A bling legend: inclusive sonority in the processo f na audiogameAbstractFrom the notions of Game Sound and Sound Topology, we analyzed the sound of the French accessible game A Blind Legend which is a mobile audiogame of the adventure genre. Discussing the concepts of reactive interactive audio and adaptative interactive audio we will observe how each of the three inclusive sound techniques applied in this type of game – Audio Quake, Serialization and Audio Icons/Audio Cues – behave within of the narrative consumed through binaural audio. The proposal is to comprehend how the sonority is developed in a 100% sound electronic game from of the optical of the immersion and inclusion. Rather, a brief historical review of the role of the sound in electronic games is made. Keywords: Audiogame; game audio; a blind legend; inclusive audio.

Nearly 50 years after it was thought to be conquered, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) continues to cause vision disturbances and blindness among prematurely born infants. During the 1940s and early 1950s, researchers and caregivers first identified and struggled to eliminate this problem, which seemed to come from nowhere and was concentrated among the most advanced premature nurseries in the U.S. Research studies initially identified many potential causes, none of which could be proved conclusively. By the mid-1950s, oxygen was identified as the culprit, and its use was immediately restricted. The rate of blindness among premature infants decreased significantly. ROP was not cured, however. By the 1960s, it had reappeared. The history of ROP serves to remind us that, despite our best intentions, the care and treatment of premature newborns will always carry with it the possibility of iatrogenic disease. This caution is worth remembering as we work to expand the quality and quantity of clinical research.

The Greek civilization is one of the basic elements of the so-called civilization conflict in ancient times, and history has preserved the echo of that conflict, but historians have been limited to describing and evaluating the conflict without focusing on the role of money in managing the movement of the conflict, which had an influential nature in the politics of Greece in general , especially after Macedonia entered the line of conflict and took control of the city of Krindes at the foot of Mount Pangios, which is distinguished by its richness of gold, as it made it richer than the rest of the Greek states,Philip took out from it thousands of gold every year, which enabled him to bribe the opposition politicians, and this is where the researchs' importance is marked with the emergence of money in the Greek countries and its impact on life back then. Based on this importance, the reason for choosing this particular topic is of the axes of the historical review conference - Ancient history- as the study aims to find similarities and differences between the money spread in that period since this topic was studied according to the historical method.

Decitabine (5-aza-2p-deoxycytidine) is a hypomethylation agent with a double-action mechanism, these are the reactivation of silenced genes; exhibiting differentiation at low doses and showing cytotoxicity at high doses. Decitabine was used as a classic anticancer drug in the original studies in the 1980s, 1500 to 2500 mg/m2 per cycle was the maximum clinically tolerated dose. The dosage was reassessed after a better understanding of epigenetics in cancer and the role of decitabine in epigenetic (hypomethylation) therapy was obtained, in about 1/20th of the previous doses (i.e., 'optimal biological' doses modulating hypomethylation). It has been found that decitabine (100 to 150 mg / m2 per cycle) can be used in patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and other myeloid tumors, with manageable side effects. Combination therapies which amplify the epigenetic effect of decitabine will most likely improve the patient responses and allow it to be used in the treatment of other malignancies.

Madeleine Pape’s critical essay puts the issue of gender eligibility regulations in Olympic sports in historical perspective and examines the scientific debates around gender verification pointing to its formation and continued grounding in the racialized colonial gaze. A historical review of the field of athletics illuminates the deeply subjective nature of the production of scientific knowledge and its application in the verification of gender. Further, discriminatory role of sport governing bodies in perpetuating masculinist and racialized ideologies in insisting on scrutiny in the participation of women, inspection of their ‘unfeminine’ bodies, to invasive gender tests of ‘suspicious’ cases, continues unabated, especially of the global South.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive historical review of the role of the Federal Reserve in retail payments in the USA. Design/methodology/approach It reviews the literature on the role of the Federal Reserve and assessments of its involvement. Findings In addition to its oversight and operational role, the Federal Reserve has conducted R&D and facilitated technology adoption. It has provided effective competition to the private sector without subsidies. Research limitations/implications The Federal Reserve has served the public interest and private networks have benefited from the “visible hand” of government. Practical implications Migration to electronic payments will likely change its role from an operator to setting standards for safety and security. Originality/value The historical review provides context against which the future strategy of the Federal Reserve may be assessed.

