in 37 patients, diene conjugates and malonic dialdehyde in biopsy samples taken from periulcerous zone - in 20 patients. Results. Patients had a statistically significant increase of serum levels of tumor necrosis factor α, interferon γ, interleukins-1, -2, -4, -6, -8, and decrease of interleukin-10 concentration in comparison with the control group. The level of interleukin-6 in gastric juice was 37.5% lower, and in urine - 8.2 times higher than the control value. In plasma and biopsy samples, the content of diene conjugates and malonic dialdehyde was statistically significantly higher, in erythrocytes the level of reduced glutathione was lower than the control value. The depth of imbalance in the system of cytokines and lipid peroxidation - antioxidant defense increased with increasing of blood loss severity. Conclusion. The relationship between cytokine production and lipid peroxidation indices is established, which confirms the role of local and systemic disorders of cytokine and antioxidant status in the occurrence of ulcer bleeding.

The purpose of the research was studying influence of the ointment containing as the operating component an Empetrum black extract on some parameters of lipid peroxidation (diene conjugates, malonic dialdehyde, catalase) at allergic contact dermatitis at rats in plasma of blood and leather. As a result of experiment on model of allergic contact dermatitis it is established, that ointment with an Empetrum extract normalizes processes of the lipid peroxidation (level malonic dialdehyde, diene conjugates and catalase did not differ from the control), that in turn, apparently, can also improve therapeutic effect (initial parameters of an integument were restored). While using the ointment with an Empetrum extract terms of recover of animals are reduced to 4—5 days in comparison with a group of incurable rats, but at the same time it concedes a little to hormonal «Akriderm SK».

Experimental modeling of myocardial infarction in rats was carried out by ligation of the anterior intergastric artery after the first division. There were 3 groups of 20 animals each: control group I — to verify normal parameters, group II — a model of myocardial infarction, and group III — animals which, after modeling myocardial infarction, underwent transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells. The level of lipid peroxidation products — diene conjugates and malondialdehyde — was studied by spectrophotometry. Comparison of the content and their ratio in the cytoplasm and mitochondria of myocardiocytes was carried out. It turned out that transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells significantly levels the activation of lipid peroxidation processes in subcellular fractions of cardiomyocytes, which is accompanied by a decrease in the primary and secondary products of oxidative stress. The ratio of malondialdehyde to diene conjugates both in the cytoplasm and in the mitochondria of cardiomyocytes after transplantation returned to control values. This indicates the normalization of physiological processes with underlying ischemic heart damage. The results indicate the cytoprotective effect of mesenchymal stem cell transplantation and the preservation of a larger number of cell pools, compared with the control group of animals that did not receive any treatment.

Objective. To study the lipid peroxidation processes and endogenous intoxication indicators in patients with widespread peritonitis before surgery and during the treatment. Materials and methods. The study included 97 patients (43 men and 54 women) aged from 17 to 69 years with purulent peritonitis. According to treatment scheme, patients were divided into two groups. Patients in group 1 received standard treatment, and in patients in group 2 standard treatment was supplemented by immunoreactions. The concentration of diene conjugates and malonic dialdehyde, reduced glutathione, catalase activity and the concentration of medium molecular weight peptides were determined in the blood of patients and almost healthy people. Results. The concentration of diene conjugates, malonic dialdehyde and medium molecular weight peptides in the blood of patients with advanced peritonitis increased significantly depending on the clinical stage of the disease, while the activity of the enzyme catalase and the concentration of reduced glutathione were decreased. Conclusions. Immunoreactions in combination with standard treatment leads to normalization of lipid peroxidation and reduction of endogenous intoxication on the 5th and 10th days of treatment.

