Sea and air passenger transportation offer significant potential with regards to the support the mobility/movement of people and passengers in all corners of the country, each of which has different characters in terms of the number of transportation, travel time, tariff and service level. Discussing services, in assisting the smooth process of sea and air transportation, passenger service staff (stewardesses and stewards) are needed. The purpose of this study is to identify and evaluate the importance of these passenger service staff in sea transportation and air transportation. Keywords: Importance, Stewardess, Sea Transport

The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia has chosen Morotai Island Regency as one of ten prioritized tourism destinations. This policy requires tourism supporting elements including an adequate transportation system. This research aims to identify the supporting capacity of the local transportation modes from which the strategies of tourism development derived from. A qualitative methodology is applied by using naturalistic and interpretative approaches to investigate the capacity of transportation modes in Morotai Island. Interviews with the local tourism agency officials and the local transportation service providers are completed for collecting relevant data and information. The research reveals that the existing transportation modes can support tourism development in Morotai. However, there are some attempts required to support tourism based transportation system: strengthening the synergetic relations between the local government and the air transportation service providers for increasing flight schedule for tourists; providing creative local based transportation modes to support better tourism development; and providing accurate information about sea transportation service to support Morotai as the prioritized tourism destination.

The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of freight mode choices made by shippers and carriers with the introduction of a new freight transport system. We set an area in which actual freight transport takes place as the analysis scope and performed a survey of the shippers and carriers that transport containers to identify their stated preference (SP) regarding the new freight mode. The SP survey was carried out through an experimental design and this study considered the three factors of transport time, transport cost, and service level. This study compared and analyzed the models by distance using an individual behavior model. The results of estimating the model showed that the explanatory power of the model classified by distance and the individual parameters have statistical significance. The hit ratio was also high, which confirms that the model was estimated properly. In addition, the range of elasticity and the value of travel time analyzed using the model were evaluated to be appropriate compared to previous studies. The findings of the elasticity analysis show that strategies for reducing the transport cost are effective to increase the demand for the new transport mode. The value of travel time of freight transport was found to be higher than the current value generally applied in Korea. Considering that the value of travel time currently used is based on road freight transport, further research is required to apply a new value of travel time that reflects the characteristics of the new transport mode in the future.

The modern market has specific achievements as well as modern infrastructure. One of them is to build a smart port, environmentally friendly, and digitalization. Digitalization is part of industry 4.0, and both of them become a threat, but give opportunities to change the business and make a business model make a change. The international market has grown speedily sea transportation to become an important part on delivery goods from other countries. Sustainability sea transportation is done by providing easy access, affordability, safety, economist, reliability, infrastructure with the concept of environmentally friendly and friendly transportation service. Nowadays the maritime logistics is to become attention for stakeholders in the logistic sector. The evolution of maritime logistics is as a new discipline has produced greater change, from increasing ping ship, increasing customer request, the changing of a support role on supply chain, and logistic. The delivery with environmentally-friendly lead to use resources and energy to transport the people and good with a ship and special attention on decreasing resources and energy to preserving global environment and environmental pollutants resulted by ship.

Sea transportation has an important role in the development of the community because the flow of goods and the traffic of people (passengers) by sea can run smoothly. With the smooth traffic of goods and passengers, this certainly makes it easier for people to meet their needs. Sea transportation activities are inseparable from the risk of unexpected events, one of which is ship accident. Based on this background the authors are interested in conducting research with the title "Responsibility of Carrier Against the Owner of Goods Due to Accidents in Sea Transportation, formulation of the problem: 1. How is the responsibility of the carrier to the owner of goods in the event of damage to goods due to accidents in sea transportation?, 2. How Compensation for compensation if there is a loss in transporting goods by sea? In this paper the research method used is a normative juridical approach, descriptive analytical research specifications, the main data source uses secondary data, the data analysis method uses qualitative methods. Research and discussion results are as follows: 1. Maintain the safety of the goods transported from the time of receipt until the time of delivery and has become the responsibility of the carrier if the goods are wholly or partly unable to be delivered or damaged The transporter is obliged to compensate for the loss of the goods being transported 2. If an accident occurs in sea transport recipient of goods does not receive the goods as stated in the agreement of the consensus of the recipient is obliged to make a claim letter to the shipping company within the specified time by explaining the loss suffered.

The construction of the TOD apartment at the Pondok Cina Station will have an impact on the level of service at the venue. This has a positive impact because there is an increase in KRL users, but it also has the potential to cause problems due to the increased volume. This study aims to analyze the impact of TOD station Pondok Cina apartment development on station service level in 2022 condition and find the best solution to improve service level. The station model is created using PTV VISWALK 10. Validation testing is needed to determine the model is acceptable or not by comparing the model results and actual conditions in the field. Analysis of service level using HCM as a reference. There are several models performed, such as the condition of existing year 2018, condition year 2022 without apartment, condition 2022 with apartment, and alternative condition. Alternative conditions of total change in Pondok Cina station. After the simulation, see the performance of all models based on service level and travel time. The result show given the influence of the apartment, if nothing is done then the level of service worsens from LOS B to LOS E while travel time increases drastically from 78 seconds to 429 seconds by 2022.

Managing expectations is vital to ensuring commuter satisfaction with their public transportation service. When customers are given an estimated time for their bus and must wait way longer, they lose a sense of control over their commute and become frustrated. In this paper, we present a novel machine learning (ML) modeling approach in which we train and implement specialized models for every single segment of travel time and stop dwell time in our system to capture its uniqueness. The features for training the models include simple calendar and weather data. Most papers assume ideal operational conditions but in practice that’s almost never the case. Here, we combine our ML modeling approach with a flexible production-tested algorithm to combine model-generated dwell and travel time (or run time) predictions to produce predicted bus departure times. This algorithm is designed to handle real transit agency challenges like missing models (including those caused by changes to schedules and routes), timing points, and partially traveled segments. We also provide a reference architecture of how this algorithm can be brought to life in a scalable and cost-effective manner.

The mode of transportation that travels from Kupang City to Rote Ndao Regency is currently a mode of sea transportation and air transportation. This study aims to find out user information based on its mode choices and model it in the multinomial log function, besides that it's hoped that this result can be used as a reference in determining policies that improve functions and facilities for mobilizing people, goods and services carried out on the Kupang to Rote.Data analysis was carried out in two ways, namely with descriptive statistical analysis techniques to explain the characteristics of respondents and multinomial logistic regression analysis to create a model of mode transportation selection for Kupang-Rote service. The results of the study showed that users of transportation services from Kupang to Rote, generally men prefer to use ferry boats while women prefer to use fast boats. The characteristics of respondents is age 20-39 years. While the factors that influence the choice of transportation are the influence of luggage, weather and comfort. For the selection model, the probability of a speedboat is 34.65%,the probability of choosing a ferry is 42.96%, and the probability of choosing an aircraft is 22.3%.
