Abstract Background The healthcare system in Pakistan is facing a shortage of human resources and appropriate and sustainable financial measures and therefore fails to provide optimum services to the population of Pakistan. Furthermore, research is limited in the healthcare institutes; therefore, there is a scarcity of information about patient satisfaction with pharmacists and pharmacy services in Pakistan. As evident from the inadequate information in the literature, patients’ opinions about the pharmacy services in Pakistan are important [1]. Therefore, the current study was designed to assess patient satisfaction with the pharmacy performance of the outpatient pharmacy and its variation with socio-demographic characteristics in twin cities of Pakistan (Rawalpindi and Islamabad). Method A cross-sectional study design was used to assess the patient satisfaction through convenience sampling technique. Minimum sample size of 250 respondents who visit pharmacy department of public and private hospital for pharmaceutical care were included in this study. A pre validated tool was used to assess the patient satisfaction. Data was clean coded and import into spss for analysis. Descriptive and inferential statistic was applied to calculate frequency, standard deviation, mean deviation and p value to find the association among different domain of patient satisfaction with different demographic characteristics of respondents. Result Current study shows overall patients were satisfied from pharmacy services provided by government and private hospitals. Furthermore patient satisfaction towards pharmacist medication advice was very good however patient satisfaction towards pharmacist approach was good while patient perception with pharmacy setting, drug availability and cost were underrated. Significance difference (p ≤ 0.05) was observed in pharmacist’s approach with different gender, age groups and qualification. No significant difference (p ≥ 0.05) was observed in pharmacy setting drug availability and cost with different gender, age groups and marital status of respondents. However Significance difference (p ≤ 0.05) was observed in pharmacy setting drug availability and cost with different level of education patients with less education had better satisfaction as compared to highly educated respondents. Furthermore Significance difference (p ≤ 0.05) was observed in pharmacy setting drug availability and cost with occupation. Self-employee and government employee had low satisfaction score while other had better satisfactory score. Significance difference (p ≤ 0.05) was observed in pharmacist’s approach with different gender, age groups and qualification. Females had better satisfactory score as compared to female. Younger age group had better satisfaction as compared to elderly. Patients belong to higher educational groups had better satisfaction toward pharmacist approach as compared to low qualification groups respondents. Furthermore No significant difference (p ≥ 0.05) was observed in pharmacist’s approach with marital status and number of visits Conclusion Current study concluded that overall patient had average satisfaction score. Patients shows a better satisfaction towards pharmacist behavior/ way of handling the patients, information provided by pharmacist regarding medicine. Patient had less satisfaction towards the location of pharmacy, Availability and affordability of medicine. Patient shows negative satisfaction regarding waiting area and counselling area at in door patient pharmacy. It has been observed that educated respondents shows high level of satisfaction towards pharmacist availability and information provided by the pharmacist.

Abstract Introduction The COVID-19 pandemic has witnessed an increased reliance on telemedicine. Patient satisfaction is a key indicator of whether telephone consultations deliver high-quality care. This study evaluates patient perceptions of telephone consultations conducted in a single plastic surgery outpatient department. Method Structured telephone interviews using an adapted Telehealth Usability Questionnaire and the NHS Friends and Family Test were conducted in 98 patients who had undergone outpatient telephone consultations with a plastic surgeon. 13 questions explored domains of usefulness, interaction quality, reliability, patient satisfaction, and future use of telehealth. Results 72 of 98 (73%) completed the survey. Male(49):Female(23). Mean age 59 (range 17-91). 50.4% Strongly agreed (SA) and 24.3% agreed (A) to questions addressing usefulness of the platform. For interaction quality; 63% SA and 21% A. 47% disagreed with questions pertaining to reliability. Overall, 75% were either SA/A for satisfaction and 81% would use telehealth again. No significant difference was found in domain scores when comparing sex or age groups. Conclusions Overall, patient perceptions were positive towards the usefulness and interaction quality of telephone consultations. However, reliability scored poorly. Most patients were satisfied with the care provided. Comparison to other telehealth mediums e.g. video consultation and patient safety studies are needed.

