Background: Blood group and its relation to bleeding time (BT) and clotting time (CT) is important in conditions like epistaxis, thrombosis, and surgery. Earlier studies depicted O group having prolonged BT and CT. The aim of this study was to assess the relationship of BT and CT with ABO groups. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in the department of physiology, Gauhati medical college. The study included 154 students. Blood grouping was determined with the standard antiserum; BT and CT were estimated by the duke method and slide method, respectively. Blood group and its relation to BT, CT were analyzed by Chi-square analysis. Results: Blood group O (42.2%) was predominant in both genders followed by B (31.8%), A (21%), AB (4.5%). CT was found to be more than 6 minutes in group O (31.57%) followed by group AB (26.31%), A and B (21.05%). The difference was statistically significant (p = 0.02). BT was found to be more than 4 minutes in group O (82.35%) followed by A (11.76%), B (5.88%), and AB (0%). That was statistically significant (p = 0.01). CT was more than 6 minutes in 57.89% in females as compared to 42.10% in males, variation was statistically significant (p = 0.01). BT was more than 4 minutes in 58.82% females as compared to 41.17% in males. The variation was statistically significant (p = 0.03).Conclusions: In present study blood group O was more common followed by B, A, and AB. CT and BT were prolonged in O group. BT and CT were more in females than males.

Objective: This study aim to determine the relationship between teeth color value and skin color value of the Makassar tribe.Material and Methods: This observational analytic research employs cross-sectional study and purposive sampling methods, with 73 samples; held in May 2012 in Bontoramba, Jeneponto district, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It uses the Vita-Lumina shade guide for teeth color tests and Garnier FD344110.122.007 for skin color tests. Results: The results show that the distribution of teeth colour value in respondents is mostly in the highest values (A1, B1, A2, B2 color) which were 71.2%, while the skin value is mostly in a dark skin color (78.1%). Data was analyzed by the chi-square test. It was found that teeth color value was not related to skin color value in the Makassar tribe (p>0.05).Conclusion: Skin color value was not an indicator in determining the teeth color in the Makassar tribe.

Background: Blood group of an individual is commonly determined by ABO & Rh status. The objectives of the study were to determine the frequency of ABO, Rh and ABO-Rh blood groups in students of Gomal Medical College, D.I.Khan, Pakistan. Materials & Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in the Department of Community Medicine, Gomal Medical College, D.I.Khan, Pakistan from April 1 to May 23, 2019. The population being accessible was taken as sample. Sample size was 452. Our research variables (attributes) were ABO (A, B, AB, O), Rh (positive and negative) and ABO-Rh (A+, B+, AB+ O+, A-, B-, AB-, O-) respectively. All variables being nominal were described by count and percentage. The estimated parameters were given as confidence interval for proportion at 95% confidence level. The observed frequency of ABO, Rh and ABO-Rh blood groups was tested against their expected frequency using chi-square goodness of fit test. Results: Out of 452 students, the frequency of ABO blood group was; A 127 (28.12%), B 165 (36.53%), AB 57 (12.62%) & O 103 (22.73%); Rh blood group was; Rh+ 408 (90.33%) & Rh- 44 (9.67%) and ABO-Rh was; A+ 116 (25.60%), B+ 148 (32.05%), AB+ 50 (11.30%), O+ 91 (20.10%), A- 11 (2.40%), B- 17 (03.70%), AB- 7 (1.50%) & O- 12 (2.60%). The observed frequency of ABO & ABO-Rh blood groups was significantly different whereas of Rh blood group was similar to expected prevalence. Conclusion: In our population, most common blood group was B+ and the least common was AB-. The observed frequency of ABO & ABO-Rh blood groups was different while of Rh was same as expected. Awareness of blood groups in populations will help in the effective management of blood banks record in routine as well as during blood related life emergency situations.

Obesity is an increase in total body fat, that is if found to be overweight > 20% in men and 25% in women due to fat. Increased obesity cannot beseparated from lifestyle, such as decreased physical activity.    One complication   that   can   be   caused   by   obesity   is   hearing   loss, especiallysensorineural hearing loss caused by microangiopathic abnormalities, especially in the inner ear. But the relationship of events between obesity withhearing loss is still often a debate, because there is no definite consensus. The purpose of this research determine the relationship of obesity with sensorineural hearing loss. This research is an analytic study by obtaining cross-sectional study, with data obtained from the assessment of bodyweight and height to see the status of the mass index, physical examination of the ear, and audiometric examination. Data analysis techniques using the chi square test statistics. Research result obtained relationship between obesity with sensorineural hearing loss as much as 49.09% and the highest degree of hearing loss is mild degrees as much as 27.07%. Research conclusions there is a significant relationship between obesity with sensorineural hearing loss. Hypertension is a condition when blood pressure increases chronically. Ministry of Health (2007) states, mortality due to hypertension ranks second of total deaths from non-communicable diseases (12.3%). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in polyclinic disease in RSUD Dr. Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi. This study used descriptive analytic method with cross sectional study approach with 100 respondents and using correlation dynamics technique, research instrument is questionnaire by using chi-square statistic test. The result of the study (46%) had age 35-55 years old (51%) had bad diet, (51%) had high stress and 51% respondents consumed cigarettes. The result of statistic test was found on the association of age factor with the incidence of hypertension p-value 0.031, on the association of dietary factors with the incidence of hypertension obtained p-value 0.083, on the relationship of stress factor with hypertension occurrence obtained p-value 0.050 and on the relationship of smoking factor to the incidence Hypertension was obtained p-value 0.204, so it can be concluded from the four factors, only the age factor and stress factors that are related to the incidence of hypertension. It is expected that the health service can conduct an extension activity about hypertension which will be used as routine hospital program in improving health degree
