The relevance of the study determines the interest of modern literary criticism in various forms of artistic understanding of ethnographic realities by Russian writers in Manchuria in the first half of the 20th century (literary ethnography). The novelty of the research lies in the study of the lyrical experiments of literary ethnography. The research problem is to determine the specificity of the lyrical method of ethnographic reflection and the creation of an image of artistic perception. The research methodology is based on the structural and semantic analysis of prose texts by Larissa Andersen, addressed to ethnographic material. The authors explore the methods of creating her artistic images of perception of China, Korea, and Japan through the analysis of narrative strategies, the system of image-concepts, and archetypal images of a foreign culture. Research methods: historical-literary, structural-semantic, method of mythological reconstructions, comparative analysis of the translation with the original. The authors state that the literary ethnography of the Far East in various genre and stylistic forms is developing in the literature of the Far Eastern emigration. The most convincing experiences of artistic ethnography, scientific and artistic beginnings are balanced, presented in the narratives of scientific writers N. Baikov and P.Shkurkin, and later genre modifications of M. Shcherbakov, V. Mart, B. Yulsky, focused on research and book experience. Lyrical reflection of ethnographic material has its own specifics. The authors compared the experiences of creating ethnographic lyrics and prose by Larissa Andersen and came to the following conclusions: despite the lack of well-founded scientific knowledge, in her ethnographic essays, on the one hand, her individual ability to comprehend the essence of the observed phenomenon and capture the artistic image of the perception of another culture in capacious detail-concept (mythologeme, characteristic, ethno-stereotype, meta-image), on the other hand, there is an interest in Chinese literary sources and ethnographic texts of predecessors (S. Alymova and others). A characteristic technique for creating an artistic image of perception in essays is the form of personal “narration”, bringing the point of view of the perceiving consciousness of the author and the reader closer together. Keywords: literary ethnography, poetic ethnographism, image of perception, literature of the Far Eastern emigration, Russian Harbin

This article discusses the problem of the lack of an artistic image of objects of this type. The analysis of aesthetic and ergonomic parameters in similar product models. Three artistic images of a portable speaker were selected corresponding to the main function of the designed product. For each artistic image, a conceptual design of the product body was created. Using a comparative analysis, the most promising outline solution of the case was determined from the point of view of aesthetic qualities and compliance with the main function of the product. An experimental prototyping of the design object was carried out using sculpted plasticine and foam, followed by an assessment of potential users and refinement of the shape of the product’s body and the location of its components. The result of the study was the layout of a portable bionic column speaker. The object has a spectacular appearance due to the bright image of the octopus tentacle, and also corresponds to aesthetic and ergonomic parameters.

S.N. Syromyatnikov, whose views are commonly referred to as orientalism, repeatedly dwelled on historical tasks, the mission of Russia in the Far East. The most important direction of Russias foreign policy in this region was to become rapprochement with Asia, since by uniting with the Far Eastern countries, it could successfully resist Europe. China had to be at the center of Russias eastern policy, and Russias main task was to play the role of patroness and cultural counselor, protecting the eastern neighbor from European countries and Japan. The attitude towards the East and the understanding of Russias tasks in Asia was largely determined through the rejection of everything from the West. A special task was assigned to the Russian population of the eastern borderlands, in which S.N. Syromyatnikov saw a special potential for the development of Russia and strengthening of its position in Asia. The East was perceived by S.N. Syromyatnikov as a germ of a new Russia, to which he found a lot of evidence in the relationship between Russian and indigenous eastern peoples. Therefore, in S.N. Syromyatnikovs point of view, to ensure the historical future of Russia it was necessary to concentrate the main efforts in the East.

The demographic aspect of the development of the largest macro-region in the country remains among its key problems for a long time. At the present stage of the implementation of the new economic policy in relation to the Far East, the federal authorities pay increased attention to the problem of the annually shrinking population. The goal of building up the demographic potential, stopping the migration outflow and attracting new residents to the territory of the Far Eastern regions by improving the quality of life is central to many strategic documents. So, in 2017, the Concept of the demographic policy of the Far East for the period up to 2025 was adopted. In 2020, the National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Far East for the period until 2024 and for the future until 2035 was approved. At the same time, despite the active work in the development and adoption of strategic documents and the implantation of various kinds of institutional innovations, the real socio-demographic situation in the macroregion significantly differs from the formed expectations. The article analyzes the two indicated documents from the point of view of achieving the parameters declared in them. The main attention is paid to the first stage of the implementation of the Concept of Demographic Policy, which fell on the period 2017-2020. It is concluded that the adopted strategic documents have not yet led to the achievement of the planned results. Thus, the actual socio-demographic indicators during the implementation of the first stage of the Concept of Demographic Policy lagged significantly behind the planned values, while an annual increase in the gap between them was noted. A significant deterioration in the situation occurred in 2020, when a new coronavirus infection spread in Russia and the world. Considering that the unfavorable situation persists and the third wave of morbidity is currently observed, there is a high likelihood of a further increase in the gap between the planned and actual results, which requires adjusting the measures and indicators laid down in the documents of the strategic development of the macroregion.

The article presents an analysis of the demographic situation of the border and priority geostrategic territories of the Russian Far East, identified in the «Strategy of Spatial Development of the Russian Federation until 2025». The main problem of the Far Eastern geostrategic territories of the country is depopulation, which is both a factor that slows down the socio-economic development of the macroregion and a trend that can lead to threats to national security. The latter may be most significant for the sparsely populated and almost uninhabited Far Eastern territories located both in the south of the Far East (especially along the border with China) and in the north of the macroregion along the Northern Sea Route, in the development of which not only Russia but also some foreign countries, primarily China, are interested. The analysis was carried out using the database «Municipal Russia», which summarizes demographic statistics for all urban districts and municipal districts of the country, including those located on geostrategic territories. The results of the analysis showed that even in relatively prosperous regions from a demographic point of view, where since 2010 There is an increase in the population, in their border areas (Republic of Buryatia) or Arctic coastal areas (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)). In municipalities, the already small population is usually declining, which can create threats to demographic security for the entire Russian Federation. To solve this problem, it is necessary to organize monitoring of the dynamics and ethnic composition of the population, the development of special measures of demographic and migration policy
