Abstract: A Strategy to Internalize Moral and Religious Values in LearningProcesses in Higher Education. This study aims to describe a strategy tointernalize moral and religious values in learning processes in higher education.This research was a descriptive study employing the qualitative approach. Theresearch subjects were lecturers in the Department of Civic and Law Education,Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics, Yogyakarta State University. The datawere collected through interviews, observations, and documents. The datatrustworthiness was assessed by the triangulation technique. The results show thatstrategies to internalize moral and religious values in learning processes include:modeling, analyzing actual problems in society, developing contextual educativevalues, and strengthening moral values that the students have already possessed.Keywords: strategy to internalize moral and religious values, learning processes

The objective of this study was to analyse: (1) the plan (2) the implementation, and (3) the evaluation of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) management in the workshop of the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (YSU). This study was categorised into descriptive study that scientifically explained the workplace environment of the workshop specifically in terms of the OSH management. The data collection techniques used observations, interviews and questionnaires. The data of this study was analysed descriptively. This study presented the detailed descriptions of the collected data in the field. The results revealed (1) It is crucial to develop a more systematic OSH management plan in the workshop of the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education, Faculty of Engineering, YSU (2) the planning policies and the implementation of the OSH management need a continual improvement  and (3) the evaluation of the OSH management should be conducted simultaneously by the stakeholders, the lecturers and the technicians. (4) The OSH policy in the practices should be properly organised to promote the OSH culture in the workshop. (5) The OSH management control and review were prioritised for fostering the effectiveness of the OSH management implementation.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan  evaluasi Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) di Bengkel Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan FT UNY. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif (descriptive reasearch) yang memaparkan secara ilmiah keadaan di lingkungan bengkel khususnya mengenai aspek K3. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan secara detail terhadap apa yang ditemukan dalam pengambilan data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Perencanaan K3 di bengkel masih perlu diperbaiki agar lebih matang dan sistematis. (2) Pelaksanaan K3 di bengkel masih perlu ditingkatkan terkait dengan kebijakan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan. (3) Evaluasi K3 di bengkel perlu dilakukan secara simultan oleh pihak penentu kebijakan, dosen, dan teknisi. (4) Budaya K3 di bengkel masih perlu ditingkatkan dengan penetapan kebijakan mengenai K3 dalam proses pembelajaran praktik. (5) Faktor peninjauan dan peningkatan kinerja K3 perlu dilakukan untuk menjamin kesesuaian dan efektivitas penerapan sesuai Sistem Manajemen K3.

<p class="5abstrak">The Implementation of education in Higher Education must have the vision and mission to achieve a certain goal. The result of the vision and mission statement is socialized to get feedback as an evaluation and perfection of the vision and mission. The achievement of vision and mission that have been determined must be known, understood, and implemented by all academicians including students. This research was conducted to measure the level of students' understanding of the vision and mission of Biology Education Study Program of FKIP Untan. This research used qualitative approach with descriptive study. The subjects in this research were 246 students of Biology Education Study Program of FKIP Untan class of 2015, 2016, and 2017. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with closed and open statement. The results of this study indicated that in general the students have understood the vision and mission well. Data analysis showed that 236 (95,93%) students have read vision and mission, 190 (77,24%) and 204 (82,93%) students knew about vision and mission, 203 (33,44%), 101 (64%) students were the highest percentage of students who read the vision and mission in standing banner or class and in academic guidance book. Furthermore, 162 students (65.85 %) agreed that they have been well informed about the vision and mission, 165 students (67.07%) agreed that they have understood the vision and mission, 173 students (70.33%) agreed with the existence of vision and mission, and 159 students (64.63%) agreed that the vision and mission were used as references.</p>

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the perceptions of professors and students on academic tutoring. Method: descriptive study with a qualitative approach, carried out at the Magalhães Barata School of Nursing, State University of Pará, Brazil. Twenty-seven professors and 32 students participated in the study. Data were collected through semi-structured and individual interviews, using different scripts for professors and students. For analysis, the technique of content analysis was used. Results: we defined three thematic categories: academic tutoring as a tool for strengthening teaching-learning; academic tutoring as a possibility of intellectual and social transformation; and reflections of academic tutoring in nurses’ training. Final considerations: the teaching-learning process is referred to as a process in which there must be dialogue, and in which professors, students, and tutors learn with each other, breaking the traditional paradigms of unilateral and vertical transfer of content. Academic tutoring stands out as promoter and strengthener of this process.

Aim: to determine the viewpoint of professors on developing managerial skills inundergraduate nursing students. Methods: an exploratory and descriptive study, using a qualitative approach, undertaken with nine professors of a higher education institute located in Guarulhos, between the months of January and May 2013. The data were systematically evaluated using content analysis. Results: five major topics emerged: The development of an academic approach to nursing care; the importance of acquiring techno-scientific knowledge; student’s struggles regarding managerial subjects; teaching strategies for bringing theory and practice together; professional managerial skills to be developed in the future. Conclusion: the professors made use of the connection between theory and practice to facilitate the process of teaching and learning.  They acknowledged the importance of developing managerial competencies, although they could only designate three of them. They point to them as being vital for the development of managerial activities.

