One of the final requirements in academic education for students is to conduct scientific research as outlined in the form of a final thesis. The large number of students taking research courses, makes the Accounting Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Mercu Buana University difficult to monitor the implementation of the thesis in every semester. With this problem, the researcher aims to build an information system to monitor the thesis that can record all the processes from the beginning of choosing the topic, taking the thesis exam and the graduation done by students. The urgent need for the development of a thesis monitoring information system is the reason for choosing a method of developing Rapid Application Development (RAD), so that the wishes of the Head of Accounting Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Mercu Buana University can be fulfilled immediately. The RAD stage that has been carried out is the requirement gathering stage which covers the needs of the operational environment, functional requirements, information needs, and interface requirements. The design phase consists of conceptual schema design, database design and interface design. The result of this research is a thesis monitoring system which has been tested and applied to the Accounting Study Program at Mercu Buana University. This system helps for both students in thesis consultation and the head of accounting in monitoring thesis students effectively and efficiently.

The design of the Information Systems Application System for Employee Work Target Compilation (SKP) is based on the method of evaluating civil servant work performance systematically combining the Civil Service Employee Work Target assessment with work behavior assessment. Performance appraisal consists of two elements, namely SKP and Work Behavior, with an assessment weighting of SKP elements at 60% and work behavior at 40%. From the depiction of the service mechanism at the KEMKUMHAM Aceh, an integrated information system is needed to assemble the existing subsystems into a mutually supportive unit given the still not optimal role of the computerized system in the existing service mechanism. The purpose of this study was to design an Information System for Employee Job Target Compilation (SKP) Application at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Ham Aceh using Visual BASIC.NET. The design of the system used by the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, a software development process model classified as incremental (multilevel) techniques. RAD emphasizes short, short, and fast development cycles, and data collection techniques using research methods by observation, interview, and literature study. The tools used are Microsoft Visual Basic .NET as an application in interface design and Microsoft Office Access as a DBMS. The test results of this application are the systems that are built already meet the needs, the input data process has met the needs and the resulting report has met the needs. Keywords:Information Systems, SKP, Visual Basic .NET.

The Development of Portal Elektro Information System is carried out to create solutions for administrative problems related to Internship and Final Project, especially students, lecturers, and Electrical Engineering staff. Moreover it is an effort to improve the quality of the system to be more innovative and support the needs of Electrical Engineering study program. The System of Portal Elektro covers student needs to carry out internship or final project, starting from implementation guidelines, proposal writing, until becomes final report. This information system is developed with Rapid Application Development method, and use Laravel framework with the concept of MVC (Model, View, Controller) which can separate application based on application components, such as: manipulation data, controller, and user interface. With the RAD method and Laravel framework, application development can be done quickly and structured making it easier for further development in the future. The developed system has been successfully tested and applied in the Electrical Engineering study program at UNS and is planned to be implemented in several other study programs.

The article describes technological approaches used to create distributed information systems supporting scientific research. Architectural solutions intended to create such systems and principles for integrating these systems with external sources are considered. Functional requirements for the model of scientific information system (SIS), conditioned, firstly, by the researchers’ information needs, and secondly, by the necessity to ensure a reliable and longterm storage of information, are determined. Rules for presenting and transforming metadata are examined.

This paper presents a functional analysis of the information needs of a chemical company for its response to hazardous material spills. An information system model, which formed the framework for this analysis, is presented. The analysis identified data requirements to support decision making and functional requirements to support communication of these decisions to the involved people and agencies. These requirements were compared to the existing system to identify current limitations. Potential solutions for overcoming these limitations are discussed.

As a producer of lettuce plants, the company X (as a case object)  needs to improve the information system more effectively and efficiently in order to support the increase of production. Therefore, it is necessary to build a management information system that provides information quickly and accurately. The implementation of this research using Waterfall Method. This research begins with the analysis of the needs of all users, then designing data flow diagrams, designing databases using SQL, entity relationship diagrams, normalization, the latter is the design of information structures including user interfaces. After that done programming activities using PHP programming language. This app is verified and validated. The information needs of the company are as follows: There are four parties as users of the information system; Information should be submitted and accessible as soon as possible; The manager can view the information of each division; To each division and vice versa; Managers can monitor the service level of marketing division and division of production; Each division can manage data; There needs to be model information about the agenda of each division. The app provides a shared menu for admins and users. Users are managers, marketing divisions, production divisions, and home packaging divisions. Each user has the same menu ie homepage, schedule, and reports. As for the manager plus menu monitoring. The final application prototype gives users satisfactory results. Each user is also given a menu to manage the database with features: inserting, searching, editing, and deleting data. The database comes with a dynamic and flexible user interface as a medium of data exchange and information between relevant divisions and media support in decision-making at the managerial level. Keywords— lettuce production,  lettuce production database, production information system

The use of SMS-Gateway technology as an academic information system media in a school still has shortcomings in terms of the fees charged to schools. This makes the burden itself for a school that does not cooperate with the service provider of the SMS service. To overcome this, academic information systems based on mobile phones need to be developed. This study aims to build an academic information system based on the Android operating system on smartphones. Smartphone technology is the best solution now in making it easy to spread information. This study uses the Rapid Application Development method to build an Android-based academic information system called SisAkOne, by testing the software using the black box method. The results showed the use of RAD methods can be used to build information systems properly and in accordance with the functional requirements of the system.

This study aims to determine the description of needs, data flow design, database design, and design of information systems administration interfaces PSTIK study program. The research used descriptive method with research form that is survey research. Research subjects are staff, leadership of study program and 60 students of study program. Data analysis technique is to describe the data collected. The results show that the administrative information system consists of seminars and theses, lecturer journals, incoming and outgoing letters, and reports that are tailored to functional requirements, interface needs, and performance needs. The flow of information system data consists of two entities ie students and staff. Students have 6 inflows and outflows, while staff has 10 inflows and outflows. The information system database consists of 16 entities with 8 interrelated relations. The information system interface is divided into two pages. The student page consists of 6 pages, while the staff page consists of three pages.

The information system of classroom division is a process done by Junior HighSchool 9 Palangka Raya to divide the students into several classes. In this process schoolsare still using manual methods. To support the system in the division of the classes to bebetter, then the information system of classroom division using k-means clusteringmethod by website based on Junior High School 9 Palangka Raya was made. This classroom divide information system uses the waterfall method. In this methodseveral steps to build software, namely: Requirements Definition, System and SoftwareDesign, Implementation and Unit Testing, Integration and System Testing and Operationand Maintenance. Creating a Data Flow Diagram (DFD). Entity Relationship Diagram(ERD), database design using PhpMyAdmin, User Interface design using Cascading StyleSheet, Dreamweaver and other tools to create reports. This classroom division information testing system uses Blackbox Testing thatfocuses on functional requirements in software based on the software requirementsspecification. Management of the system that is in the form of added data, change thedata, delete data and print data applied so that users can be active in this system.