Cardiovascular diseases, one of the important health problems of our day, seriously threaten human health. For this reason, it is very important to raise awareness about cardiovascular health from childhood and to develop behaviors accordingly. The aim of this study is to find out cardiovascular health awareness in students between the ages of 7 and 16 during the pandemic. 216 students continuing their education in the city centre of Sivas, Turkey participated in the study. A survey form on socio-demographic characteristics of the students and Children’s Cardiovascular Health Promotion Attitude Scale (CCHPAS) were used in the study. Demographic characteristics were collected online with a 9-question form. KMO value (0.741) was found to be moderate. Bartlett Sphericity test (p=0.00) was found to be significant. The fact that these two values are significant shows that the survey is suitable for factor analysis. 4 factors were determined as a result of factor analysis. These 4 factors explain 60% of the variance. No statistically significant difference was found in both total scale and 4 factors in terms of gender (p>0.05). While no statistically significant difference was found for the first factor in terms of the state of having social media account (p>0.05), significant difference was found for the other factors and total scale score (p<0.05). It was also examined whether there were differences between factors and total scale score in terms of age groups, and while no statistically significant difference was found in terms of Factor 1, Factor 2 and Factor 4 (p>0.05), difference was found in terms of Factor 3 and total scale scores (p<0.05). Urinary schistosomiasis is a severe threat to global health with uncountable morbidities in Africa including Nigeria where control interventions focused on children in public and private schools neglecting Almajiri children. This undermined control interventions as those infected contaminate the environments with infective stages of the parasite. The objective of the study was to identify the prevalence of urinary schistosomiasis amongst Almajiri children in Silame, Sokoto State, North-western Nigeria. This was a cross-sectional descriptive study, socio-demographic data was collected in April 2020 on 206 consented Almajiri children in Silame and their urine samples were examined using the sedimentation method. The study showed a prevalence of 35.4% among the Almajiri children in Silame, Sokoto State, North-western Nigeria. The highest prevalence was found among children within the age range 16-20 years (63.6%) while the lowest prevalence was among those in the age range 6-10 years (24.4%). There was a statistically significant difference in the occurrence of urinary schistosomiasis between the age groups (χ 2 = 11.637a , df =3, p=0.002). Urinary schistosomiasis was prevalent among Almajiri children in the study area and parasite infection was associated with the participant's socio-demographic factors such as age, level of education, and water contact activities. Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has led to changes to in-office orthopedic care, with a rapid shift to telemedicine. Institutions’ lack of established infrastructure for these types of visits has posed challenges requiring attention to confidentiality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze the feasibility of telemedicine in orthopedics during the pandemic and its effect on efficiency and patient satisfaction. Methods: Patients seen by the Emory University Department of Orthopaedics Sports Medicine and Upper Extremity Divisions via telemedicine from March 23 to April 24, 2020, were contacted by telephone. Each patient was asked to respond to questions on satisfaction, ease of use, and potential future use; satisfaction with telemedicine and previous clinical visits were measured using a modified 5-point Likert scale. Results: Of the 762 patients seen, 346 (45.4%) completed the telemedicine questionnaire. Satisfaction varied by visit type, with average scores of 4.88/5 for in-office clinic visits versus 4.61/5 for telemedicine visits. There was no significant difference among age groups for satisfaction ratings. Patients 65 years old or older reported significantly longer visit times and decreased ease of use with the telemedicine platform. Conclusion: Telemedicine in a large orthopedics department was successfully implemented without compromising patient satisfaction. The use of telemedicine allows many patients to be seen quickly and efficiently without diminishing their musculoskeletal clinical experience.

