The present work is an analysis with comments of the model created by Dr. Roberto Kertész. The organization is a complex social reality that is defined as a set of people, a deliberate internal structure and a common goal. This is achieved through processes of transformation of certain "inputs" to the system - organization, obtained from the context or environment. The P.A.L.T is a systemic model, in which the organization has the opportunity to regulate its activity. The levels of the efficiency of the organizational performance will obviously depend on the quality of these interactions and the study of the nature of them will allow the management to achieve a set of more valuable results. In order to systematize this set of knowledge, it is convenient to group its components in a model that is both analytical and integral. The PALT model stands for this objective, which means the systemic integration of the Psychological, Administrative, Legal and Technical variables.

Free-cutting steel gains specific working properties thanks to the high content of sulfur and phosphorus. These elements, especially sulfur, have a rather high tendency to segregation. Therefore, segregation defects in free-cutting steel continuously cast billets can be significantly developed. The aim of the work was to study the influence of the chemical composition of freecutting steel and casting technological parameters on the quality of the macrostructure of continuously cast billets. A metallographic assessment of the internal structure of cast metal made of free-cutting steel and data processing by application of correlation and regression analysis were the research methods. The array of production data of 43 heats of free-cutting steel of grade A12 was studied. Steel casting on a five-strand radial type continuous casting machine was carried out by various methods of metal pouring from tundish into the molds. Metal of 19 heats was poured with an open stream, and 24 heats – by a closed stream through submerged nozzles with a vertical hole. High-quality billets had a cross-sectional size of 150×150 mm. The macrostructure of high-quality square billets made of free-cutting steel of A12 grade is characterized by the presence of central porosity, axial segregation and peripheral point contamination, the degree of development of which was in the range from 1.5 to 2.0 points, segregation cracks and strips – about 1.0 points. In the course of casting with an open stream, almost all of these defects are more developed comparing with the casting by a closed stream. As a result of correlation and regression analysis, linear dependences of the development degree of segregation cracks and strips both axial and angular on the sulfur content in steel and on the ratio of manganese content to sulfur content were established. The degree of these defects development increases with growing of sulfur content in steel of A12 grade. These defects had especially strong development when sulfur content in steel was of more than 0.10%. To improve the quality of cast metal, it is necessary to have the ratio of the manganese content to the sulfur content in the metal more than eight.

Infertility has repercussions as a problem in different areas. Regarding the sphere of the couple, this is a situation that can affect both spouses and operates in marital satisfaction. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to know how the conjugality is affected by the female infertility from the national and international scientific production. It is an integrative review of the scientific literature indexed in the databases/libraries PUBMED, PsycINFO and LILACS published between 2008 and 2018, in the Portuguese, Spanish and English languages, which recovered 34 publications, which were submitted to critical analysis. It is a predominantly international production, with a quantitative approach. The guiding question that led to the present revision was answered, so that it was found that infertility transforms the conjugal relationship, most often negatively, which has no direct influence of the female factor as cause. In contrast, the search for treatment is shown as an aspect of cohesion between the couple, which strengthens itself in pursuit of a common goal. Therefore, it is necessary to develop actions that aim at improving the marital and sexual quality of life of couples who are undergoing diagnosis and treatment for infertility. This paper aims to evaluate the satisfaction level of customers of a restaurant inSanta Maria- RS, using descriptive statistical analysis in order to identify opportunities for improvements to the rated restaurant. Customers were asked to rate, for each item, your satisfaction, according to a Likert scale. The results showed that the restaurant seems to meet customer expectations with respect to its internal structure, layout, accessibility, location, the options and the speed in payment and the price charged in addition to all aspects aspects related to food. However, it was found that the highest rates of dissatisfaction are related to the smell of the internal environment, parking and internal decoration. The results presented by this research, as well as recommendations for improvement will be forwarded to the restaurant so that necessary measures can be taken to ensure continuous improvement of the quality of their services.

Hospitals throughout the world are attempting to improve organizational performance through a variety of means. The focus in this paper is on a leading teaching hospital in Australia for a review of current management strategy. In a time of shrinking resources, management adopted a multi-faceted change management program including restructuring the organization, becoming more patient-focused via a product-line management approach and emphasising efficiency and cost-reduction measures. The next stage in management thinking is to place greater emphasis on patient-focused care. It is concluded this has the propensity to yield substantial further benefits, including improved financial and quality of care outcomes, in the Australian as well as the British and wider Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) context. ‘Professionally, we have committed ourselves to creating caring environments that promote healing. We cannot meet this goal until we make a commitment to be patient-focused and give up being nurse-focused or facility-focused’ (Kerfort and LeClair, 1991). ‘In a customer-driven [organization], the distribution of roles is different. The organization is decentralized, with responsibility delegated to those who until now have comprised the order-obeying bottom level of the pyramid. The traditional, hierarchical corporate structure, in other words, is beginning to give way to a flattened, more horizontal structure’ (Carlzon, 1987).

