Cultural association analysis of color is an approach to know color from the side of culture. Unlike the previous color studies which see the color from the aspect of psychology, this research of color aims to provide insight based on the colors from local culture. Johannes Itten’s theory of color was used as a basis of thought in this research. The theory was reflected to Indonesian cultures, and this time, represented by Java island. Research used qualitative method by literature study, interviewing the color experts, historians and artists, visiting cultural centers. Results of the research are in the form of morphological matrix cultural over color. Matrix of analysis resulted in argument and study proposal. Students implemented the color schemes from 5 big cities in Java. They were asked to change the color composition of food and beverage packaging. Students may use, explore, and maximize the principle of color in visual communication to achieve contrast and balance.

The strategy forming tourist attraction to attract repeating guest is by developing entertainment tourism which offers sense of pleasure, satisfaction, and valuable experience. Uluwatu Kecak Fire Dance in Outer Area Uluwatu Temple was recognized as the most famous entertainment forms by domestic visitors. This aim of study is to identifying characteristics and measuring perception of domestic visitors to Uluwatu Kecak Fire Dance based on seven operational dimensions of entertainment tourism (Learning, Enjoyment, Escape, Refreshment, Novelty, Involvement, and Local Culture). The research used qualitative method with data collection techniques are questionnaire (number of samples were 65 respondents) and literature study. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis with continuum lines. The results showed that the perception of 65 domestic visitors for entertainment tourism in Uluwatu Temple were strongly agreed on Learning (277.5) and Enjoyment (285). While perception that were agreed are Escape (227), Refreshment (248.5), Novelty (259.25), Involvement (266), and Local Culture (272.33). In determining the dominant indicators of each dimension of entertainment tourism, the author uses the highest frequency capacity value. The three dimensions with highest average value are Enjoyment (285), Learning (277.5), and Local Culture (272.33). The administrator Outer Area Uluwatu Temple emphasize strategies that can maintain the three dimensions of entertainment tourism that have a dominant value, which is the Enjoyment dimension, Learning dimension, and the Local Culture dimension.   Keyword: Visitor Perception, Socio-demographic Characteristics, Entertainment Tourism, Domestic Visitors

Many acts of terror happen recently. The spread of radicalism and terrorism is well-supported by the sophisticated media and technology. In addition, this advanced information technology is also slowly eroding the local cultures. This paper focuses on how to prevent radicalism by maintaining the local culture in Kudus regency. The method of this research is a qualitative method that uses literature study by examining some of the literatures both printed and online. The results of this study show that Kudus regency is still very strong with their local wisdom. This is shown by the Islamic local cultures which are still preserved today, those are: Dandangan, Kupatan dan Syawalan, Bulusan, Kudus Mosque Minaret, Buka Luwur and Cow as Sacred Animal. Globalization tries to erode those local cultures. Nevertheless, Sunan Kudus teaching brings local wisdom of Kudus society could prevent the radicalism in this globalization era.

The scope of cultural colors that will be examined is textile product of traditional clothes, bride, apparel and culinary, because these products are the most closely reflection of a culture in a society where the society defines the identity of its own. This research of a qualitative method covers collecting data of study literature, interviewing the color experts, historians and artists, visiting cultural centers especially that associated with textil and culinary product. The result will be formed of morphological matrix cultural over color. Matrix of analysis will be held in arquement and proposal study, where students can use, cultivate, and maximize method of color in visual communication to achieve the contrast and balance.

Indonesian has a very rich, unique, and priceless biodiversity and natural resources. Featuring this national treasure is the aim of this research, especially the fauna and flora endemic to Sumatra Island. This research is executed through descriptive qualitative method by exploration and literature study for the first stage and design implementation for the second stage. The first stage contains exploration on Sumatran flora and fauna, batik motifs, contemporary textile design, color composition and trend. The finding of the research is presented at the second stage through contemporary textile motif as the design implementation that can be applied to fashion products. Expectantly, this research can provide guideline and inspiration for textile and fashion designers in developing contemporary textile motifs that take inspirations from the nature and culture of Indonesia.

This research aimed to provide theoretical benefits for students, practitioners of infographics as the enrichment, especially for Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV - Visual Communication Design) courses and solve the occurring visual problems. Theories related to infographic problems were used to analyze the examples ofthe student's infographic work. Moreover, the qualitative method was used for data collection in the form of literature study, observation, and documentation. The results of this research show that in general the students are less precise in the selection and usage of visual literacy elements, and the hierarchy is not good. Thus, it reduces the clarity and effectiveness of the infographic function. This is the urgency of this study about how to formulate a pattern or formula in making a work that is not only good and beautiful but also is smart, creative, and informative.

