PT. JC is a company that uses means of transporting goods to the manual process, or so-called Manual Materials Handling (MMH) is done by workers in the Department of Warehouse. In addition to the process of moving goods by using aids such as forklifts manual removal is still needed in this company because it has advantages compared to using the tool for material removal manually can be done in a limited space. In the process of manual material handling led to several complaints that arise and can be analyzed using a Nordic body map (NBM). The use of nordic body map is an appropriate method to use because by analyzing the map of the body aimed at any part of the body feels pain.Besides complaints can also be known value Recomended Weight Limit (RWL) as recommended by NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) on estimates possibility of stretching further to the value of Lifting Index (LI) aims to determine the estimated value relative to the voltage level of physical processes manual material handling. From manual material handling processes that cause the symptoms of musculoskeletal disorder completion technically be done to minimize the effects on workers. keywords:Manual Material Handling, Muskuloskelatal Disorder, Nordic body map,Recomended Weight Limit , Lifting Index.

Models related to the psychophysical capacity of individuals engaged in frequent manual materials handling (MMH) activities are reviewed and evaluated. Predictive models are classified into regression models and fuzzy models. A list of these models is presented in the form of tables for easy access by designers and practitioners of occupational safety and health. Emphasis is placed on information that has become available since the publication of the NIOSH Work Practices Guide for Manual Lifting. Recommendations for future research in modeling the psychophysical capacity of individuals engaged in MMH activities are provided.

Manual materials handling safety training programs typically encourage workers to make judgments regarding manual material handling risk prior to making attempts to perform the task. The objectives of this effort were to determine if: a) perceptions of MMH tasks are consistent with consensus-based lifting hazards, and b) judgments are materially affected by observer age and or gender. Photographs of orthogonally varied levels of horizontal and vertical origin and final position of a 20 Kg box lift at 0.2, 2 and 5 lifts per minute were presented to 50 males and 50 females who were distributed among age decades between 20 and 70 years. Subjects were asked to rate their perceived risk of musculoskeletal injury using magnitude estimation methods. Results showed that subjects, regardless of age, were unable to spatially perceive consensus-based biomechanical indexes of musculoskeletal hazard; this finding held regardless of age group, gender, stature, body mass, prior safe lifting practices training, or history of low back injury.

Manual material handling activities are still widely practiced in various industries, including supermarkets. Various products in supermarkets are moved with hand truck aids. This tool is used to ease of workers to avoid the risk of MSDs (musculoskeletal disorders) and LBP (low back pain). Workers' who concerns about work ergonomics, materials handling tools and their working environments can reduce the risk of MSDs and LBPs. In this paper we will examine how much the workers care about themselves, their tools, environment and their relation to work physiology of workers.Workers' concerns were identified using a Likert scale questionnaire with 5 scale of interest. Self-awareness is linked to an understanding of ergonomics, to hand tools used everyday and to the work environment. Occupational physiology is reflected in the pain experienced by workers as job impacts identified using Nordic Body Map (NBM), and work posture using OWAS (Ovako Working Posture Analysis System). The material handling worker assigned to move the product from supplier vehicle to warehouse or to showroom by hand truck. The survey results that the worker's concerned not so high on his ergonomics. The body map shows that before working the worker felt pain all over his body and got more pain after work. Worker's work posture varies substantially in category 1-2 which means that in this musculoskeletal system the work attitude results in significant tension influences requiring future improvement.

Manual Material Handling (MMH) is a risky activity that causes low back pain and has become a worldwide phenomenon, not only in developed countries, but also occur in developing countries. One effort to reduce the injury caused by MMH is the Reccomended Weight Limit (RWL) equation, published by NIOSH. However, NIOSH equation is more tested and researched in European and America. Therefore, it is necessary adjustment for Indonesia people. In this paper, the author analyze the vertical multiplier factor in NIOSH equation for male workers in Indonesia. Multiplier factor is assessed using three criterias. There are biomechanics, physiology, and psychophysical. The result of this study is form of vertical multiplier equation, i.e VM = 1 - 0.0310083 (68-V) and VM = 1 - 0.00708215 (68-V) for an elevation below the knuckle.

Jaya Launch Pad is a company engaged in educational services. It is undeniable that service sector companies such as Jaya Launch Pad also have a workforce whose work posture may be less ergonomic, which can lead to musculoskeletal disorders. Musculoskeletal disorders can be experienced by people of all ages. Therefore, this study focuses on work posture. This research occurred because of complaints experienced by staff. The number of samples used in this study was 1 person. This was influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic situation so that there was only 1 staff when the observation was made. The research method used was the nordic body map (NBM) to determine which parts of the body are experiencing complaints, and the rapid office strain assessment (ROSA) to measure the risk of injury due to the posture of sitting at a computer for 8 hours. The result is that the complaint assessment using the NBM questionnaire has a score of 52 (needs improvement at a later date) with 4 categories of severe pain, namely back, waist, buttocks, and buttocks. Meanwhile, the score from the ROSA table is 6 which means it is risky / dangerous so that it needs improvement. Therefore, a proposed condition is given in the form of a replacement of work facilities in the form of a work chair with adjustable height and adjustable armrests. This improvement is assumed to be able to reduce the level of staff complaints, and the calculation result of the rapid office strain assessment (ROSA) is 4 which means no risk so that this improvement is accepted and can solve the work posture problem of staff at Jaya Launch Pad.

Occupational safety and health (OSH) issues have become a major concern to many corporations in Malaysia since the enactment of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994. While safety management system has been researched, only limited literatures have given attention to warehousing. The development of effective partnerships between customers and vendors to identify opportunities for enhancing safety management system. Employee safety behaviour in the workplace is crucial in approaching towards safety compliance and safety performance indicators. The main objective was to test the safety behaviour of the workers. Data were collected throughout the warehousing processes of a multinational electronics manufacturer in Malaysia. A questionnaire has been filled-up by the warehousing employees. This study proposes the theory of planned behaviour were to explain the linkage between customer - vendor partnership and safety behaviour. Respondents were questioned partnership with its customers to systematically improve safety behaviour. Usually most of the occupational accident or disease took place in the material handling operations and activities with cargo interface. The findings of this study show that customer-vendor partnership has a significant and positive relationship on safety behaviour. This approach to be examined for improved safety ownership and the possibility that enhancements would become an essential part of the vendor's processes, systems, and culture. This customer-vendor partnership approach will develop safety improvements for next heights of success. SPSS was applied for processing the data. It was found that information dissemination and collaboration with the client are important. Employees should participate in the safety program as required by the clients so as to obtain the merits of high performance workforce.
