Cold form steel is one type of material that is currently experiencing very rapid development. The advantages of the using cold form steel are so many, one of which is the light weight and high quality steel. This is an added value for cold form steel. But one of the weakness in cold form steel profile is the buckling effect. So that additional fillers are needed so that cold form steel has resistance with buckling effect. Mortar is a filler that is often used in construction. Therefore this research will be discuss the analysis of grouting mortar to prevent buckling effect in the cold form steel profile. And then the grouting mortar that will be used uses a variation of cement to sand as big as 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4. From the results of the compressive strength of the mortar obtained compressive strength of 1: 1 has the greatest compressive strength of 30 Mpa. And then for the flexural test, the steel beam with mortar variation 1: 1 has the greatest resistance of 9558 Newton, with the smallest deflection value of 8 mm and the greatest stress of 19.47 Mpa, when compared to steel beams with variations of 1: 2, 1: 3, 1: 4 and steel beams without fillers.

A The current environmental problem is regarding to CO2 gas emissions from cement production and the presence of hazardous material waste (B3) from steel production. One solution for that problem is by applying slag cement as a substitute for type I portland cement in concrete mix to create a high quality concrete that is environmentally friendly with a high durability and initial strength. This research aimed to compare a high quality concrete made from slag cement and a high quality concrete with conventional mixture. The slag cement used was obtained from PT. Indocement Indonesia. It is coupled with the use of Master Ease 3029 superplasticizer. The results showed that from the samples of concrete of 3, 7, 14, 28, 56 and 90 days of age, the maximum absorption value of normal concrete occurs at the age of 90 days with acid water curing of 1.57%. While the maximum absorption value of slag cement concrete occurs at the same age with acid water curing of 1.50%. The curing of normal concrete with water at 56 days of age has the largest compressive strength from all. It is also found that slag cement concrete has higher maximum compressive strength than that of normal concrete with acid water curing at 56 days of curing.

AbstractWith spreading of population and increasing of instruction, and also because of limited resources and materials, the demand for using novel materials in building industry has increased. The reinforced concrete columns and steel beams are used in structures with composite moment frame (RCS). Use of compression strength in proportion with concrete and bending strength of steel beam has bestowed these structures less weight than that of concrete structures and made it easier to access the measure of strong column - weak beam especially within long span in these structures. The most important part of these structures is connection of steel beam with the reinforced concrete column. These connections are divided into two general groups of connection with bracing beam and with bracing column from the joint. This paper aims to study the seismic behavior and parameters of RCS composite frame composed of steel beams and strong concrete column. The finite element method was analyzed by ABAQUS software and data analyzed by Excel.

AbstractRecent years have witnessed a rapid development of sequencing technologies. Fundamental differences and limitations among various platforms impact the time, the cost and the accuracy for sequencing whole genomes. Here we designed a complete de novo plant genome generation workflow that starts from plant tissue samples and produces high-quality draft genomes with relatively modest laboratory and bioinformatic resources within seven days. To optimize our workflow we selected different species of plants which were used to extract high molecular weight DNA, to make PacBio and ONT libraries for sequencing with the Sequel I, Sequel II and GridION platforms. We assembled high-quality draft genomes of two different Eucalyptus species E. rudis, and E. camaldulensis to chromosome level without using additional scaffolding technologies. For the rapid production of de novo genome assembly of plant species we showed that our DNA extraction protocol followed by PacBio high fidelity sequencing, and assembly with new generation assemblers such as hifiasm produce excellent results. Our findings will be a valuable benchmark for groups planning wet- and dry-lab plant genomics research and for high throughput plant genomics initiatives.

Introduction. Structural stability is an essential part of design process for steel structures and checking the overall stability is very important for the determination of the optimum steel beams section. Lateral torsional buckling (LTB) normally associated with beams subject to vertical loading, buckling out of the plane of the applied loads and it is a primary consideration in the design of steel structures, consequently it may reduce the load currying capacity. Methods. There are several national codes to verify the steel beam against LTB. All specifications have different approach for the treatment of LTB and this paper is concentrated on three different methods: America Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Eurocode (EC) and Russian Code (SP). The attention is focused to the methods of developing LTB curves and their characteristics. Results. AISC specification identifies three regimes of buckling depending on the unbraced length of the member ( Lb ). However, EC and SP utilize a reduction factor (χ LT ) to treat lateral torsional buckling problem. In general, flexural capacities according to AISC are higher than those of EC and SP for non-compact sections.
