This study aims to analyze the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership as a stimulus factor for tax avoidance and to see the existence of a political relationship as a moderating variable in the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership on tax avoidance. This research was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2017-2019. In this study, the sample was determined based on the purposive sampling technique with the criteria that the sample company was manufacture listed on the IDX for three consecutive years from 2017-2019, published an annual report in the 2017-2019 period sequentially, did not experience delisting, was not a company the IPO in 2018-2019, did not experience any losses and did not have an ETR value of more than 1. The research sample was obtained from as many as 138 companies with 3 years of observation. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis (Multiple Regression Analysis) and Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA) using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program. The results showed (I) executive characteristics had a significant positive effect on tax avoidance (II) family ownership had a significant negative effect on tax avoidance (III) political connections were not able to strengthen the executive's positive influence on tax avoidance (IV) political connections weakened family ownership on tax avoidance. This study can also show that the sample companies tend to comply with tax rules, they avoid sanctions and fines, and consider the risk of loss that must be faced by the company when proven to do tax avoidance.

This study addresses the relationship of disability with principal lifetime occupation in the elderly. Daily function, cognitive, and physical health variables were assessed in an Italian population of 524 community-dwelling elders aged seventy and over. Farmers had 1.4 (95% C.I.: 0.6 to 2.2) instrumental daily functions lost higher than white-collar workers. Adjustment for age, education, and financial dissatisfaction with multiple linear regression analysis decreased the difference to a still significant figure of 0.9 (95% C.I.: 0.1 to 1.7). On the contrary, adjustment only for cognitive status resulted in complete disappearance of the association [0.2 functions lost (95% C.I.: −0.5 to 0.9)]. The data indicate that greater disability in the most disadvantaged occupational groups may be due to poorer cognition.

In order to supply a scientific basis for uniting the normal reference value standard of hemoglobin of Chinese older boys. Methods: A research is made about the relationship between the normal reference value of 14751 examples of hemoglobin of older boys and five geographical factors in 92 areas in China, which are determined by the hemoglobincyanide method. Results: It is found that the correlation of geographical factors and the normal reference value of hemoglobin of older boys are quite significant (F = 9.68). By using the method of multiple linear regression analysis, one regression equation is inferred: Ŷ = 108.0 + 0.003633X1 + 0.003945X2 + 0.1680X3 − 0.6310X4 + 0.005518X5 ± 8.3 Conclusion: If geographical values are obtained in some areas, the normal reference value of hemoglobin of older boys of this area can be reckoned by using the regression equation. Furthermore, the depending on the geographical factors, China can be divided into six districts: Qingzang, Southwest, Northwest, Southeast, North and Northeast district.

PurposeThe purpose of this article is to highlight the relevance of the factors that influence the satisfaction of e-commerce consumers in Romania and Moldova. The study aims to clearly define the main influence factors, so that the marketing managers of the online stores can adopt scientific well-founded decisions.Design/methodology/approachThe paper opted for a study including a large sample of 399 respondents from two countries. For the analysis of the factors influencing the e-commerce satisfaction, multiple linear regression analysis was implemented, and their differentiation within the two countries was highlighted by multivariate analysis of variance.FindingsThe research conducted and the results obtained show that there is a differentiation of the factors that influence the level of satisfaction of e-commerce users in Romania and Moldova.Research limitations/implicationsThe research is still limited in terms of population studied to only two countries: Romania and Moldova. Although the study is intended to be exhaustive by analyzing no less than 11 factors influencing the satisfaction generated by e-commerce, it is still limited to this group of representative factors. Another limitation has to do with the limited number of demographic variables the authors have included.Practical implicationsBased on the results, the managerial implications for e-commerce companies that want to uniquely address consumers in Romania and Moldova are related to the decisions of marketing and sales managers who must allocate budgets and resources to improve the eight aspects highlighted in the paper. Also, the e-commerce companies should not allocate resources for the implementation of functionalities such as in-app after sales services, the possibility to cancel an order or the live consultant support feature, because these aspects do not influence the satisfaction of e-commerce consumers in Romania and Moldova.Originality/valueThis paper is the first in the scientific literature that implements a comparative study on the influence factors regarding the e-commerce satisfaction in Romania and Moldova. Also, it is important to mention that the present study is an exhaustive one because it includes many influence factors that were analyzed separately in the previous research papers from literature review.

Housing and settlements is fundamental human need to do daily activities for the survival of mankind. The community in determining the location of settlements have basic considerations that affect them in choosing a location for a settlement. The basic consideration is composed of several factors, including accessibility, environment, job opportunities, level of service, in addition to psychological factors, socioeconomic factors and historical cultural factors. Basically the location of settlements or housing are not allowed on the mountain slopes are potentially landslide disaster. Landslide that is threatening the survival of human beings who lived in the area. The danger of a disaster is a natural or artificial phenomena which have the potential to threaten human life, loss of property and damage to the environment. The area of the slopes of Mount Lawu which has a dense contour and topography make settlement patterns that are located in the area most are clumped as well as the distance between one another with their distance. There are several factors that affect the formation of settlement patterns, namely economic, cultural, institutional and customs. The issue of this study is to examine how the influence factors of settlement in the area of landslide-prone Magetan against pattern of settlement that is formed in the area. This study discusses the characteristics of the factor pattern of distribution in the community, the establishment of settlements and the influence factors of settlement against the spread pattern of settlement in the area of the landslide-prone Magetan by using multiple linear regression analysis. The community has its own considerations against the selection of the location of the settlement which made slopes be settled and be against the formation of settlement patterns in the Poncol Districts and Plaosan Districts which located on the slopes of Mount Lawu. Of research results obtained in the area of community based factors prone to landslide has no influence on the pattern of the spread of settlements that was formed in the area.

One of the causes of the energy crisis is that the number of people is positively correlated with increased consumption of energy, especially fuel and electricity. The need for energy sources, especially for household purposes such as cooking, can be fulfilled by using LPG gas and firewood, as is well known, the LPG and firewood have been used by households in Indonesia since a long time. The variables that affect the use of LPG and firewood by households are "per capita GRDP", poor population, total area, number of islands, forests, and waters. By using multiple linear regression analysis, the prediction of the effect of these variables on the use of LPG and firewood can be obtained. Accuracy results obtained are 64% for both types of fuel. Meanwhile, the completeness of the data and the addition of other variables can improve the results of prediction accuracy.