Analysis of cultural color was an approach to a better understanding color from cultural stand point, unlike the others color studies which looked at the psychological aspect of color. Johannes Itten’s theory of color served as a thinking base in this study. The theory was reflected in the cultures of Indonesia and represented by island of Sumatera (Aceh Darussalam, Medan, Padang, Bengkulu, Palembang, and Lampung). The scope of the subject matters was limited to traditional textile products such as traditional costumes, bridal apparel, and culinary. The textile products were chosen because they became reflection of a culture whose place was close to society and this color became the its own identity. The research method was qualitative that consisted of doing literature study, interviewing experts (historians and artists), and visiting cultural centers especially the ones associated with textile and culinary product. The result of this study is presented in the form of morphological matrix on cultural color. The matrix of analysis is supported with arguments and a classroom experiment, which allows students to use, cultivate, and maximize the method of applying color in visual communication to achieve harmony and contrast.

This research is intended to search and information about the strengthening of Islamic religious education (PAI) through the recitation of furudhul Ainiyah which is carried out in Nurul Jadid Paiton Junior High School. The method of this research is by qualitative method with case study method, to express. That is more intense and deep with the above phenomenon. Technique of completion of data and information is done through interview, observation, study study, and literature study. The findings of this research are 1). Students or students are required to complete the recitation of Furudhul Ainiyah as a condition to take the odd semester and even semester exam and become a requirement for class and graduation increase. 2). the implementation of the furudhul Ainiyah memorization is performed on Thursday and Friday nights and Tuesday nights, and can also be done during normal day breaks, 3). The responsible and recipient of the rote deposit are PAI teachers and their homeroom teachers, 4). For students and students who can not read written Al-qur'an is not subject to rote burden, but get special coaching related to Al-Qur'an reading written by the religious coordinator of students. 5). Memory materials include Aqidah, Fiqih or Amaliyah materials, and daily prayers for students of VII and VIII semerter 1 and 2, while for classes IX semesters 1 and 2 cover the material of the Qur'an and Fiqh. 6).  A work of visual communication design which aired on the television screen has a different perspective in its interpretation in the eyes of the audience when compared to other media. By understanding the characteristics and nature of media, proper exploration of graphic design can easily be created. ABSTRACTPhotography is one of the media used to introduce the character or self-image of politicians during regional head elections, or presidential elections. Among them are by displaying photos of faces or campaign activities for APK (Campaign Props) billboards, namely billboards or billboards installed on protocol roads that can be seen by the public, pamphlets, mass media, and etc. Visual media in the form of photos has a very big influence on public opinion. Photography has a visual power that is able to construct the authenticity of factual events. The purpose of this study is to find out how the process of making photography a political visual communication medium in Indonesia. The method used is descriptive qualitative with an approach through the literature study method. The results of this study can be concluded that the process of making photography a political medium of visual communication to the public is carried out in several ways, namely by recruiting special photographers themselves, designing them, and distributing them. The effect of the message generated from a photography with a good appearance is the effect of knowledge and effect of information.Keywords:  Photography, Political Media, Visual Communication, Message Effects, Political Communication.  ABSTRAKFotografi merupakan salah satu media yang digunakan untuk mengenalkan karakter atau citra diri politisi saat pemilihan kepala daerah, ataupun pemilihan presiden. Diantaranya dengan memajang foto-foto wajah atau kegiatan kampanye untuk baliho APK (Alat Peraga Kampanye) yakni papan reklame atau billboard yang dipasang di jalan-jalan protokol yang bisa dilihat oleh masyarakat luas, pamflet, media massa, dan sebagainya. Media visual berupa foto sangat besar pengaruhnya mempengaruhi opini publik. Fotografi memiliki kekuatan visual yang mampu mengkonstruksi keotentikan peristiwa faktual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses menjadikan fotografi sebagai media komunikasi visual politik di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan melalui metode studi literatur. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses menjadikan fotografi sebagai media politik komunikasi visual kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan beberapa cara, yakni dengan merekrut khusus fotografer sendiri, mendesainnya, dan menyebarkannya. Efek pesan yang ditimbulkan dari sebuah fotografi dengan tampilan yang baik adalah efek pengetahuan dan efek informasi.Kata Kunci: Fotografi, Media Politik, Komunikasi Visual, Efek Pesan, Komunikasi Politik.

This study aims to understand language management for learning in Indonesia. The research method used is a qualitative method with the type of literature study. The results show that the State of Indonesia has carried out language management in relation to the recognition of existing languages and is regulating for the government in the context of the state and nation so that there is a triangular relationship between language and the state which is regulated by the government for the benefit of the nation. If the state has guaranteed the existence of a language as a whole, then a number of policies will emerge to guarantee the rights and obligations of each in managing the existing language. Policies are formulated in the form of rules known as regulations, to serve as joint guidelines between the government and speakers of existing languages.
