This paper proposes a method to generate an attractive summary from a story and describes an attractive summary generation system based on the method. The system consists of two sections. The one is the section extracting an important part of a story, i.e., the part of a new turn of a story defined by the appearance frequency of new words in a story. The other is the section generating a summary from the extracted important part. This section chooses important sentences and deletes unnecessary phrases from the extracted part. Finally, this paper confirms the validity of the presented approach by subject’s experiments.

This paper describes a system which composes operetta songs fitting to adjectives representing producer’s impressions of story scenes. Inputs to the system are original theme music, story texts and adjectives representing producer’s impressions of story scenes. The system composes variations on theme music and lyrics based on impressions of story scenes using Kansei information processing in order to convey producer’s impression of a story to audiences. Evolutionary computation is also applied to generations of variations and lyrics. Subjects experiments are performed to verify the usefulness of the system usingThe Ant and the Chrysalisin Aesop’s Fables as a story. In the experiments, two types of evaluations are considered. The one is the evaluation from the viewpoint that the system generates operetta songs fitting to story scenes appropriately or not. The other is the evaluation from the viewpoint that the system generates operetta songs giving producers and listeners the same impressions of generated operetta songs or not.

This article focuses on communicative language tradition in the language of legal documents. Authors dwell on the analysis of the «verbal communication » term and its understanding in modern science. As evidence, the analysis of this definition in various Russian and Chinese dictionaries is given. In addition, the article mentions the fact that the modern business communication (both Russian and Chinese), on the one hand, is under the influence of western business culture, and on the other hand, preserves communicative traditions of business letter. The authors note that the Chinese communicative tradition is more stable, which is observed in the lexical legislative «word creation». This phenomenon is due to the special way of «borrowing» of new words in Chinese. In addition, the article draws attention to the particular cultural meaning of lexical units of Chinese business documents.

This study focuses on monitoring the development in the lexical composition of the modern Russian language lexical-semantic digits pluraliatantum nouns and nouns, mostly used in the plural form. The material of the study used the book "Dictionary of new words." During the analysis it was found that the process of appearance of words and pluraliatantum nouns, is used mainly in the form of plural. numbers can be considered active and continuous, on the one hand, characterizes the category of plural nouns in the structure as a strong, mnogoznamenatelnuyu category, on the other hand, once again convinces us of the inseparable, mutually connection of language and society. Political and economic reforms in Russia, have occurred in recent decades, the expansion of ties in all areas with other countries of the world are reflected in the lexical composition of these units, their semantics and education

The article discusses the cultural experience preserved in language in the form of more or less popular phrasemes. The author identifies selected sources of the phrasemes and depicts their function in preserving and saving the cultural heritage of past generations. She highlights the changes taking place in the contemporary language. The author underlines the multidirectional nature of these changes: on the one hand, society preserves the linguistic heritage, while on the other hand it gives new meanings to previously known words and sayings, creates new words and phrasemes which allow a reflection on the current socio-cultural experiences of individuals and social groups. The summary indicates the educational aspect of the issue and the necessity of implementing a carefully planned native language education which will support developing the identities of individuals, social groups and society as a whole.

In this paper we present two algorithms for building lexicons in Directed Acyclic Word-Graphs (DAWGs). The two algorithms, one for deterministic and the other for non-deterministic DAWGs, can be used instead of the traditional subset construction method. Although the proposed algorithms do not produce the optimal DAWG (i.e., the one with the minimum number of states), they are simple, fast and able to build the DAWG incrementally, as new words are added to the lexicon. Thus, building large lexicons in a DAWG structure becomes an easy task, even for a modest computer.

The article deals with the new German contaminated lexical units that appeared during the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. The features of contamination as a way of coining new words are identified, and the formal-structural and semantic types of German contaminants are described. It is shown that the phonetic fusion contaminants predominate in the analyzed material. The article substantiates the understanding of contamination as a ludic word-creating strategy aimed at overcoming psychological discomfort during the pandemic. The use of contamination in the coining of "coroneologisms" is also determined by the wish to compress the information and to realize the figurative and expressive potential of contaminated words, which occurs due to the special associative links between syntactically separate words and the introduction of elements of subjective meaning. By analyzing the motivational basis and semantics of the new contaminants, it is concluded that language games with contaminated words are particularly popular in the "pandemic" discourse due to their connotative emotional and evaluative potential. The appearance of similar structural and semantic contaminants of the 2020 pandemic period in different languages can be considered in two ways: on the one hand, we can assume the borrowing of ready-made contaminated units from the English language, on the other hand, we can talk either about neological polygenesis (parallel emergence of similar new words in different languages), or about the strengthening of the lexical development trend already existing in German under the influence of English. In general, the new "coronavirus" vocabulary formed by contamination confirms the trend towards lexical globalization (primarily under the influence of the English language)

