Wayang Wong is one Javanese traditional dance drama combining drama arts and wayang performance. The stories in Wayang wong performances are taken from Mahabarata and Ramayana. Many stories presented through wayang wong performances give various life examples through each figure’s characters. Of those contained in wayang wong performances, this article only selected the figures from Mahabarata story as not only well known by the society like Gatotkaca, Arjuna, Bima/Werkudara, or Kresna, but also many Mahabarata story figures have good characters appropriate to become the examples for the character education at schools. Love, forgiveness, patience. responsibility, helpfulness, and other good characters belong to the Mahabarata story protagonist figures. This descriptive qualitative research used a cultural approach by identifying wayang wong figures’ characters in both Ramayana and Mahabharata stories. The research data were collected using literature reviews on various relevant references to wayang wong to dig and obtain the descriptions of the wayang wong figures’ characters in both Mahabharata and Ramayana stories as the character education for elementary school students. This article is greatly interesting because by introducing the protagonist figures through wayang wong performances, the children from Javanese ethnicity are expected to have good characters sourced from the local cultures. This is important because by knowing wayang figures, children are taught to love and conserve their nation’s cultures.

ABSTRACTBased on the observation in the classroom, upright writing skillsis less desirable for students. This is known in the implementation of writing the value of students is still low and many are still less tidy or not in accordance with the spelling. This research attempts to apply contrastive techniques in upright writing skills. The formulation of the problem, namely: (1) how is the activity of writing writing upright with the application of contrastive techniques to the students of grade 1 elementary school in Madiun Regency ?; And (2) how the students' learning outcomes in writing upright with the implementation of the technique of contrastive. in grade 1 elementary school students in Madiun Regency? The purpose of this research is to describe the activity and the result of learning to write upright with continuous technique. This research is a qualitative research to know the application of contrastive technique in learning writing. The research data is the 1st grader of SD in Madiun Regency. This study aims to describe the character education contained in a children’s story entitled Small So Comrade, Big So Opponent. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The object in this study is a children’s story entitled Small So Comrade, Big So Opponent written by Tri Isyanti and Siti Andari. The research data was collected through reading and taking notes techniques. The data analysis in this research is conducted by implementing pragmatic approach. The steps conducted are identifying, reviewing, interpreting, and describing the parts of the children’s story that can be utilized as the form of character education. The results of this research as it is depicted in the children’s story entitled Small So Comrade, Big So Opponent written by Tri Isyanti and Siti Andari portray that there is a character education value in terms of mitigating disaster. The children's storybook is set for 3rd grade of elementary school students who have environmental and social concerns towards flood disaster, just in case someday it strikes their place of being. There are five character educations depicted in the children's story which are environmental caring; social caring; generosity, being helpful and cooperative; respect and courtesy; and curiosity.

The purpose of this study was to develop and test the effectiveness of the character education module based on the school literacy movement. This type of research uses Research and Development (RnD). The research subjects used were fifth grade elementary school students in the RA Kartini Cluster, Jaken District, Pati Regency. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The data was collected using observation sheets, interview sheets, photos of activities, and filling out questionnaires. Sources of data obtained from filling out questionnaires, observations, and responses from school principals, class teachers, subject teachers, students, and school committees on the implementation of the module. The resulting module is validated by material experts and module experts. Small group trials were conducted in fifth grade SDN Mojoluhur, Jaken District, Pati Regency. Meanwhile, product use trials were carried out in fifth grade SDNs in the RA Kartini Cluster, Jaken District, Pati Regency. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and using the t-test to determine the effectiveness of the module. The questionnaire instrument test used validity and reliability, while the quality of the module in the study used expert validation. The results showed: (1) a character education module developed based on the school literacy movement for elementary schools; (2) the character education module based on the school literacy movement is declared valid, the percentage of eligibility criteria for the validator is 75% (feasible) and 83% (very feasible); (3) the character education module based on the school literacy movement is effective for instilling character education in elementary school students. This is shown in the t test the effectiveness of -121.696 1.86 was obtained and the average student character questionnaire before and after using the module increased by 30.08%; (4) the results of teacher responses from observations showed 75.6% (good).

This study aims to describe the values ​​of character education in the fairy tale Bawang Merah Bawang Putih and its relevance for strengthening the character of elementary school students. The data of this research is the story of Bawang Merah Bawang Putih which was obtained from the fairy tale book by Runna Aulia and Ghais Ramadhani. The data collection technique used is documentation. This stage of the data analysis technique is carried out by data condensation. Presentation of data, as well as conclusions and verification of research results. The results of this study are 5 character values ​​contained in the fairy tale Bawang Merah Bawang Putih, such as the value of the character of hard work, the value of the character of discipline, the value of the character of responsibility, the value of the character of social care, the value of the character of curiosity. This study also found 5 character values ​​that exist in strengthening character education, such as the value of telligiosity, nationalism, integrity, independence and mutual cooperation. The characters in this fairy tale can also be used as learning content at school. there are good examples so that students can find good learning to be applied to everyday life such as the school environment, community and family environment.

Teaching materials are one of the important components needed in the learning process. With the appropriate teaching materials, it is hoped that it can help the smooth running of learning activities. Science is a compulsory subject for elementary school students. Science contains all things related to nature. Teaching materials that have been used in learning activities are teaching materials made by the government. The purpose of this study was to determine the needs of students for context-based teaching materials and creativity to improve the scientific literacy of elementary school students. The research subjects were students from several elementary schools in Peukan Bada District, 25 students were used as the source of interview data. Data were collected using interviews and open questionnaires for students. The research data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Based on the research data, it can be concluded that it is necessary to develop context-based teaching materials and creativity. Context and creativity-based teaching materials were chosen because they can facilitate students to learn, both with educators and independently. Context-based teaching materials and creativity are teaching materials that are packaged in a comprehensive and schematic manner. This study is also part of a study on the development of teaching materials on the topic of human and animal organism.

Fiqh material requires a special skill for an educator in delivering it, let alone intersect with the problem of delivering material that considered taboo by both educators and students. Like delivering material about the purification of the big hadas (Mandi Junub), also conveyed the material of the request prayer, and fasting (Haid, Nifas Jimak). The skills of a teacher are needed in order to convey taboo material in Fiqh to level students elementary school in proportion. This article aims to analyze the skills of an educator in delivering Fiqh material which is taboo provide understanding to elementary school students. This article will studied using descriptive qualitative research methods by going directly to the field searches for data and narrates the data with a theory that concerned. The results of this study educators need special skills in teaching in order to be able to convey Fiqh material that is considered taboo to level students elementary school properly and in proportion. Conclusions from this research skills delivering Fiqh material from educators can provide understanding to participants educate on Fiqh material which is considered taboo