Background/Objectives: The interest in work-life balance has increased in Korea since the low birthrate problem intensified in the 2000s, and recently, a 52-hour workweek has been implemented depending on the size of the company to ensure work-life balance. Companies are also adopting the direction and policies of the government to spread job redesign or organizational culture that can bring work-life balance. Work-life balance is seen as a paradigm for high performance in modern society. Activation of smart work, which is a system that can work anytime and anywhere without being bound by time and place, is inevitable. It is assumed that the quality of life of the members of the organization will be improved through smartwork activation, and that the improvement of the quality of life will soon increase the organizational performanceMethods/Statistical analysis: This study utilizes the original data from the 2018 Smartwork Survey conducted by the Korea Information Society Agency, targeting employees of businesses with five or more business units and CEOs of businesses or heads of departments responsible for introducing and operating smart work. The survey collected samples using stratified sampling methods, and the survey was conducted online and in writing to 1,700 people from October 8, 2018 for 27 days. Finally, 566 data were hypothesized through SPSS 21.0 and AMOS structural model analysis.Findings: As a result of analyzing the effect of smart work on organizational performance through the effect of quality on life, Smartwork activation affects organizational performance, and the improvement of quality of life through time saving and work efficiency due to smartwork affects organizational performance. Managers' interest was found to play a moderating role in the structural relationship between smartwork activation, quality of life and organizational performance.Improvements/Applications: This study suggests smartwork activation by empirically analyzing the effect of smartwork activation on organizational performance by the mediating effect of quality of life for employees of companies working in smart office environment.

Recognizing the role of human factors engineering (HFE) in the development of medical devices and combination products that involve devices, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) now requires human factors (HF) validations before market approval. Manufacturers are responsible for ensuring their products are safe and effective through the application of HFE. However, key stakeholders are still learning and developing capabilities to adapt to the regulatory component. Nonetheless, the lack of the corresponding HF capabilities hinders compliance with the FDA’s expectations, and though ultimate success. No known previous work has looked into FDA HF validation projects to assess the underlying factors and implications of failed submissions. Applying system dynamics (SD), a causal loop diagram (CLD) was developed. CLDs are useful for the exploration of the causal interactions among factors or variables, as well as the underlying feedback structure of a complex system. This work can serve to help manufacturers better understand the FDA’s HF requirement to enable overall product success. Further, with patient safety as a common goal, HF service providers (HFSPs) and regulators should be aware of the need to ensure the consistent quality of the HF element in premarket submissions.

Leadership and leaders matters effectively and confidently effect on outcomes ofthe organization. Certain leadership characteristics and qualities are important to improve leadership effectiveness and organizational performance. This study is based on two major qualities of leadership such as relationship-oriented and task-oriented. Developing others, supporting team, identifying the pain and interpersonal skills were taken as dependent variables of relationship-oriented qualities. Likewise, developing self, business acumen, commitment, pursuit of excellence and accountability/focus were taken as dependent variables of task oriented qualities. It was concerned with the managerial qualities of managers working in financial institutions of Nepal (including three commercial banks, three development banks, three finance companies, and three insurance companies). In total 60 managers (5 of each organization) and 120 (10 of each organization) were the respondents. Their opinions were used for analysis purposes in this study. The Likert-scale questionnaire was used as the tool for data collection. It was composed of five points showing 5 represents strongly agree to 1 indicates strongly disagree. The empirical results of this study indicated that on the basis of relationship-oriented, "identifying the pain" was the most desirable quality of leaders (managers) by employees whereas on the basis of task-oriented, “pursuit of excellence" was the most desirable quality of leaders (managers) from employee perspective of the financial institutions of Nepal. Based on managers ‘perspective, the most desirable quality of leaders was "interpersonal skills" in terms of relationship-oriented leadership qualities, whereas in terms of task oriented qualities, the most desirable quality of leaders by the manager was" commitment". The leadership qualities are best while targeting to accomplish the organizational task on time.

Lecturer performance is related to the quality of educators that are owned by a university. Poor performance will affect the quality and carrying capacity of the sustainability of an organization, in this case the university. There are many models developed to measure the performance of teachers, but not much to discuss the influence of faculty performance itself towards sustainability of an organization that houses the professor. This study was conducted in an attempt to measure the performance of lecturers to support the sustainability of the university. A faculty performance assessment model is developed to see whether the performance of lecturers affect the sustainability of the university. The method used is descriptive and verification of data sample of 275 private university lecturers in Banten Province. Application of Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used to test the model and estimate hypothesis using LISREL Results showed that leadership, motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment affect positively and significantly to the performance of lecturers either partially or together with a contribution of 84%. The perception of organizational commitment variable was high which is good. In addition, responsibility for the improvement of organizational performance based on indicators of commitment to the organization ranked highest score of the respondent's perception. This showed that the lecturers were highly committed to the organization which is a great asset in the process of sustainability of an organization. In addition to the score of a continuing commitment to the organization shows lecturers should continue to be fostered in order to maintain the quality of organizational performance. This study shows that the performance of lecturers can support the sustainability of the organization

Teamwork is one of the most important factors for business success in the modern economy. In almost every area of business, teams receive more and more attention, since it has been found that teamwork leads to greater individual, group, and even organizational performance. The aim of this research is to investigate the effectiveness of teamwork and its relationship with team performances. Specifically, the authors tried to investigate which factors of teamwork effectiveness have a positive relationship with teamwork performance and the sustainability of teams in the future. The subject of the research is the effectiveness of teamwork as a construct that is widely presented in the scientific field of organizational behavior and human resource management, but is still underexplored in empirical research, especially in the banking sector. An investigation with a self-audit questionnaire on teamwork effectiveness was conducted on a sample of 401 employees in the banking sector in Serbia, in 16 out of the 26 existing banks in the country. The authors used SmartPLS software in order to test the questionnaire (indicator loadings, internal consistency reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity) and proposed research question (PLS-SEM). The results showed that factors such as innovative behavior of the team members, the quality of teamwork, and teamwork synergy have positive relations to teamwork performance. This paper contributes to the better understanding of the factors of teamwork effectiveness that contribute to team performances, with respect to the banking industry in Serbia. The limitation of the paper is the size of the sample, with respect to the total population.