The research aims to describe the competence development of lecturers at the Riyadhul Jannah Islamic College, Jalancagak Subang West Java. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach. Data obtained by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results obtained were the competence development of lecturers carried out by the Riyadhul Jannah Islamic Islamic College consisting of four variables, namely 1) communication and motivation; 2) lecturer professionalism; and 3) conflict management. Reformulation is needed in the lecturer development conducted by the Riyadhul Jannah Islamic College in order to improve the quality of higher education. Some homework also needs to be carried out to better support the process of lecturer development competence so that quality learning processes are achieved, namely re-selection of lecturers who are not linear and lecturer honorarium enhancement. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan kompetensi dosen di Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Riyadhul Jannah Jalancagak Subang Jawa Barat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah pengembangan kompetensi dosen yang dilakukan oleh Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Riyadhul Jannah yang terdiri dari empat variabel, yaitu 1) komunikasi dan motivasi; 2) profesionalisme dosen; dan 3) manajemen konflik. Diperlukan reformulasi dalam pengembangan kompetensi dosen yang dilakukan oleh Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Riyadhul Jannah dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tinggi. Beberapa pekerjaan rumah juga perlu dilakukan untuk lebih mendukung proses pengembangan kompetensi dosen sehingga proses pembelajaran yang berkualitas tercapai, yaitu pemilihan ulang dosen yang tidak linier dan peningkatan honorarium dosen. Teachers play a significant role in the preparation of our youth as they make important decisions about education, work, and life.  Existing studies on the correlations between teaching proficiency and academic performance of the students are primarily limited to elementary, secondary, and tertiary levels. Considering the big difference between advance higher education and other educational levels, there is a need to explore the relationship of the teaching proficiency to the academic performance of the students in advance higher education. This study made use of the descriptive-correlation research design. Survey questionnaires were distributed to all advance higher education faculty members and students from School Years 2015 to 2017 at Northwest Samar State University. Statistical tools like frequency and percentage distribution, means, standard deviations, and regression analysis were used for the analysis of the data. Results showed that most of the advance higher education faculty members are male, married, doctorate holders, professionals, research-oriented, very satisfactory performers, and possess good financial status. The best predictor of the academic performance of the advance higher education students is the work experience of the faculty members.

This study aimed to describe the development of students’ critical thinking through their participation in the National Sciences and Mathematic Competition in Indonesia, known as Olimpiade Nasional Matematika dan IPA (ONMIPA). Furthermore, this study investigated the response of the participants towards the administration of ONMIPA in various aspects and also examined support given by the institution to their students related to ONMIPA administration. A qualitative approach implemented to answer the research questions. The instruments used to collect the data were observations list, questionnaire, and interview. The respondents of this study were 54 ONMIPA participants and ten ONMIPA 2019. The study revealed that The National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad or ONMIPA had excellent potential to develop students’ critical thinking skills. The data showed that participants’ responses to the administration of ONMIPA were very positive. Besides, the result revealed that Higher education institutions provided support to participants and the administration of ONMIPA. The support was generally excellent and provided in various forms.

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) menghasilkan produk multimedia pembelajaran hukum agraria yang layak dari aspek materi, aspek tampilan dan respon mahasiswa; (2) mengetahui efektivitas multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development). Produk awal yang dihasilkan, kemudian dilakukan validasi ahli materi dan ahli media. Setelah direvisi, produk diujicobakan kepada mahasiswa melalui tiga tahap, yaitu uji coba perorangan, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan uji coba lapangan. Subjek uji coba produk adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan Hukum, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, UNY. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) produk multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki: (a) kualitas aspek materi kriteria baik; (b) kualitas aspek tampilan  kriteria baik; (c) respon mahasiswa tentang daya tarik media kriteria menarik. (2) efektivitas penggunaan multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan untuk meningkat-kan hasil belajar, ditunjukkan pada: (a) peningkatan rata-rata skor dari 51,50 pada saat pre-test, menjadi 73,75 pada waktu post-test (30,16%); (b) peningkatan ketuntasan dari 20 mahasiswa, 5 mahasiswa tuntas (25%) pada saat pre-test menjadi 17 mahasiswa tuntas (85%) pada waktu post-test, terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan 60%. Dengan demikian, multimedia untuk pembelajaran Hukum Agraria layak digunakan.Kata kunci: multimedia, hukum agraria_____________________________________________________________________DEVELOPING MULTIMEDIA FOR LEARNING AGRARIAN LAWS IN THE STUDY PROGRAM OF CIVICS AND LAWS EDUCATION, FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES, YOGYAKARTA STATE UNIVERSITY Abstract This study aims to: 1) produce multimedia for learning agrarian laws which is appropriate in terms of the material and presentation aspects and students’ responses, and 2) investigate the effectiveness of the developed multimedia to develop students’ learning outcomes. This was a research and development study. The preliminary product was then validated by material and media experts. After revision, the product was tried out to the students through three stages, i.e. the one-to-one tryout, small-group tryout, and field tryout. The subjects of the product tryouts were the students of the Study Program of Civics and Laws Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Yogyakarta State University. The results of the study were as follows: (1) Regarding the developed learning multimedia product: (a) it had good quality in terms of the material aspect; (b) it had good quality in terms of the presentation aspect; and (c) the students’ responses to the media attractiveness showed that the multimedia was attractive. (2) The effectiveness of the use of the developed learning multimedia to improve learning outcomes was indicated by the fact that: a) there was a score improvement (30.16%) from a mean score of 51.50 in the pre-test to 73.75 in the post-test; and b) there was an improvement in mastery by 60% among 20 students, from five students (25%) attaining mastery in the pretest to 17 students (85%) attaining mastery in the posttest. Therefore, the multimedia for Agrarian Laws learning is appropriate to apply.Keywords: multimedia, agrarian laws