The aim of the research is to examine the leisure management, attitudes and behaviors of the students studying at Kilis 7 September University. With the study, determining the current attitudes and behaviors of the students, Creating resources for the relevant units at the national and international level, especially the province of Kilis and Kilis 7 September University, reveals the importance of the research. Age, gender, marital status, class, academic units and leisure activity days per week of 387 students participating in the study were examined in order to determine their leisure management. According to the age variable, It was understood that 220 students aged 18-20 (56.8%) , 148 students aged 21-23 (38.2%), 12 students aged 24-25 (3.1%), and 7 students aged 26 and over(1.8%) were participated in the study. It was understood that there were 222 women (57.4%) and 165 men (42.6%) according to the gender variable and 380 single people(98.2%) and 7 married people(1.8%) according to their marital status. Between the leisure management sub-dimensions and the gender variable,it was observed that there was no significant difference in the goal setting and programming sub-dimensions of male and female students.However, It was found that there was a significant difference in their leisure time attitude and evaluation sub-dimensions. It is seen that there is no significant difference between the sub-dimensions of the scale and age groups in goal setting and method programming and sub-dimensions, while there is a significant difference in the sub-dimension of leisure time attitude. It is seen that there is no significant difference between the sub-dimensions of the scale and age groups in programming and evaluation sub-dimensions, and there is a significant difference in the sub-dimensions of goal setting and method and leisure time attitude. It was understood that there was no significant difference in programming sub-dimension between academic unit groups It is seen that there is a significant difference in other sub-dimensions, which are the sub-dimensions of goal setting and method, leisure time attitude and evaluation. Between the sub-dimensions of the scale and the days when students participated in leisure time activities, It was observed that there was no significant difference in the sub-dimensions of their leisure time attitude and programming. <b><i>Introduction:</i></b> Patients with hemifacial spasm (HFS) experience improvement in symptoms after microvascular decompression (MVD); however, patient satisfaction is sometimes low. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between residual spasms and patient satisfaction, identify factors affecting satisfaction, and investigate the degree of improvement in spasms which result in patient satisfaction after surgery. <b><i>Methods:</i></b> 297 patients who completed a questionnaire after MVD for HFS between March 2020 and June 2020 were included. Information on surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction was collected using the questionnaire, and their relationships were analyzed. <b><i>Results:</i></b> Among the 297 patients, the mean residual spasm percentage and patient satisfaction score were negatively correlated with 14.0% and 8.8 points, respectively. In addition to residual spasms, discomfort caused by persistent spasms, psychological problem-solving, better social life, and interpersonal relationship improvement were associated with satisfaction. There was no significant association between the presence of complications and satisfaction. There was no significant difference in the satisfaction score at up to 30% residual spasm, and the patients with 0–30% residual spasm had a satisfaction score of 7 points or higher. <b><i>Conclusion:</i></b> Residual spasms and discomfort from residual spasms decreased patient satisfaction after MVD for HFS. It is then necessary to perform accurate surgical resolution to improve surgical outcomes and provide adequate management to reduce postoperative discomfort and anxiety, and ultimately to enhance satisfaction. Residual spasms of up to 30% compared with the preoperative severity can be considered a good outcome when evaluating surgical outcomes.

Background and objectives: Although suicide is the act of an individual, it is an important public health problem that affects the individual's environment and also society. Approximately 800,000 people die by suicide each year. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the socio-demographic characteristics of fatal suicides in Turkey between 2015 and 2019. Materials and methods: This observational-analytical study was conducted by examining retrospec-tive records in the period 2015–2019. The study was conducted by secondary analysis based on data from the Turkish Statistical Institute. Results: During the study period, the suicide rate (per 100,000) varied in the range 3.94–4.15 and the mean (standard deviation, SD) was 4.07 (0.09). The mean (SD) suicide rate was 6.14 (0.13) in males and 1.99 (0.18) in females; it was higher in males (z = 2.611; p = 0.008). Considering age groups, there was no difference between sex in terms of suicide rate among those aged <19 years (z = 1.617; p = 0.446), whereas the suicide rate was higher in males and in those aged ≥20 years (p < 0.05 for each). During the study period, the most common suicide mean in both men and women was "by hanging". The incidence of suicide using chemical substances and by jumping from a height was higher in women than in men, whereas the rate of suicide using firearms was high in men (p = 0.000). When the female/male suicide rate was compared according to marital status, the suicide rate was observed to be higher in men regardless of marital status, and this difference was more striking in men who were divorced or whose spouse had died. Conclusion: Between 2015 and 2019, the suicide rate was higher especially in older men and in those who had lost a spouse. Therefore, socio-demographic characteristics should be considered in planning interventions to prevent suicides and guiding rehabilitation programs following a suicide attempt.

