Abstract The problems encountered by artisan blacksmiths based on the field study results: unable to detect incineration temperature of wood charcoal in the crucibles, crusts occurrence on the metal surface of scrap component of spring leaf SUP 9 after heating process in the exposed model heating treatment. The solutions taken were by transforming the kitchen design, from exposed model heating treatment to closeted model heating treatment, which aimed to avoid oxidation on the incinerated metal, thus crusts do not occur on its surface. The kitchen wall of closeted model heating treatment was made from fireproof bricks, held heat resistance, and carried a stable thermal conductivity out of wood charcoal incineration. A digital thermocouple was installed in the closeted model heating treatment kitchen to accurately measure the temperature of wood charcoal incineration results. The closeted heating model treatment kitchen was designed portable. The solution methods applied field study and descriptive analysis. The study generated a result of sturdiness value with 18.8 HRC  average for hoe products was below the standard of sturdiness value according to SNI 02-0331-1989 and generated a result of kitchen wall of closeted model heating treatment made from red bricks with cement as the fastener could not stand the heat. The conclusion for the application of kitchen design of closeted model heating treatment were the sturdity values achieved 58 HRC with SAE 900 C as the cooling lube and the wear rate achieved 0.000165605 gram/m. This meant the wear resistance property was low which met the standard according to SNI 02-0331-1989.   Abstrak Permasalahan pengrajin pande besi sesuai hasil studi lapangan: temperatur pembakaran arang kayu di dalam kowi tidak dapat dideteksi,  permukaan logam bekas komponen pegas daun SUP 9 timbul kerak setelah proses pemanasan di dalam dapur perlakuan panas model buka.  Metode pemecahannya melakukan  inovasi pada desain dapur perlakuan panas model buka dirubah menjadi desain dapur perlakuan panas model tutup yang bertujuan:  material logam yang dipanasi tidak teroksidasi, sehingga permukaan logam tidak timbul kerak, dinding dapur perlakuan panas model tutup terbuat dari bata tahan api, mempunyai sifat tahan panas serta konduktivitas panas hasil pembakaran arang kayu stabil,  dapur perlakuan panas model tutup dipasang termokopel digital agar temperatur hasil pembakaran arang kayu terukur dan akurat, dan dapur perlakuan panas model tutup dirancang dapat dipindah-pindah tempat. Metode pemecahannya menggunakan metode studi lapangan dan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil-hasil temuan yang diperoleh angka kekerasan produk cangkul rata-rata  18,8 HRC masih di bawah angka kekerasan cangkul menurut SNI 02-0331-1989, dinding dapur perlakuan panas model buka terbuat bata merah dengan pengikat semen  tidak tahan panas. Simpulan dengan penerapan desain dapur perlakuan panas model tutup, angka kekerasan  mencapai 58 HRC dengan media pendinginan oli SAE 90 dan laju keausan 0.000165605 gram/m memenuhi SNI 02-0331-1989, sehingga sifat ketahanan ausnya rendah.

AbstractThis legal study discusses the provision of trucking and warehousing of goods services and services at the port. This study is intended to address issues related research problems and directions arrangements in the provision of trucking and warehousing of goods services and services at the port. This study uses empirical juridical approach of practices in the truck transportation of goods and warehousing services in the port, while the results of the study are presented in the form of descriptive analysis. The study results conclusion that it is necessary for institutional capacity of port authorities as the organizer of the cultivated commercially port so as to perform the function of government in the harbor. Port Authority set the capacity of the service, organizing auctions and provision of related services to cooperate with trucking and warehousing services provider in the harbor. IntisariKajian hukum ini membahas mengenai penyediaan jasa truk angkutan barang dan jasa pergudangan di pelabuhan. Kajian ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab permasalahan penelitian terkait permasalahan dan arah pengaturan dalam penyediaan jasa truk angkutan barang dan jasa pergudangan di pelabuhan. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan yuridis empirik dari praktek penyediaan jasa  truk angkutan barang dan jasa pergudangan di pelabuhan, sedangkan hasil penelitian disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif analitis. Hasil kajian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa diperlukan peningkatan kapasitas kelembagaan otoritas pelabuhan sebagai penyelenggara pelabuhan yang diusahakan secara komersial sehingga mampu menjalankan fungsi pemerintahan di pelabuhan. Otoritas Pelabuhan menetapkan kapasitas layanan, menyelenggarakan lelang penyediaan jasa terkait dan melakukan kerjasama penyedia jasa trucking dan warehousing di pelabuhan.

