Learning in primary schools largely depends on the role of the teacher, because at the elementary school age students still tend to need teachers as a source of knowledge and direction in solving a problem. Learning in partner primary schools has problems relating to instructional media especially Indonesian language learning media and mathematics. This stimulus community partnership program aims to provide solutions to problems in the partner school of Public Elementary School of Melong Mandiri 4 Cimahi so that the teachers become skilled at designing and making learning media. These problems include the unavailability of adequate learning media; the teacher's skill is not optimal in designing and making innovative learning media. The solution offered in this program is training in designing and making innovative and interesting learning media on Indonesian language and mathematics lessons, namely takalintar media, geoboard, serial images, paper puppets, KPK boards and FPB, for ICT-based media using Powerpoint and Geogebra. This training was conducted using lecture and discussion methods as well as the practice of making instructional media. The results achieved from this activity are there is an increase in the skills of teachers in making innovative learning media by 40%.

This research aims to describe the paradigm of humanistic learning theory in implementing innovative learning in elementary school. The method used in this research is library research which data comes from various sources, both from libraries and various websites that exist on the internet. The source are books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, journals, documents, magazines, and others. Techniques in collecting data that used in this study is documentation. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. The results of this study attempt to illustrate that innovative learning is a learning designed by teachers in new way. The new design made to facilitate learners in building knowledge in the process of behavior change. In addition, the theory of humanistic learning is a theory that helps learners to enjoy learning on subject matter in developing the potential of students themselves to a better direction. Thus, humanistic learning theory can be used to implement innovative learning in primary schools. Humanistic learning theory emphasizes guidance education, develops and directs students basic potential in terms of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Keywords: learning theory, humanistic, innovative learning ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan paradigma teori belajar humanistik dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode library research yang data-datanya berasal dari berbagai sumber, baik dari perpustakaan maupun berbagai website yang ada di internet meliputi buku, ensiklopedi, kamus, jurnal, dokumen, majalah, dan lain-lain. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini berusaha menggambarkan bahwa pembelajaran inovatif merupakan pembelajaran yang dirancang oleh guru yang sifatnya baru, untuk menfasilitasi peserta didik dalam membangun pengetahuannya pada proses perubahan perilaku. Di samping itu, teori belajar humanistik merupakan sebuah teori yang membantu peserta didik untuk senang belajar pada suatu objek atau materi pelajaran dalam mengembangkan potensi diri peserta didik ke arah yang lebih baik. Dengan demikian teori belajar humanistik dapat digunakan untuk mengimplementasikan pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar. Teori belajar humanistik menekankan pada pendidikan membimbing, mengembangkan dan mengarahkan potensi dasar peserta didik baik dari segi kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Japan is a country whose people have a high awareness of the importance of environmental preservation. The environment in Japan can be maintained well not apart from the cooperation between the government and the community together to preserve and protect the surrounding environment. One of the keys to Japan's success in protecting the environment is the consistent and dynamic implementation of environmental education since elementary school age. Environmental education in primary schools in Japan is taught directly through experiments and direct observation in the surrounding environment. Environmental education in primary schools in Japan is associated with several subjects, one of which is the subject of Natural Sciences (rika) and Social Sciences (shakai). Environmental education is also taught through integrated study activities (sougotekina gakushu), through efforts to maintain cleanliness together, through assignments during the summer holidays. The model of environmental education is implemented consistently and with full awareness by elementary school managers in Japan and their students so as to produce students who have a high awareness of the importance of protecting the environment.


The focus of this article to examining the District Monitoring Officer (DMO) and Assistant Commissioner (AC)’s perception for Literacy & Numeracy Drive (LND) a mobile-based application that is used in primary schools of public sector in Punjab province, Pakistan to teach student of Grade 03 on a tablet for learning languages and Mathematics. This study aims to gauge the efficacy of LND for its usefulness, usability, accessibility, content, and assessments. Semi-Structured interviews conducted for the purpose of study from the DMO and AC of District Sheikhupura, to measure the effectiveness of LND and evaluate the effectiveness. The result reveals, in its current form, the LND application is not effective and needs improvement in usability, design, content, accessibility, infrastructure, and assessment. Furthermore, DMO and AC recommended that game-based learning consists of an interactive interface, phonics, animations to be developed and adopted. As a more interactive and attractive presentation of the content and variations in the assessment may increase students’ involvement and will make this application more effective and will produce good results.

Online learning materials prepared by teachers are less attractive and unclear to students, so interesting materials and teaching materials are needed in the online learning process. This study aims to develop Google Classroom-based teaching materials suitable for Indonesian language learning in theme 3 sub-theme 1 for grade IV in elementary school. This type of research is development research that employs a modified ADDIE model with steps of analysis, design, and development. The level of validity of teaching materials is measured based on assessments by design experts, linguists, and learning experts. Meanwhile, the practicality of teaching materials was measured based on assessments by grade IV students and teachers of Public Elementary School. The design expert validation results present an average number of 4.6, which is categorized as very valid; meanwhile, the instructional video experts' validation results show an average of 4.75, which is also classified as very valid. Furthermore, the linguist and expert study video's validation results also showed very valid results at a mean of 4.35 and 4.65, respectively. In addition, the results of expert validation on e-book learning and instructional videos obtained an average score of 4.6 and 4.55, and these two numbers are classified as very valid. Finally, the teacher's practicality assessment of teaching materials obtained an average of 3.45 and is classified as very practical.

This study examined the prevalence of dyslexia and dyscalculia among persons with academic deficits in English Language and Mathematics in public primary schools in Ibadan metropolis. A correlational survey study, sampling 477 pupils who were between the ages of eight and 12 years, and in 4th and 5th grades with the use of four research instruments- the Myklebust Pupil Rating Scale (MPRS), the Slosson Intelligence Test- Revised Third Edition (SIT-R3), the Test of Pupil Reading Abilities Test (TPRA) and the Mathematical Abilities Test (MAT) was adopted. It was discovered that dyslexia and dyscalculia were prevalent among pupils with academic deficits in English Language and Mathematics, and that pupils with both dyslexia and dyscalculia are in the larger percentage. It was also discovered that learning disabilities, dyslexia and dyscalculia were not peculiar to any gender. Persons with academic deficits in English language and mathematics should be screened for either dyslexia or dyscalculia, even both. Also, they should be taught according to a carefully developed Individualized Education Plan.

Reading Corner and teacher modeling are strategies to improve students’ learning process through habit of utilizing classroom corner as a place to read with a teacher as direct model in the activity. The purposes of this research are: 1) implementing innovative learning activities with non monotonous classroom atmosphere; 2) creating interactive and interesting learning process; 3) enhancing students’ reading motivation, and; 4) improving students' academic achievement. This research is a qualitative descriptive research used to describe and analyze phenomenon and real condition in the field through psycholinguistic approach to support language learning process in order to improve students’ motivation to read, write, listen and talk, which has implication to create a good teaching learning process, curriculum which is appropriate with the changes of human dimension, appropriate lesson plan, materials and syllabus for students, as well as performing appropriate assessment. Research findings showed that: 1) students have high motivation and awareness to read; 2) creating conducive learning atmosphere for students to learn; 3) the way students learn is open not solely rely on transfer of knowledge from teachers; 4) the emergence of interest in asking and discussing the information obtained from reading; 5) the emergence of students’ courage in conveying the idea of the results of understanding from learning; 6) the knowledge is developed; 7) students’ vocabulary mastery is getting better; 8) increasing the academic ability of students.