Composite word formation has been constantly attracting the attention of scientists since the middle of the XXth century. This interest is due, on the one hand, to the complex and ambiguous nature of composites, on the other, to the fact that their main function is to replenish the vocabulary of the language, which is a continuous phenomenon. The dynamics of the processes occurring in the language is inextricably linked with the life of society, with socio-economic and political phenomena. The formation of new words is dictated by the very essence of the language - ensuring a person's need for linguistic means. The essence of the word composition is that to designate a new object or phenomenon, or its sign, a new lexeme is formed by combining two or more stems. After this process, the lexeme functions in the language while its semantics can be inseparable from the semantics of its constituent components or it acquires a completely new meaning. Studies of this order are of great importance for any language, but this is especially true for the so-called "minor languages". Despite the fact, that the issues of composite word formation are to a certain degree reflected in the works devoted to the Ossetian language and its dialects, there are many poorly studied issues, especially in the Digor dialect. In the existing grammars of Digor, these issues are described only in general terms, there are no separate studies in the field of composite word formation. This article is devoted to one of the particular problems within the framework of this topic: composites-adjectives in the Digor dialect of the Ossetian language. The study provides an overview of the basic theoretical problems associated with compositing, analyzes scientific approaches to the study of adjectives-composites, both in linguistics in general and in Ossetian linguistics. On the basis of the existing theoretical base, Digor adjective composites are analyzed and systematized. The ways of forming the most productive word-formation models of complex adjectives are revealed, a part-of-speech analysis of the components forming them is carried out.

Derivational morphology is a type of word formation that creates new lexemes, either by changing syntactic category or by adding substantial new meaning (or both) to a free or bound base. Derivation may be contrasted with inflection on the one hand or with compounding on the other. The distinctions between derivation and inflection and between derivation and compounding, however, are not always clear-cut. New words may be derived by a variety of formal means including affixation, reduplication, internal modification of various sorts, subtraction, and conversion. Affixation is best attested cross-linguistically, especially prefixation and suffixation. Reduplication is also widely found, with various internal changes like ablaut and root and pattern derivation less common. Derived words may fit into a number of semantic categories. For nouns, event and result, personal and participant, collective and abstract noun are frequent. For verbs, causative and applicative categories are well-attested, as are relational and qualitative derivations for adjectives. Languages frequently also have ways of deriving negatives, relational words, and evaluatives. Most languages have derivation of some sort, although there are languages that rely more heavily on compounding than on derivation to build their lexical stock. A number of topics have dominated the theoretical literature on derivation, including productivity (the extent to which new words can be created with a given affix or morphological process), the principles that determine the ordering of affixes, and the place of derivational morphology with respect to other components of the grammar. The study of derivation has also been important in a number of psycholinguistic debates concerning the perception and production of language.

Abstract: In present-day society, where side by side and intersecting, secularization on the one hand seems to minimize and devalorize the sacred and the religious while on the other hand is the explosion of new ways to express religiousness, the celebration of the Eucharist intends to offer to those who participate in it an experience of God. For this, the Church today lives out the challenge of fidelity to all the depth ofmeaning contained in the Sacrament of the Eucharist, but at the same time to communicate the mystery which is its content through new words and by new expressions, by means which attract and allure modern human beings. For this the Eucharist counts upon an element of newness radical in that which has to do with the meaning of the sacred: the mystery of the Incarnation of Jesus Christ,Word made flesh, the only Mediator of the New Alliance.

This article analyzes the phenomenon of orthographic destabilization in the Russian language in the early XXI century. The phonic and graphic word forms compete in the process of phonetic-graphic adaptation of global lexis to the conditions of the accepting language. The spring to life of the loanword in the new orthographic conditions is associated with variability of the form. Over time, the form of the word stabilizes, resulting in formal de-barbarization of the loanword. In the early XXI century, certain lexical globalisms retain variability even after codification in the normative and specialized dictionaries. The concept of overcoming the variability of orthographic norm in the conditions of linguistic globalization is not being fully implemented, causing orthographic destabilization. On the one hand, the rollback to orthographic variability demonstrates complex vicissitudes of the formation of speech culture of the era of linguistic globalization, while on the other hand is substantiated by specificity of the mechanisms of phonetic-graphic adaptation of loanwords in the Russian language. The variability expands due to the adaptation of new words from the global English departs from the existing orthographic rules. The author demonstrates the phenomenon of orthographic destabilization using the representative examples; as well as concludes that it is of destructive nature, and should be overcome by hewing to the relevant orthographic trends and rules.