This article is a part of a Doctoral Thesis titled “Isaan Heritage Tree: From the Belief and the Aesthetic to the Creation of Visual Arts,” with the objectives of studying the belief and the aesthetic that exist in the Isaan Heritage Tree using the qualitative method. The study’s target groups can be divided into three following groups: the experts, the practitioners, and the related people. The area of study is in the Isaan region. The region is divided into upper Isaan, mid-Isaan, and lower Isaan. The research tools consist of surveys, non-participatory observation, and structured and non-structured interviews. The data collected from documents and field data was analyzed using Aesthetic Theory and Symbolic Interactionism Theory and presented using descriptive analysis.  The study results show that Isaan has a long history and development both in geography, the administration, society, the culture, and the migration of people who came to settle in the area from Luang Phrabang, Vientiane, and Champasak. This had caused the people and nation’s coming together and led to social management, which consists of regulations, religion, and belief. The beliefs of the Isaan people are connected to forest spirits, household spirits, or tree spirits. Five following characteristics of the Heritage Trees were also found: 1) The traditional beliefs related to the Heritage Trees of Isaan. 2) The new belief. 3) The beliefs that are connected to the locations. 4) The beliefs in the tree spirits whose identity and gender cannot be identified. 5) Auspicious and inauspicious beliefs. There are three aspects for the aesthetics: Aesthetic elements are the feeling of amazement due to the gigantic size filled with astonishment, mystery, and the fear of power. The interesting aspects of Art elements are the unity and relationship to the seasons, such as the Fall season, Rainy Season, and the blooming of flowers that contribute to the changes in the aesthetics changes. The visual art elements consist of six following components; bodies and shapes, lines, colors, textures, light and shadows, and area. It was found that the gigantic size and height cause amazements to the viewers. The physical lines of the Isaan Heritage trees were the lines along the trunks, the lines on the branches, and the lines that go along the leaves and flowers. There are different colors of the trunk, the leaves, and the flowers. The texture was rough, harsh, and the cracks follow the same directions as the trunk. There are botanical differences in the light and shadows of the heritage trees. As for the area, there are differences between the area of the heritage trees and the surrounding areas, as well as the differences within the Isaan Heritage Trees area.   Received: 25 January 2021 / Accepted: 31 March 2021 / Published: 10 May 2021

This study aims to analyze the development of GRDP, domestic investment, foreign investment, and exports in Jambi Province for the period 2000-2016, as well as to study the effect of domestic investment, foreign investment, and exports on the growth of GRDP of Jambi Province in the period 2000-2016. 2016. This research uses descriptive and quantitative analysis methods. The descriptive analysis method is used to analyze the development of each research variable, namely domestic investment, foreign investment, and exports. Quantitative analysis methods are used to analyze the effect of domestic investment, foreign investment, and exports on the growth of GRDP in Jambi province for the period 2000-2016. Based on the study results, the Jambi Province GRDP growth for the 2000-2016 period was 7.21 percent, domestic investment growth was 11.64 percent, foreign investment was 18.69 percent, and export development was 17.83 percent. And during the period 2000-2016, domestic investment, foreign investment, and exports had a significant effect on GRDP growth in Jambi Province. Rotating Biological Contactors (RBC) have only recently been introduced in Japan as a means of providing secondary treatment to domestic wastewaters. The use of RBCs appears to be particularly attractive for small communities because of their low energy demand and reduced O-M requirements. To evaluate and demonstrate the feasibility of the process as an alternative to conventional secondary treatment, a field study was performed at three municipal facilities in Japan. A single, fundamental model of biofilm kinetics was shown to be capable of accurately predicting soluble BOD5 removals throughout the RBC. Model and field study results indicated that effluent soluble BOD5 should be 3 to 7 mg/l for conventional loads. Approximately 30 percent of the RBC effluent solids were found to be fine particles having a settling velocity of less than 10 to 15 m/day and which exerted 60 to 70 percent of the final effluent total BOD5. Therefore, special attention must he given to solids-liquid separation of the RBC effluent to ensure that the final effluent is of acceptable quality. Several solids-liquid separation methods, including direct screening of RBC effluent, were shown to be feasible in upgrading the effluent quality.

