This study examines to make up this significant gap in the existing literature. Using a cross-sectional sample consisting of 240 nurses in the hospitals of Uzbekistan and a structural model, with a random sampling technique by employing explanatory, and causal design was used to test the developed framework.  Quantitative data was collected using questionnaires, the survey instruments were distributed by hand among the private and public sector, we find that nurses’ perceived safety culture (SC) and decision-making capacity (DMC) act as important mechanisms linking TL to PS. Meanwhile, nurses’ perceived locus of control (LC) moderates the effect of TL on SC and DMC in such a way that this effect is more salient for nurses with internal LC than for nurses with external LC. This paper examines the contribution, that individuals with high internal LC are more affected by TL, generate and can better develop SC and DMC. The study findings demonstrated the significant role of transformational leadership played in order to improve working conditions and the environment, which helps nurses to create good conditions, relationships with patients and increase patient safety. The theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed

AbstrakKeselamatan pasien merupakan dasar dari pelayanan kesehatan yang baik. Pengetahuan tenaga kesehatan dalam sasaran keselamatan pasien terdiri dari ketepatan identifikasi pasien, peningkatan komunikasi yang efektif, peningkatan keamanan obat yang perlu diwaspadai, kepastian tepat lokasi, prosedur, dan tepat pasien operasi, pengurangan risiko infeksi, pengurangan risiko pasien jatuh. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan penerapan keselamatan pasien pada petugas kesehatan di Puskesmas Kedaung Wetan Kota Tangerang. Metode Penelitian menggunakan deskriptif korelasi menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi sebanyak 50 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar kuesioner. Teknik analisa diatas menggunakan analisa Univariat dan Bivariat. Hasil Penelitian ada Hubungan Pengetahuan dengan Penerapan Keselamatan Pasien pada Petugas Kesehatan, dengan hasil, p value sebesar 0,013 < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada Hubungan Pengetahuan dengan Penerapa Keselamatan Pasien pada Petugas Kesehatan. Knowledge of health personnel in patient safety targets consists of accurate patient identification, increased effective communication, increased safety of the drug that needs to be watched, certainty in the right location, procedure, and precise patient surgery, reduction in risk of infection, reduction in risk of falling patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and the application of patient safety to health workers in the Kedaung Wetan Health Center, Tangerang City. The research method uses descriptive correlation using cross sectional approach. The population is 50 respondents. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire sheet. The analysis technique above uses Univariate and Bivariate analysis. The results of the study there is a Relationship of Knowledge with the Implementation of Patient Safety in Health Officers, with the result, p value of 0.013 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a Relationship between Knowledge and Patient Safety Implementation in Health Officers. In the patient safety standards / International Patient Safety Goal (IPSG), especially the prevention of the risk of falling must be applied by nurses, age is one of the internal factors that affect compliance. This study aims to determine the correlation between age of nurses with adherence in the implementation of prevention of falling patients in Samarinda Government Hospital using a descriptive correlation design and cross sectional approach. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire and observation sheet with a sample of 51 nurses in the non-intensive inpatient room with a purposive sampling technique. The analysis test in this study uses the Spearman rank test with the results of p value 0.026 (rho = 0.312), so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the age of nurses with adherence in the implementation of prevention of falling patients.

