Title: Current Architecture: Between Living with Nature and Living Within Nature Architecture is the answer to human needs on shelter, from the basic structure copying the structure concept in nature to more complex buildings that can be in harmony or in contrast with the surroundings. Nature and architecture are two distinct but related things, mutually affecting their existence. The two paradigms of architecture; modern and post-modern, have their own views about them. Based on those paradigms, architect must select the position where they and their creations belong. With the case studies of architecture in Indonesia, this paper aims at exploring architects’ points of view about nature and site’s coverage and demanding architects not merely to take sides with human being. Using data collection and descriptive method, this paper will provide overview of which architectural paradigm is better with more attention to the nature and the site’s coverage. Even though the architectures presented in this study are built in contemporary era, their paradigms about nature are different. Some use the paradigm of living with nature, and others use the paradigm of living within nature.

The study design using the design of classroom action research ( CAR ), with two cycles. Methods and techniques of data analysis used is descriptive method descriptive qualitative and quantitative, using data collection techniques are engineering test and nontes. The results showed an increase in product value averaged 68.2 on prasiklus, in the first cycle an average of 72.2 after the second cycle of the average value of 88.5 with an increase in the percentage of completeness 30% on the value of the product prasiklus, then on I cycle 35%, and the second cycle of 100% completeness of product value. In terms of the results of evaluation carried out in two cycles showed an increase of the average value of 62 on prasiklus, the first cycleincreased to an average of 69, and the second cycle value increased to an average of 94.5 with a percentage of completeness of test scores 15% on prasiklus,the first cycle increased to 40%, and the second cycle to 100%, with an average value of the end of writing a personal letter reached 91.5.

The purpose of this research was to know the strategies used by public relations of PT PERTAMINA (Persero) MOR III to improve brand awareness of 5,5 Kg Bright Gas product, which was new. The research used a qualitative descriptive method by case studies, which had restricted clearly through the existing focus research. The technique of data collection also acquired through a semi-structured interview, observation, documentation, and research reference. This research would respond to the strategy of public relations of PT PERTAMINA (Persero) MOR III to improve brand awareness of 5,5 Kg Bright Gas product. Attainment from this research told that public relations of PT PERTAMINA (Persero) MOR III have done PENCILS strategy to improve brand awareness of 5,5 Kg Bright Gas product. It concludes that public relations have done all of PENCILS strategy, however, the implementation of the strategy is not yet fully maximum. There are still many things that need to be considered related to planning strategy which is more complete and ready.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to find out methods in community empowerment that are in accordance with the object of adolescents, as well as processes and programs that are useful for youth empowerment carried out by the Creative Empowerment Foundation through empowered academy programs. This study uses a descriptive method with a type of data that is qualitative which describes and explains the facts in the field, using data collection techniques, interviews and documentation studies. The results of the first study, the youth empowerment process carried out by the Creative Empowerment Foundation through a empowered academy program by inviting the community to become volunteers and foster brothers and sisters then looking for and providing understanding of theories that are relevant to teenagers' desires, whose targets are orphaned teenagers. Second, methods of empowering education and practices that are in accordance with the moral curriculum. Third, a movement to improve the quality and capacity of institutions by providing training to volunteers and carers and administrators to remember about empowering and being sincere in empowering.Tujuan dari penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui metode dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat yang sesuai dengan objeknya yakni remaja, serta proses dan program yang bermanfaat bagi pemberdayaan remaja yang dilakukan oleh Yayasan Berdaya Kreatif melalui program akademi berdaya.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan jenis data kualitatif yang menggambarka dan menjelaskan fakta-fakta di lapangan, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pertama, proses pemberdayaan remaja yang dilakukan oleh Yayasan Berdaya Kreatif melalui program akademi berdaya dengan mengajak masyarakat untuk menjadi relawan dan kakak asuh kemudian mencari dan memberikan pemahaman tentang teori yang relevan dengan keingin remaja, yang sasarannya adalah remaja yatim dhuafa. Kedua, metode pemberdayaan pendidikan dan praktik yang sesuai dengan kurikulum berakhlaq. Ketiga, gerakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kapasitas lembaga dengan memberi pelatihan pada relawan dan kakak asuh serta pengurus untuk ingat tentang memberdayakan dan ikhlas dalam memberdayakan.

Babad Panjalu merupakan salah satu karya sastra kuno yang mengandung unsur sajarah yang ditulis oleh Prajadinata, koleksi C.M. Pleyte. Babad Panjalu menjadi sumber utama dalam penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur babad, unsur semiotik, dan nilai etnopedagogik yang terkandung di dalamnya. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu studi bibliografi. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh diolah menggunakan kajian struktural, semiotik, dan etnopedagogik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, tema sejarah merupakan tema yang terdapat dalam babad ini. Alur maju merupakan pola alur yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan cerita. Pelaku utama yang terdapat dalam cerita yaitu silsilah para bupati Panjalu. Kompleksitas kehidupan, pemikiran, dan persoalan lainnya dikemas dengan dukungan watak yang variatif yang terdapat pada diri para bupati Panjalu. Hal ini didukung oleh digunakanya latar tempat seputar keraton. Kehidupan menak paling mendominasi latar sosial dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Dari tiga unsur semiotik yang ditemukan, unsur indéks paling banyak digunakan dari pada unsur ikon dan simbol. Nilai etnopedagogik yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini yaitu nilai moral manusia yang mencakup: moral manusia terhadap Tuhan, moral manusia terhadap pribadi, moral manusia terhadap manusia lain, moral manusia terhadap alam, moral manusia terhadap waktu, dan moral manusia dalam mencapai tujuan hidupnya. Moral manusia terhadap pribadi merupakan nilai moral manusia yang paling banyak terdapat dalam Babad Panjalu. Babad Panjalu (lit. The Chonicle of Panjalu), which is written by Prajadinata, a collection CM Pleyte, is one of ancient literary works. It contains elements of history. It is the main source in this study. This research used descriptive method that aims to describe the structure, semiotic elements, and the ethnopedagogical values contained in Babad Panjalu. The data collection of this research employed the bibliography study. Afterward, the data was processed by using structural, semiotics, and ethnopedagogy studies. Based on the results of research conducted, the theme of history is contained in this chronicle. Forward plot is the plot pattern that is used in developing the story. The main actors in the story are the Regents of Panjalu, as well as their genealogy. The complexity of life, thoughts, and other problems are packed with the support of varied characters of the Regents of Panjalu. It is sustained by the background of the story that shows the palace and its surrounding. The aristocratic life dominates the social background in various aspects of life. Three semiotic elements were found in the study. The most widely used element is the indexes, above the icons and the symbols. Ethnopedagogical values contained in the chronicle are the human moral values. They include moral toward God, personal, other human being, nature, time, and in achieving goals. The human moral values toward personal is the mostly foind in the Babad Panjalu.

