The article is aimed at developing strategic directions and introducing regulatory measures for the formation of Ukraine’s energy policy on the principles of energy saving and the development of renewable energy industry. On the basis of scientific works, the main organizational-economic vectors of energy industry sector development are systematized, which are associated with the formation of a favorable socio-political climate regarding the priority of using renewable energy sources in the fuel and energy complex; development of effective methods of both the State-based and the market-based regulation by the world community; coordination of the strategy of sustainable development of the world economy. It is determined that the energy saving policy should be based on a flexible combination of the State-based regulation and the market environment for the formation of the most acceptable stimulation mechanisms in the specific economic and political situations, which allows for the greatest economic benefit. It has been found out that the implementation of energy saving processes is impossible without the mass use of renewable energy carriers, which are a universal resource for processing to the right types of energy, are marked by energy independence related to obtaining economic benefits and contribute to the creation of an ecological friendly environment. In the perspective, the energy saving processes, the transition of the national economy to wide implementation in the production of high-tech technologies and the use of renewable energy sources should become the determining factors of Ukraine’s energy strategy.

Energy conservation issues are acute in the world. Compressed air is widely used in the modern industrial production. The production of compressed air is a very energy-intensive process, since most of the energy, which is expended by the compressor, passes into the energy of heating. Compressed air cannot be used in modern production without a prior drying and cleaning. Industrial dryer’s air losses is up to 20% of compressed air additionally. Therefore, the issue of saving air during its drying stage is important. In the presented article, the thermal and aerodynamic processes that occur in the classical adsorption tower with the most modern design are considered. The processes that occur in the adsorption column with the microwave regeneration of the adsorbent are also considered. A comparative analysis of these constructions from the point of view of energy saving is made.

The article is aimed at carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the world energy market, identifying the main problems of its functioning, and substantiating possible ways to solve them. The research considered the structure of the world energy market, provided a description of its main components. The essence of the energy problem is analyzed, the main causes of its occurrence are defined. It is found that the energy problem occupies a significant place among such global problems of humanity as the threat of nuclear war, epidemic, ecological crisis, demographic problems, international terrorism, etc. A dynamic analysis of the use of traditional energy in the world is carried out. It is determined that due to the limited global reserves of natural gas and oil, in the near future it will be impossible to meet the growing demand of humanity for energy resources. The rating of countries that are trying to actively develop green energy at the State level is presented. The main methods of energy saving of leading countries of the world are highlighted. An analysis of the scale of investment in energy efficiency and energy saving of the leading world countries is carried out. It is determined that China is the leader in investments in green energy. During the research, the essence of the concept of «energy security» is disclosed and its main priorities in the application by different countries are specified. The most important aspects of international energy security are defined. The tendencies of further development of the world energy market are highlighted and the main ways of solving energy problems are proposed.

Energy consumption in Saudi Arabia is still almost three times the world average today, and the government is seeking to instill a culture of energy saving in the rising generation. Our research's main objective is to expose young people's explanatory attitude antecedents towards energy saving. Indeed, with reference to the current global context of dwindling resources, it is relevant to identify the levers of action to guide consumers towards socially responsible behavior. A quantitative study among 217 young Saudi Arabians and modeling structural equations highlighted the significant impact of subjective norms, cognitions resulting from awareness campaigns as well as the power of habits and the need to preserve comfort. This research has important implications for a country orienting its strategies towards greater social responsibility.

As the most energy-saving hybrid system in the world, the full hybrid system has high research value. On the basis of the mechanical structural analysis of one new full hybrid system, studied its control strategy and analyzed the control algorithm for its power balance in the five working modes by means of simulated equivalent lever. It is hoped that this could provide technical support for the development of domestic full hybrid cars.

Energy saving has drawn more and more attention of the world due to the pressure of the environment and society. Metallurgy is one of the biggest energy consumption industries, accounting for about 16% of the total industry, basically the same ratio as the emission of CO2 and other pollutants. About 70% of total energy for steel production is consumed in iron-making process with the same ratio of CO2 discharged, so it has a great significance to achieve energy saving and low CO2 emission in iron-making process. The new iron-making technologies with energy saving and low CO2 emission such as oxygen blast furnace, ITmk3, application of waste plastics and biomass in iron-making, were introduced in the present work. Particularly, the latest research progress, merit and demerit were compared, and the contribution of the different technologies to low CO2 emission and the energy saving were analyzed.

High-efficiency, energy-saving and environment-protection have become the current consensus of the world. The basic requirement of energy-saving for domestic appliances and electronic products has been accomplished to reduce the power on standby. The key point of energy-saving is to decrease the loss damaged in the switch. Boost converter (DC/DC) is a lower-loss, higher-efficiency module with the 90% conversion rate.