The safety of hospital patients is the hospital system to make patient care safer. Safe from the possibility of the risk of Patient Safety Incidents (IKP). One that can override the Model COPA patient safety is requesting more competent, safe practices, verified by examination performance. This study used a descriptive correlation design with cross sectional approach. The goal is to obtain COPA analysis model approach and the determinant factors of nurses with patient safety. The population is all nurses in inpatient hospital Abdul Manap city of Jambi. The number of samples in this study were 50 nurses using total sampling technique. In the bivariate analysis, obtained variables skills assessment and intervention, communication, critical thinking, human caring and relations of social, management, leadership, teaching and integration of science, gender, type of education, length of work, married status, employment status, accreditation campus, GPA, there is a significant association with patient safety with p-value <0.005. Meanwhile, to test each dependent variable and independent variables used chi square test. Multivariate analysis using logistic regression. For that to hospitals in hiring the necessary consideration in terms of the skill factor, for workforce training nurses for patient safety and hospital complements the SPO and equipment less.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of the combination of transformational leadership and social capital in safety capacity building. Drawing on the A-G-I-L concept of Talcott Parsons, we test a model for patient safety. The hypothesis is, that good safety management needs a combination of goal attainment (G) and integration (I), here called the GI factor. We tested this hypothesis by using transformational leadership as a surrogate for goal attainment and social capital as a surrogate for integration in a study of the perceptions of chief medical officers in 551 German hospitals. We conducted a cross-sectional hospital survey combined with secondary data analysis in all German hospitals with at least one internal medicine unit and one surgery unit (N = 1224 hospitals) in the year 2008 with a response rate of 45% (N = 551). The regression model explained 17.9% of the variance in perceived clinical risk management. We found that if both requirements for goal-oriented collective action—transformational leadership and social capital—are met, good safety management is more likely. The tentative conclusion is that it takes transformative leaders and cohesive followers together as a social basis to improve safety in hospitals.

Patient safety is important and can be facilitated by improving the work climate for nurses. This study aims to describe the work climate of nurses and its impact on the application of patient safety at Sartika Asih Hospital, Bandung. The design of this study was descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this research is 84 nurses, and a simple random sampling technique was used to select 69 people. Data collection used the NWork Climate questionnaire by Suyanto with 36 statements. The univariate analysis used indicates that 56.5% respondents felt the work climate was not good, while 43.5%) felt it was good. According to Muadi (2019) work climate is a tool of environmental characteristics. Perceived directly by employees and assumed to have the main power in influencing employee behavior, the work climate is partially created visthe collaboration between the nurse and manager. The working climate of nurses in the hospital is still not good, so the hospital needs to make policies to improve this, including the scheduling of regular meetings and plans to increase the knowledge of nurses.   Keywords: working climate; patient safety; nurse

The quality of health services is the main focus in health service facilities, especially hospitals. A patient safety culture can improve quality and patient safety. Nurse clinical leadership was identified as one of the supporting factors for the successful application of a patient safety culture. This study aims to analyze the relationship between clinical leadership of nurses and the application of a patient safety culture at Nurul Hasanah Hospital. This type of research is descriptive correlational analytic with cross sectional approach.The population in this study were all nurses at Nurul Hasanah Hospital with a total sampling technique of 62 nurses. The results showed that most of the respondents with good clinical leadership (53.2%), most of the application of a good patient safety culture (66.1%) and there was a significant relationship between the clinical leadership of nurses and the application of a patient safety culture (p-value = 0.043). So it can be concluded that the application of a good patient safety culture can be realized by the optimal clinical leadership abilities of nurses. Therefore, the support of the hospital managerial is very important to support the clinical leadership competence of nurses in realizing the achievement of a patient safety culture through both formal and non-formal education.

The patient safety mission at the hospital is to prevent patient safety incidents from occurring, the number of incidents is said to be like an iceberg phenomenon. The incidence rate in Indonesia based on data from the Joint Commission International (2012) shows that as many as 13% due to surgical errors and 68% due to blood transfusion errors. This study aims to analyze the relationship between leadership support and compliance with nurses in identifying patients in the implementation of patient safety in the Datu Beru Aceh Hospital. Tengah. The research design used a quantitative analytic survey with a cross-sectional design. The population of all nurses working in the Women's Internal Medicine Room at Datu Beru Hospital, Central Aceh was 34 people. The sampling technique used total sampling. Data analysis was carried out by univariate, bivariate and multivariate with chi_square. The results of the research variable Leadership Support with Nurse Adherence obtained p-value = 0,000, meaning that there is a relationship between leadership support and nurse compliance to identify patients in the application of patient safety. Multivariate analysis of leadership support variables obtained sig value of 0.000 <p = 0.05, which means that there is a significant influence of the leadership support variable on nurse compliance. There is a relationship between leadership support and the compliance of nurses to identify patients in the application of patient safety and there is a significant effect.