This article is the result of a typical Palembang wood carving work. Starting from the increasingly few antiques in the antique gallery owned by Ibu Hj's family. Roswati made him intrigued to grow and develop his business since 1974 and to preserve the carving art furniture in the form of Palembang wood carving. Then continued by a similar craftsman in the Home Industry Q Laquer owned by Mr. Jaja is a typical Palembang wood carving art craftsmanship in Kelurahan 19 Ilir. The purpose of this research is to find out and describe the process of making Palembang's unique wood carving arts. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method using data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The types of decoration in the wood carving art are the decoration that characterizes the city of Palembang as from the motifs of plants with golden, black, and red patterns. The variety of wood carving that is applied to handicraft objects is basically a pure decoration, which functions solely to decorate or beautify. The results of typical Palembang carving crafts include decorative cabinets, chairs, tables, wardrobes, frames, and various kinds of furniture. Through this research by examining how Palembang wood carving art in particular the manufacturing process, is expected to contribute to the people of Palembang City in order to develop and preserve these cultural assets.

Abstract: Learning is an activity that proceeds and is a very fundamental elementin the implementation of each type and level of education. This means that thesuccess or failure of the achievement of the educational objectives depends verymuch on the learning process that students experience when they are at school orin their home or family. Based on the background of the above problem, then theformulation of the problem as follows: What is the learning motivation of studentsof class X Subject PAI In SMKN 13 Malang and Is there a correlation of learningmotivation with student achievement class X Subject PAI In SMKN 13 Malang.The method used in data collection is descriptive method. While the approachtaken is a quantitative approach. Data collection in this study includes literaturestudy and field study. The implementation of this field study involves observationtechniques, interviews, and using data collection instruments in the form ofquestionnaires. Based on the results of correlation analysis obtained 0,538. Inorder for this number to be meaningful, it needs to be interpreted so as to give anexplanation of the correlation between learning motivation and studentachievement, that is by consulting through the value of r on the product momenttable, either with a significance level of 5% or 1%. For more details will beinterpreted r o and r t (table) as follows. At the level of significance of 5% with thenumber of respondents (N) = 22 obtained r t = 0.423, while r o = 0.538. Thus r ois greater than r t or in other words r o> r t. This means indicating a significantor positive correlation between the two variables. At the level of significance of1% with the number of respondents (N) = 22 obtained r t = 0.537, while r o =0.538. Thus r o is greater than r t or in other words r o> r t. This meansindicating a significant or positive correlation between the two variables. So thehypothesis examined that "There is a significant correlation between learningmotivation and learning achievement subjects PAI grade X students in SMKN 13Malang also low.

Bermula dari semakin sedikitnya barang antik di galeri antik milik keluarga Ibu Hj. Roswati membuat beliau tergugah untuk menumbuhkembangkan usahanya tersebut sejak tahun 1974 serta melestarikan kembali kerajinan seni ukir berbentuk mebel dengan ukiran kayu khas Palembang. Kemudian diteruskan juga oleh seorang pengrajin serupa di Home industri Q Laquer milik Bapak Jaja merupakan kerajinan seni ukir kayu khas Palembang di Kelurahan 19 Ilir. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui serta mendeskripsikan proses pembuatan kerajinan seni ukir kayu khas Palembang.</em><em> Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.</em><em> Ragam hias pada kerajinan seni ukir kayu tersebut ialah ragam hias yang mencirikhaskan kota Palembang seperti dari motif tumbuh-tumbuhan dengan corak warna kuning emas, hitam, merah.</em><em> Ragam hias ukir kayu yang diterapkan pada benda-benda kerajinan pada dasarnya adalah ragam hias murni, yang berfungsi semata-mata untuk menghias atau memperindah. Hasil karya kerajinan seni ukir khas Palembang tersebut diantaranya berupa lemari hias, kursi, meja, lemari pakaian, bingkai, dan aneka macam mebel. Melalui penelitian ini dengan mengupas bagaimana seni ukir kayu khas Palembang khususnya proses pembuatannya, diharapkan dapat memberi kontribusi kepada masyarakat Kota Palembang agar bisa mengembangkan dan melestarikan aset budaya tersebut</em><em>.</em><em></em></p><strong><em>Kata kunci :</em></strong><em> Seni Ukir Kayu, Ragam Hias, Palembang</em>