Employment in the garment industries involves a lot of human resources as workers, especially those in the sewing sector. Workers who work in the garment industry have higher possibility to suffer musculoskeletal disorders compared with those in other industries. Less ergonomic working postures is one of the factors that can affect the quality and quantity  of the tailor’s work. Lack of rest time and nutrition of the workers are also additional factor for the musculoskeletal complaints and fatigue in workers that will ultimately impact to the productivity. Therefore, ergonomic intervention is needed in forms of workplace stretching exercise and giving sweet tea to overcome the condition.   This research was an experimental study using treatment by subject design on 25 samples selected by simple random sampling method. Interventions given were WSE and sweet tea. Data were collected three times before and after intervention with washing out period for one day. The data collected comprised subjective fatigue using questionnaire of 30 items of fatigue, data for the musculoskeletal complaints used questionnaire of nordic body map, and also employ productivity by calculation partial productivity.   Data analysis was done initially by the descriptive analysis with the significance’s level ?=0.05 and the normality data tested with Shapiro-Wilk. Subsequently, the data with normal distribution were analyzed by t-paired, while the data with abnormal distribution analyzed be Wilcoxon test. The results showed, there was decrease of musculoskeletal complaints of 24.98%, decrease of fatigue 27.06%, and increase of labor productivity  66.67% all were significant (p<0.05).   Inconclusion, the ergonomic intervention with WSE and giving sweet tea can improve the physiologic response as shown decrease of fatigue and musculoskeletal complaints as well as increase of labor productivity of the tailors. It is recommended  that the study results be applied by tailors working in garment industry or individually.

Polyimide-poly(methylsiloxane) hybrid films were successfully prepared by the sol-gel process with methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) and/or dimethyldiethoxysilane (DMDES) in the polymer solution. Two methods were used for making hybrid films. First, MTES and/or DMDES were dissolved in the N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) solution of the polyamic acid (polyimide precursor) prepared from 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether (ODA) and pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA). During the heating process at 300°C the polyamic acid was converted to polyimide and the sol-gel reaction, which consists of hydrolysis and condensation of MTES and/or DMDES, proceeded simultaneously. Second, methanol was used as the solvent to make the hybrid films by using the triethylamine salt of polyamic acid. The IR spectra proved that the sol-gel reactions started from MTES and DMDES readily proceeded in the polymer matrix. The hybrid films prepared in methanol were more transparent than those prepared in DMAc. Measurement by dynamic mechanical analysis indicated that the polystloxane was dispersed homogeneously in the polyimide matrix even after the heat treatment at 300°C, in the case of both DMAc and methanol solution methods. With respect to the tensile properties, the tensile strength and the elongation at break of the hybrid films prepared by the methanol solution method were higher than those by the DMAc solution method. The modulus of the obtained hybrid films decreasing with increasing DMDES ratio in the silicone unit in both cases.

Brassicaceae weeds can be problematic in canola varieties that have not been modified to resist specific broad-spectrum herbicides. The overall objective of this study was to evaluate the potential for increased rapeseed seeding rate as a management strategy for flixweed. To accomplish this objective, a field study was conducted to determine crop seeding rate effects on canopy light transmission and rapeseed yield characteristics, as well as a greenhouse study to determine morphological and photosynthetic responses of flixweed to decreasing irradiance levels. Results from the field study indicated that light transmittance through the canopy decreased linearly as crop seeding rate increased from 1.8 to 9.0 kg ha-1. Increasing crop seeding rate did not influence rapeseed aboveground biomass, seed yield, and harvest index, but negatively affected rapeseed seed oil content in one of two site-years. Greenhouse study results indicated that declining irradiance levels caused reductions in flixweed biomass, root allocation, and photosynthetic light compensation point. Flixweed leaf allocation, foliage area ratio, and specific foliage area increased in response to decreasing irradiance levels. Combined results of field and greenhouse studies suggest that increasing rapeseed seeding rate can suppress flixweed growth while not causing yield penalties from increased intraspecific competition. However, increased rapeseed seeding rate might not be an adequate control strategy on its own because flixweed displays characteristics of a shade-tolerant species.
