This paper aims at measuring the extent of some translation students' competence of grammatical aspect compounds (strings) and their adequacy in rendering them in English. It also tries to establish which strings students tend to mistranslate. The researchers designed a multiple-choice test, using Google form, in which a given Arabic text is provided with four alternatives: one correct answer and three distractors. The test was distributed to students from translation departments at Yarmouk University and the German Jordanian University enrolled in the second semester, 2020 via the E-learning systems. Responses of students (202 out of 300 from YU and 63 out of 86 from GJU) were collected in tables. The researchers used One-way ANOVA and Scheffe Test to analyze the data. The paper has concluded that there are no significant differences among students with regard to gender, study plan, level of study, and taking Arabic courses traditionally taught. However, students joining Yarmouk University and the German-Jordan University from international and private schools are better than those coming from public schools. The majority of students do not have problems with the simple present and simple future and their perfective and progressive aspects, nor do they with past perfect. However, they confuse the perfective and progressive aspects of the simple present and the simple past. Keywords: Grammatical aspects, Arabic grammar, English grammar, Translation Yarmouk University, German-Jordanian University.

The major limitation for adopting e-learning systems is students and teachers perceptions of such applications. EduWave is a system implemented in Jordan, to be used by teachers, students and other stakeholders in public schools in the country. This study tried to contrast the perceptions of students and teachers and conclude to future agenda for improving the success chances of such systems. The research utilized results from two empirical studies, with 2 surveys applied to both teachers and students to probe their opinions regarding the obstacles facing EduWave utilization, the advantages and disadvantages of the system, the functionalities used, and the factors influencing the adoption. Results supported the original Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), with significant prediction of intentions to use EduWave through perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use for both teachers and students. Also, teachers and students results did not support the role of trust in the process. Conclusions and future work are stated at the end.

Abstract: Research on the application of e-learning in Extraordinary Schools (SLB) aims to increase the motivation and interest in learning for blind children. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods. A qualitative approach is an approach that is used to obtain data in more depth so that it can be used to develop theories and describe the reality and complexity of the phenomenon under study. The results of this study are the effectiveness of the application of e-learning in the form of a speech dictionary that is tailored to the needs of blind children. Novelty or novelty in this study is the application of e-learning for blind children. E-Learning has been applied to special schools and public schools, but its application is less adapted to the needs of Children with Special Needs (ABK). This research resulted in a novelty in the form of the application of e-learning tailored to the needs of special needs children, especially for blind children Abstrak: Penelitian mengenai penerapan e-learning pada Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan minat belajar anak tunanetra. This paper discusses the challenges of covid-19 ethics on students’ learning of chemistry in secondary schools in Anambra State and how to harness the challenges. Three research questions and one null hypothesis guided the study. A descriptive survey design was used. Three hundred (300) SS3 chemistry students drawn from 45 secondary schools out of 258 public schools in Anambra State formed the sample for the study. Twenty (20) item structured questionnaires on a four-point rating scale developed by the researchers were used for data collection. A reliability coefficient of 0.85 was established using Cronbach Alpha techniques. After the administration of the instrument to the respondents, the data obtained were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research question and z-test to test the null hypothesis at the significance level of 0.05. The results obtained showed that male chemistry students have greater challenges on covid-19 ethics than their female counterparts. They are faced with the following challenges of covid-19 ethics that hinder the inculcation of chemistry learning. Lack of interest in STEM education (chemistry) due to persistence lockdown, lack of E-learning abilities, lack of ICT knowledge, lack of computer or android phone to study at home and tired of being locked indoors. There is no significance difference between male and female chemistry students’ level on covid-19 ethics in the learning of chemistry in Anambra State. It was recommended that students should be encouraged to develop interest in chemistry, have access to ICT gadgets and computers, engage in E-learning abilities and inculcate more study habit at home. This should help the government and chemistry teachers to assist in ameliorating the predicaments in STEM education.

With the rapid technology development, today’s educational systems are obliged to include ICT in the educational processes. Sangra et al (2012) states e-learning represents a broad combination of processes, content, and infrastructure to use computers and networks to improve necessary parts of the learning value chain. In that regard, during the last two decades in the Republic of Macedonia there has been a constant engagement and resource allocation related to the introduction of ICT in the education process. For this purpose, various projects have been implemented at all levels of learning and teaching. Some of the projects were boosted with international support but many other were supported by national relevant institutions aiming to become a digitalized society and entirely introduce ICT in the education sector. This way all necessary legal provisions were adopted, which is the case of adoption of the needed laws and national strategies to introduce this new concept and thus establish the path towards digital education. Moreover, all primary and secondary public schools in the country were equipped with computers, provided software tools for school subjects, organized trainings for teachers and offered interactive on-line teaching and interactive teaching and assessment methods. The idea of this study is to assess and see the overall situation of e-learning in the secondary education in the country, evaluate its use and reflect the actual situation of e-learning use by looking at different demographic categories.
