Abstract In this article, the project and implementation of the sewer system in the Paquiçamba Village, as a condition for environmental licensing, was investigated. This village is surrounded by the influence of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Plant (Brazil). This research aimed to characterize the context of ethnodevelopment, thus recognizing the social participation of the indigenous people. The research within a qualitative approach between 2009 and 2018 was based on primary data sources (through structured interviews) and secondary data (electronic files related to the environmental licensing). Data were analysed according to descriptive, focused and selective observations until reaching theoretical saturation. The organization of the data was followed by the organization of the themes, which formed a spiral of interconnected activities based on Creswell's proposal (2014). It was detected that indigenous involvement occurred at some moments in the elaboration of the sewage system project. The maintenance of ancestral habits in the disposal of excreta by a portion of the indigenous people, even with the sewage system in place, makes it essential to broaden the debate on the projects proposed on the environmental licensing processes. The Indigenous can not only have a consultative role, but assume a deliberative participation, being protagonists in conducting their own development.

The focus of this research is to describe the strategy of adversity quotient for the management of the Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM) to develop innovations in turning barriers into opportunities for non-formal education programs. Qualitative research with this type of case study was carried out at PKBM Mentari, using structured interviews as the primary data collection method, in order to obtain primary data and document matrix methods to obtain secondary data. the data were analyzed using interactive techniques belonging to Miles and Huberman with the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are the adversity quotient strategy that generally implemented by PKBM is very good, this can be seen from the indicators including: 1) Organizing learning activities flexibly in terms of time, so that it does not interfere with the daily activities of the community; 2) Provide learning at affordable costs so as not to burden the community in participating in learning; 3) Making the community the main partner in the continuation of teaching and learning activities at PKBM and 4) Building synergies with local village officials. The relatively short research time is the main limitation in compiling this study, so that it only maximizes the statements of the main informants.

Abstract This study explains millennial and Gen-Z attitudes, perspectives, and behaviors in implementing the eco-office concept. As a qualitative method study, the study uses primary data through semi-structured interviews and secondary data collected from reports, public/private publications, and census results, using the Yin case study model as data analysis. The study results reveal that the biggest challenge in implementing new policies is self-thinking. Leaders, as change agents, play an essential role in penetrating messages that make them act pro-environment. The reward system will be very effective, especially providing satisfaction for self-actualization. The findings of this study have implications for policymakers as input. For example, the results show that social media plays a crucial role in increasing environmental awareness. In addition, simple shifts such as electronic media use at work will cut the file chain, making it more effective and favored by young people. They understand the consequences of their actions on the environment and have the education, motivation, and social awareness to participate in the green movement. However, beliefs and actions are not fully integrated, and investigating and understanding their behavior and unique needs in the workplace will lead employees to integrate and succeed together to support the environment.

Social change has an impact on the life of indigenous people. Many custom cases that occur, one of them is having sexual relation / marriage with close relatives called Gamia Gamana. Sanctions toward this custom offense generally carry out by cleaning up the village or prayascita village. The purpose of this ceremony is to restore the sanctity and balance of the village; therefore, it becomes pure again. This sanction is given as a fine to the person who does custom offense called Sangaskara Danda. The research questions of this study can be formulated as follows; how is the nature of Sangaskara Danda? And how is the implementation of Sangaskara Danda sanction toward customs offenses Gamia Gamana? The method used in this study was an empirical law derived from primary data and secondary data. The nature of this study was descriptive, with qualitative data analysis. Overall results of these analyses were presented in the description which described the complete problem under study along with a critical discussion. The nature of custom sanction Sangaskara Danda can be seen from the form of sanction, the purpose of the sanction, and the implementation of the sanction. The sanction Sangaskara Danda is in the form of Prayascita Sangaskara Danda and Matirta Gamana (for Hindu Priest). The purpose of this sanction is restoring the cosmic balance (sekala-niskala); moreover, cleansing and purifying themselves, their family and village environment. The implementation of these sanctions is done by imposing the perpetrator of custom offenses either in material or immaterial. Similarly, in implementing sanction Sangaskara Danda toward custom offenses Gamia Gamana is to continue to implement Sangaskara Danda in the form of Prayascita Desa and impose other sanction such as not allowed joining as the member of the village, pay fines, bathed in the sea or even “diaben” (symbolically).
