Fuzzy Tahani is one of the developments of fuzzy logic applications. This study will explain the fuzzy Tahani procedure using representative membership functions of triangular and trapezoidal curves with fuzzification steps, determining fuzzy domains, membership functions and degrees, compiling criteria, determining fire strength values, and determining recommendation results. The fuzzy Tahani method uses the AND operation so as to produce a minimum fire strength value that affects the recommendation results. Then the research variables used are price, dimensions, weight, battery capacity, and screen display variables. For the triangular curve there are 3 fuzzy sets, namely small, medium, and large, while the trapezoidal curve consists of 4 fuzzy sets, namely small, medium, large, and very large. The data used in this study is secondary smartphone data, branded Oppo, Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, and Asus. From the results of smartphone data analysis according to the Fuzzy Tahani method used, these variables are processed by entering the rules, amounting to 243 for triangular curves and 1,024 for trapezoidal curves and then processed using AND operation and the conclusion is that triangular curves are better than trapezoidal curves. in recommending the purchase of a smartphone

There are a lot of approaches in logistics demand forecasting field and perform different characters. The probabilistic fuzzy set (PFS) and probabilistic fuzzy logic system is designed for handling the uncertainties in both stochastic and nonstochastic nature. In this paper, an asymmetric probabilistic fuzzy set is proposed by randomly varying the width of asymmetric Gaussian membership function. And the related PFLS is constructed to be applied to a logistics demand forecasting. The performance discloses that the asymmetry-width probabilistic fuzzy set performs better than precious symmetric one. It is because the asymmetric probabilistic fuzzy sets variability and malleability is higher than this of the symmetric probabilistic fuzzy set.

The paper developed a methodical approach to the evaluation and selection of strategic alternatives to businesses based on their prioritization using the tools of fuzzy multi-criteria analysis and fuzzy logic. This approach is based on the use of fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) with a certain term, set for paired comparisons variants and corresponding triangular fuzzy numbers. Evaluation criteria are considered as fuzzy sets defined on universal sets of options (strategic alternatives) using membership functions. Membership functions of fuzzy sets are defined based on expert information on the pairwise comparisons of alternatives using the fuzzy Saaty scale. To ensure the consistency of expert estimates, it is proposed to use the Fuzzy Delphi method. To determine the importance of the evaluation criteria and to calculate fuzzy values priority strategic alternatives for these criteria using the procedure Fuzzy AHP method. The resulting weights of criteria are considered as an appropriate degree of concentration membership functions. The calculation of the integral value of the priority level of strategic alternatives is carried out based on the Bellman-Zade scheme known in the theory of decision-making. For practical implementation of the methodological approach in the Matlab computer system (Fuzzy Logic Toolbox package), a framework is developed, which contains four main blocks: a block of input of expert information on the relative superiority of criteria in pairwise comparison and strategic alternatives to these criteria, a block of calculating weights, criteria a block for calculating fuzzy values of the priority of strategic alternatives according to these criteria and a block for finding the intersection of the obtained fuzzy sets according to the Bellman-Zade scheme. Defuzzification of the obtained fuzzy values is carried out based on the CoA method (Center of Area method). This framework allows you to perform simulations depending on the input data obtained from experts. The developed methodological approach allows the top management of the enterprise to determine the priority of the developed strategies in the presence of only qualitative information on the relative superiority of evaluation criteria and strategic alternatives and expands the possibilities of classical methods of strategic choice.

The purpose of this chapter is to present the key properties of fuzzy logic and adaptive nets and demonstrate how to use these, separately and in combination, to design intelligent systems. The first section introduces the concept of fuzzy sets and their basic operations. The t and s norms are used to define a variety of possible intersections and unions. The next section shows two ways to estimate membership functions, polling experts, and using data to optimize parameters. Section three shows how any function can be extended to arguments that are fuzzy sets. Section four introduces fuzzy relations, fuzzy reasoning, and shows the first steps to be taken to design an intelligent system. The Mamdami model is defined in this section. Reinforcement-driven agents are discussed in section five. Sections six and seven establish the basic properties of adaptive nets and use these to define the Sugeno model. Finally, the last section discusses neuro-fuzzy systems in general. The solution to the inverted pendulum problem is given by use of fuzzy systems and also by the use of adaptive nets. The ANFIS and CANFIS architectures are defined.

This paper aims to study for accurate sheet trim shower position for paper making process. An accurate position is required in an automation system. A mathematical model of DC motor is used to obtain a transfer function between shaft position and applied voltage. PID controller with Ziegler-Nichols and Hang-tuning rule and Fuzzy logic controller for controlling position accuracy are required. The result reference explains it that the FLC is better than other methods and performance characteristics also improve the control of DC motor.

Recently, there are so many soft computing methods been used in time series analysis. One of these methods is fuzzy logic system. In this paper, we will try to implement fuzzy logic system to predict a non-stationary time series data. The data we use here is Mackey-Glass chaotic time series. We also use MATLAB software to predict the time series data, which have been divided into four groups of input-output pairs. These groups then will be used as the input variables of the fuzzy logic system. There are two scenarios been used in this paper, first is by using seven fuzzy sets, and second is by using fifteen fuzzy sets. The result shows that the fuzzy system with fifteen fuzzy sets give a better forecasting result than the fuzzy system with seven fuzzy sets. Index Terms—forecasting, fuzzy logic, Mackey-Glass chaotic, MATLAB, time series analysis

An essential topic of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets(IVIFSs) is distance measures. In this paper, we introduce a new kind of distance measures on IVIFSs. The novelty of our method lies in that we consider the width of intervals so that the uncertainty of outputs is strongly associated with the uncertainty of inputs. In addition, better than the distance measures given by predecessors, we define a new quaternary function on IVIFSs to construct the above-mentioned distance measures, which called interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy dissimilarity function. Two specific methods for building the quaternary functions are proposed. Moreover, we also analyzed the degradation of the distance measures in this paper, and show that our measures can perfectly cover the measures on a simpler set. Finally, we provide illustrative examples in pattern recognition and medical diagnosis problems to confirm the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed distance measures.

In recent years, fuzzy identification based on system identification theory has become a hot academic topic. Interval type-2 fuzzy logic systems (IT2 FLSs) have become a rising technology. This paper designs a type of Nagar-Bardini (NB) structure-based singleton IT2 FLSs for fuzzy identification problems. The antecedents of primary membership functions of IT2 FLSs are chosen as Gaussian type-2 primary membership functions with uncertain standard deviations. Then, the back propagation algorithms are used to tune the parameters of IT2 FLSs according to the chain rule of derivation. Compared with the type-1 fuzzy logic systems, simulation studies show that the proposed IT2 FLSs can obtain better abilities of generalization for fuzzy identification problems.