Management of patient safety plays an important role in improving the quality of health services. Patient safety is the efforts of service that prioritizes patient safety. The research was conducted at Ibn Sina Hospital, the type of research is cross sectional study is a draft that examines the dynamics of the correlation between the independent variables (patient safety) and the dependent variable (improving the quality of health services) at the same time. Respondents that all officers in the field of medical care and support services at Ibn Sina Hospital. The sampling technique used is random cluster sampling technique with a population of 402 respondents sampled 304 respondents. Based on interviews with the respondents stated that the higher the safety of the patient, the better the quality of a hospital, when a patient is exposed to the incident then it will switch to other hospitals, patient safety and quality are positively correlated Hospital. The results showed that no respondents (0%) the implementation of Patient Safety classified as very weak. The percentage of respondents to the implementation of Patient Safety is very strong, strong, moderate and weak amounted to 12.25% (30 respondents), 71.57% (224 respondents), 15.69% (39 respondents) and 0.49% (11 respondents ). Based on these results it is known that the majority of respondents ie 71.57% (224 respondents) is the implementation of the Patient Safety category are classified as strong, so it can be concluded that the implementation of Patient Safety at Ibn Sina Hospital relatively strong. Based on the dimensions of most of the dimensions Implementing Patient Safety at Ibn Sina Hospital is high with dimensions on the dimension of cooperation is highest in units amounted to 97.10%.</em>

Patient safety is a system created by the Hospital so that patient care safe. Which issupported by the knowledge and attitudes that are the result of the idea through to a particularobject sensing and social interaction so that the formation of one's actions. The aim of researchto determine the relationship of the nurse's knowledge about patient safety by implementinghospital patient safety procedures in Hospital Nursing Waluya Sawahan Malang.This study used a correlational design with cross sectional approach. The population inthis study nurses were 60 respondents using simple random sampling technique. Diggerquestionnaire data. The data obtained were analyzed with a computerized program usingSpearman Rank Test. The results of the research data showed the majority of 49 respondents (81.7%) havesufficient knowledge and fraction 3 respondents (5.0%) knowledgeable good. Whereas in theimplementation of Hospital Patient Safety mostly 41 respondents (68.3%) Less Patient Safetyimplementation and fraction 3 respondents (5.0%) Patient Safety good execution. Analysis of thedata by the Spearman Rank test was obtained (p value) (0,001) &lt;α (0.05) means that there is arelationship between knowledge of nurses with the implementation of a hospital patient safetyprocedures in hospital Panti Waluya Sawahan Malang. While the correlation coefficient 0.420means that relationships are.Recommended Suggestions for further research conduct further research to measureother variables that have not been studied as a nurse attitudes towards implementation. Researchcan be done by the method of observation and in-depth interview since Patient Safety is verycomplex.

Abstract Introduction Patient safety issues have become a major concern in healthcare organizations that lead to undesired events and reduce patients’ quality of life (QoL). Around 10% of patients affected by serious medical errors during treatment, among these 14% result in death and 70% in disability. Nurse-led services are paramount in the treatment and have vital role in minimizing patient safety issues. Hence, a study was aimed to analyse the nurses’ attitude and perception on patient safety and, to determine the potential predictors for patient safety outcome dimensions. Method A quantitative descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted at a 900 bed teaching hospital. Random sampling technique was adopted to select nurses with more than 6 months of working experience in the hospital. Hospital Survey On Patient Safety (HSOPS) tool was used in this study, it had 42 items with 12 dimensions. Results Out of 390 questionnaires distributed, 360 were returned with complete details and the response rate was 92%. Among the safety culture dimensions, only two items scored more than 75% of positive response rate (PRR) which were ‘Organizational learning-continuous improvement’ (PRR 84%) and ‘Teamwork within unit’ (PRR 80%). The ‘Communication openness’ and ‘Hospital handoffs and transition’ scored a very low PRR which were 43% and 37% respectively, as most of the nurses felt that sharing information or issues with colleagues may be held against them. Reporting of errors were very low in the current set-up as most of the nurses reported 1-2 adverse events in a year which was noted as highest among all specialties. Conclusion The current level of patient safety in this teaching hospital need an immediate attention as most of the patient safety domains scored a very low PRR. Safety measures need to be taken before the issues reaches worst situation and adverse impact on patients’ health related QoL.