The aim of present work was to assess the role of immunological disorders, hypoxia and lipoperoxidation in development and progression of erosive/ulcerative lesions of duodenum accompanied by chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency. We have studied a cohort of 125 patients with erosive and ulcerative lesions of duodenum associated with chronic disorders of cerebral circulation, aged from 48 to 74 years old. They underwent outpatient treatment and care at the Clinical Hospital No.5 (Saransk) over 2015-2018. A comparison group consisted of 39 patients with chronically impaired cerebral circulation, who did not show signs of erosive/ulcerative lesions of stomach and duodenum over the study period. Patients received conventional anti-ulcer therapies for 14 days. The cytokine profile, indexes of hypoxia, and serum markers of lipid peroxidation were evaluated. The study has shown an increase in the level of pro-and anti-inflammatory cytokines in cases with erosive/ ulcerative duodenal lesions associated with chronic impairment of cerebral circulation throughout the observation period, thus indicating to evolving imbalance of immunoregulatory system. The development of hypoxic changes in the blood plasma was observed, which was confirmed by increased contents of lactic and pyruvic acids, like as the hypoxia coefficient at all the observation terms. The lipid peroxidation processes were also activated in the course of evolving disorder, as judged by increased contents of diene conjugates, triene conjugates and the malonic dialdehyde levels upon admission, as well as on day 7 and 14 of observation, associated with decrease in the antioxidant potential of blood plasma, estimated by the superoxide dismutase index. A trend for a decrease in the indexes of diene conjugates, triene conjugates, malonic dialdehyde and an increased levels of superoxide dismutase was registered as late as after 30 days of observation. Hypoxia and lipid peroxidation may be viewed as predictors of chronic inflammation. Developing imbalance between pro-inflammatory, anti-inflammatory cytokines, and chronic hypoxia are of significant value for pathogenesis of erosive-ulcerative lesions of duodenum, being associated with chronic impairment of cerebral circulation. Under such conditions, oxidative stress is observed, with a shift of equilibrium towards pro-oxidants, along with exhausted potential of antioxidant defense system. In general, these disturbances determine the pathogenetic mechanisms of damage that occur in erosive and ulcerative lesions of duodenum, being associated with chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency, which have a mutually negative influence in the course of disease progression.

The article presents new scientifi c data on the ratio of erythrocyte populations in puppies' blood during postnatal oxidative stress. It was established that the number of erythrocytes in the blood of one-day-old puppies was 5.64 ± 0.12 T / l, and half of these cells belonged to the population of "mature", 40% - "young" and 10% - "old". In day-old puppies, the content of lipid peroxidation products in erythrocyte hemolysates is quite high, which indicates the development of postnatal oxidative stress. Thus, the content of diene conjugates, ketodienes and Schiff bases is respectively 1,406 ± 0,023 Conv. units, 0.676 ± 0.004 Conv. units and 0.135 ± 0.003 Conv. units. From one to fi ve days age of puppies the number of erythrocytes in the blooddecrease by 1.5 times (p<0.001), mainly due to the decrease in the number of "mature" cells (by 1.6 times; p<0.001). The intensity of peroxide oxidation in the body of puppies even a month after birth is relatively high, as indicated by the content of Schiff bases in the erythrocytes of the blood of these animals - 0.185 ± 0.002 Conv.units. The inverse correlations of the content of Schiff bases in erythrocyte hemolysate with their number in the bloodstream were found to be r = -0.83 (p<0.001). It should also be noted the direct correlation of the content of diene conjugates in the blood of puppies with the number of erythrocytes in their blood (r = 0,58 p <0,05), but the content of ketodienes and conjugated trienes is inversely related to the content of "young" erythroid cells in the puppies' blood (r = -0.57 p <0.05). Consequently, post-natal adaptation of puppies results in the replacement of fetal erythrocytes by postnatal cells, and this process is associated with the intensifi cation of peroxide oxidation and accumulation of the end products of peroxidationin the cells. This process isaccompanied by an acceleration of the process of "aging" of young forms of erythrocytes, as a result of which prerequisites for the development of anemiaare created. Key words: erythrocytes, oxidative stress, puppies, Schiff bases, ketodienes, diene conjugates.