Abstract Immunotherapy has changed the landscape of cancer treatment and has significantly improved the outcome of several cancer types including breast, lung, colorectal and prostate. Neoantigen recognition and immune checkpoint inhibitors are nowadays the milestones of different immunotherapeutic regimes; however, high cost, primary and acquired resistance and the high variability of responses make their extensive use difficult. The development of better predictive biomarkers that represent tumour diversity shows promise because there is a significant body of clinical data showing a spectrum of immunotherapeutic responses that might be related back to their specific characteristics. This article makes a conceptual and historical review to summarise the main advances in our understanding of the role of the immune system in cancer, while describing the methodological details that have been successfully implemented on cancer treatments and that may hold the key to improved therapeutic approaches.

Purpose This paper aims to highlight the crucial role of individual people, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in the development of a tourist destination during its life cycle. The purpose is to increase our understanding of individual actors as contributors to leadership and development of tourism destinations. Design/methodology/approach An intrinsic case study of a Finnish ski resort, Ruka, is presented. The primary data consist of 16 narrative interviews. Secondary sources of information such as a history book and a historical review, reports and Web pages have been used as well. Findings The study suggests that the leadership in a destination is attributed to individuals. It is the charismatic entrepreneurs, business managers, municipality and influential politicians that may take control of the leadership at the destination. Being local enhances the sense of identity with the place and facilitates a cooperative atmosphere between actors. Finally, the roles of stakeholders and aspects of the leadership of a destination may vary along the destination life cycle. Research limitations/implications As this paper presents a single case study in a Finnish context, the findings cannot be, and are not meant to be, generalized. Rather, the findings present an example of an exception to the mainstream destination management and governance literature. Originality/value The paper fills the research gap noted by Kennedy (2014) and presents an in-depth study analysing the role of different stakeholders in destination leadership.

The notion of case has been a controversial one, yet the grammatical terminology has survived right from traditional Grammar to the current grammatical theories. This paper critically examines the notion of case within different grammatical frameworks. Our interest is mainly on the role of syntax and semantics in case determination and the level of grammatical analysis (deep or surface) at which case is assigned. The paper looks at the notion of case as conceived in traditional grammar and the explores how the concept has been adapted to antecedent grammatical theories up to the Principles and parameters theory. The paper concludes that in all the grammatical models, Case has both syntactic and semantic relevance.

Recently, many electronic games that simulate practical reality in the form of a virtual world, accompanied by loud sounds, various shapes, color pictures, tools and auxiliary techniques, which include in its steps and stages, encourage players to commit crime in a professional manner, and the ability to actually carrying out the crime, or escaping from falling into the reach of the law, is an indication and a sign of victory in the stages of those games, and it does not move from one stage to another until after the crime is completed. The current study aimed to identify the reality of the practice of House of Social Welfare inmates for electronic games, and whether there was a role for electronic games in committing crimes among the study sample, where a sample of 54 inmates of House of Social Welfare in Dammam was selected, in which a personal interview was conducted with the study sample, and the study used the descriptive method. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: a positive relationship between playing electronic games and drinking smoke and drugs, and that some electronic games help to stir up sexual instincts, post pictures and disruptive clips, personal speculations and chases with the police, and some electronic games help teach theft, stabbing and drifting cars. The study made a number of recommendations, the most important of which is the need for parents to follow up on their children's games, and the need to tighten control of places for selling electronic games, follow them on the Internet, and raise awareness against their risks.