The study aims to analyses the prevalence of the Polish adult population in cycling in terms of their socio-demographic characteristics. This can make an important contribution to the dissemination of this environmentally, socially and economically sustainable form of physical activity, and in building national recommendations. The study was based on the representative data from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Poland from five large-scale surveys in years 2014-2018. The sample comprised 7,347 Poles aged 15-69. In each survey long version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire was used. The independence tests and non-parametric test were applied to search for statistically significant difference between the studied variables. In order to capture relationships between commuter cycling prevalence and a set of explanatory variables, a predictive model was built. The prevalence of the Polish adult population in commuting by bicycle systematically increases (in 2014 ̶ 16.3%; in 2015 ̶ 17.4%; in 2016 – 21.5%; in 2017 ̶ 19.9%; in 2018 ̶ 29.8%). The average energy expenditure of this effort is also increasing. Poles most often cycle 1-3 times a week (17.7% once a week; 23% ̶ twice a week; 18.2% ̶ 3 times a week). There are no statistical differences in this regard, neither by the number of cycling days nor by the gender. Hierarchically, the most important factor in determining whether someone does or does not commute by bike, is age. People who are the most probable to cycle are those aged 15-29 (30%), and among them, people living in villages (35%), with primary education (42.6%). In the 30-59 age group, 20.6% are active. They are usually from the countryside (24.3%), mostly women (27%). Among people aged 60 or more, 14.2% cycle. Most often they are men (17.3%). National recommendations should be developed for individual age groups. Educational and motivational programs (scope depending on age), practical classes increasing the self-confidence of bicycle traffic participants and activities improving the bicycle infrastructure (including the implementation of intermodal transport) are necessary.

Abstract Background: An increasing number of breast cancer cases and associated mortality due to delayed diagnosis warrants improved methods to provide a timely and convenient breast cancer screening experience.Objective: To study the impact of same appointment mammogram results on breast cancer screening experience and patient satisfaction.Materials and methods: A 6-question survey with questions focused on breast cancer screening experience with our new service of same appointment mammogram results was distributed to 200 patients, with 185 patients returning their responses. Patients evaluated their current experience on receiving their screening results during the same appointment with their prior breast cancer screening experience. Patients who did not respond to their satisfaction score either before or after same appointment results were excluded from the patient cohort analyzing satisfaction score. Remaining questions were analyzed separately as additional satisfaction assessment tools.Results: About 48% of the patients indicated an improvement in their screening experience with same appointment mammography results service, while 47% of the patients reported no significant difference in their experience.Conclusion: Although not statistically significant, same appointment mammogram results were able to make a positive impact on breast cancer screening experience among 48% of the patients. Further research elucidating barriers to screening and other ways to improve patient satisfaction will be required to increase breast cancer screening compliance.

The purpose of this study is to determine the job satisfaction levels of employees of sports federation and general directorate of sport, and to analyze according to some variables. “Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire” was used to determine the job satisfaction levels of employees. Since the data didn’t fulfill the parametric assumptions, nonparametric Kruskall-Wallis and Man-Whitney U tests were used on the analysis according to job satisfaction levels. According to results of analysis, 98.8% of employees’ job satisfaction levels are medium and high. It was revealed that there is a statistically significant difference between employees’ general job satisfaction, internal and external sub-dimension points according to age groups, marital status, situation of selecting their jobs willingly and educational level. As a result; it was seen in terms of general job satisfaction and internal satisfaction that internal satisfaction levels of employees who are 40 or more in comparison with employees who are between 22-40 age groups, internal satisfaction levels of employees whose marital status are married in comparison with employees whose marital status are single, general satisfaction and internal satisfaction levels of employees who selected their job willingly and general, internal and external satisfaction levels of employees whose education levels are associate degree in comparison with employees whose education levels are bachelor’s degree and postgraduate are higher.
