Palavras-chave: Extroversão, Introversão, Personalidade, Educação a Distância. The Relation of Interactive Educational tasks with the Personality Traits of Teachers Working with Distance EducationAbstract The knowledge of individual characteristics is very important in the teaching process. Through academia, professional disciplines seek – whenever possible – to base their actions on theory rather than fact and historical practices. This serves to improve certainty and place curricula, research, and practice on the best footing in terms of knowledge and quality. This emphasis extends to the workplaces in which professionalised disciplines are learned and practised. In healthcare, great importance is placed upon evidence-based findings to support clinical practice. Although subject to ongoing debate, the quality of research is assessed against a yardstick that culminates in a ‘gold-standard’ of clinical trials and systematic reviews. What healthcare professionals do, should, whenever possible, be based upon evidence, not ritualised practices and missives, such as “I was trained this way” and “This is how we do things here”.How to cite this article: Jones P. Professions aimed at helping and supporting a person in a difficult situation, with their traditions and principles of assisting activities, have existed since ancient times. The main purpose of the helping professions is to improve the quality of life of the person who sought help and to activate his inner potential. The importance of existential problems and their solution in the way of the professions plays a special role, since only a harmonious person who has reached agreement with himself and the outside world can fully open up in the profession. Despite the individual specifics of each profession; regardless of the direction of his work, the helper must have not only a certain set of personal qualities and a proper level of professional knowledge, but also an understanding, awareness and acceptance of the level of responsibility that he bears for what is happening in the work process. The study describes the relationship of future aid specialists to existential problems, professional responsibility and future profession.

PurposeIn addition to instrumental assumptions, behavioural researchers suggest the study of individual traits such as personal innovativeness (PI), users’ satisfaction and other theoretical beliefs for example quality and general usage patterns as the latent determinants of early and post-adoptions of technological innovations. In the context of Higher Education Commission digital library of Pakistan, the purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship of PI, quality of digital resources and generic usability of digital libraries (DL) with users’ satisfaction.Design/methodology/approachTo guide the conceptual model of this study, five hypothesized relationships were formulated. Adopting a quantitative approach, snowball sampling techniques were used. A total of 464 users of DL enrolled in different programs of study in the universities of Pakistan participated and responded to the survey. For data analyses, partial least squares, a method in the structural equation modeling was used.FindingsAnalyses reveal positive and strong relationships of PI, quality of digital resources and generic usability of DL with users’ satisfaction. Thus, the findings of this study established personal traits as the significant determinants of intention to adopt DL.Research limitations/implicationsThe decision of effective adoption is manipulated by the extent of users’ willing (PI), level of satisfaction, the image of quality and users’ past experience with the use of related innovations. Thus, librarians in addition to the system features should also focus on individual characteristics and quality of resources that probably influence adequate adoption of DL.Originality/valueIn the Pakistani context, this study is the first attempt that examined the relationship of PI, the usability of DL and quality of digital resources with users’ satisfaction. Research model of this study can be used in future research. Also, this study extended the scope of theories of adoption towards DL.

This article reviews and summarizes two decades of empirical literature concerned with both direct and moderating variable-based analyses of the relationship of organizational stress with job satisfaction and job performance. Moderating influences of various constructs operationalized at the individual, group and organizational level of analysis are classified and then reviewed systematically. An evaluative summary of this research suggests that although there have been significant improvements in the analytical methods employed to investigate such phenomena, much of this research still does not consider the role of reciprocal relationships that evolve over time. We provide four guidelines for improving the quality of both theoretical rigor and methodological robustness in this important area of organizational inquiry.

Introduction: Patients with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) cannot survive if they do not do hemodialysis. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the experience, the hope of patients with CRF who undergo hemodialysis in order to continue hemodialysis routinely and can improve the quality of their lives even though their lives depend on hemodialysis. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of life of patients with CRF in undergoing hemodialysis as an effort to improve the quality of life. Methods: This study was a quantitave study using analytic descriptive approach. There were 66 patients as sample. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic using World Health Organization Quality of Life Instruments (WHOQoL-Bref) as a quality of life questionnare. Results: This study shows the highest quality of life of research respondents undergoing hemodialysis in the high category (68.2%). This means the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis is good enough. Conclusions: A good quality of life means that the respondent feels satisfied and most of his daily needs can be met, which includes physical, psychological, patient social relations, and the patient's environment. Quality of life is influenced by the physical condition of the individual psychologically, the level of independence, and the relationship of the individual with the environment. Nurses are expected to be able to motivate patients undergoing hemodialysis in improving their quality of life.

In attacking the problem of the relationship of endocrine function to the schizophrenias and other mental diseases, we have avoided the elementary conception that certain hormones are responsible for special psychological traits and have reached the following conclusions. First, the quality of the mental disturbance depends mainly on a genetically conditioned personality pattern, various individuals reacting in different ways to the precipitating causes. Second, the hormones come into the whole picture only in so far as the hormone equilibrium of the body determines how far the individual can adjust himself to the increased demands arising out of the occurrence of various precipitating causes (Reiss, 1955). It is therefore understandable that very many, or even the majority of people suffering from severe endocrine disturbance, need not necessarily show any psychopathological changes, since their personality pattern is not so conditioned and no increased demands for adjustment are made by the occurrence of precipitating causes. On the other hand, it is equally understandable that certain disturbances in hormone production and equilibrium, even when clinically obscure, can be decisive for mental breakdown in individuals with the appropriate personality pattern, at the occurrence of precipitating causes.

The results of an empirical study of the relationship between citizenship and trust on a sample of students from three universities (N = 252) are presented in the article. A trusting relationship is based on goodwill, honesty and on the desire to understand, accept another person with all his individual characteristics. The civic position in the work is considered as the social civic activity of the individual, proceeding under the influence of the socio-cultural environment. This is a moral position that encourages a person to feel like a part of civil society, expressed in the presence of a person’s system of socially significant moral guidelines that determine his sense of duty and responsibility to society, his willingness to actively defend his rights and interests and therefore act for the benefit of the people, society. The concepts of “adoption of standards” and “civic identity” are revealed. Diagnostics, in the presented study, was carried out using the Questionnaire of Confidence Relationships, the Questionnaire of Civil Identity (two scales: attitude to the norms of civil society, active civic position); projective methodology “Civic identity” (the methodology studies the significant values of civil society on seven scales). It was found that the educational and regional characteristics of the studied groups of students have an impact on the level of trust and civic characteristics of Russian student youth.
