The relationship between both the quantity and perceived quality of social support and suicidal risk was examined in a sample of 50 adolescents whose ages ranged from 16 to 20 years. A multiple regression analysis was performed, using scores from Cull and Gill's 1983 Suicide Probability Scale as the criterion measure along with the predictor variables of quantity and quality of experienced social support as measured by the 1983 Social Support Questionnaire of Sarason, Levine, Basham, and Sarason. Analysis showed the social support variables accounted for over 52% of the variance in suicide potential. The greatest proportion of the variance in suicide risk was attributable to the quality of the perceived social support. Adolescents at greater risk for suicide were significantly less satisfied with the quality of their social support.

Perceived social support and life-satisfaction The article concerns the relationship between life-satisfaction and the features of interpersonal relationships and social support. The research presented in this paper concerned the satisfaction with the relationships with family members, friends, colleagues and acquaintances, the extent of the relationships among these groups, and the perceived social support. The aim of the presented research is to assess the impact of these characteristics on life-satisfaction. In addition, the changes that occurred after the social skills training in the level of life-satisfaction and its determinants were examined. The study group consisted of 60 participants. The results show that the strongest determinants of life-satisfaction are practical support and the satisfaction with the relationships with friends. After the social training the structure of the determinants changed. The factors which were relevant before the training appear to be insignificant now; however, the emotional support, satisfaction with family relationships and the number of friends gain in importance. The social skills training was also effective and increased the level of life-satisfaction.

This research is motivated by the development of the social entrepreneurship topic among students. This research focused on analyzing the antecedents of social entrepreneurial intention by involving attitudes towards becoming a social entrepreneur (ATB) and social support. A total of 208 students at Universitas Bung Hatta became respondents with the criteria of having taken lectures for at least two semesters. Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) method was used to test the moderating hypothesis (perceived social support). This research shows that the higher the perceived social support perceived by students, the stronger the influence between ATB on social entrepreneurial intention. In this research, perceived social support plays a moderator role (purely moderated) in the relationship between ATB and social entrepreneurial intention. In addition, interesting findings of the moderating effect by gender where women have a higher moderating effect than men. One of the limitations of this research is that the sample was only within the scope of students. Hopefully, future researches can expand the scope of the sample, such as involving social entrepreneurs, so that the generalization of research results can be better. In addition, this research still has not linked several elements of context and factors, including culture, gender differences, personality characteristics, to the context of differences in developed and developing countries (local wisdom).

The study involved 34 students with autistic and parents in three districts and one municipality in the Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. There instruments used were the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking-Figural, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, and Scale of Self-acceptance. Findings from this study indicate that self-acceptance in parents can not predict of individuals with ASD. Then, the social support felt by parents can predict the creativity of individuals with ASD. In addition, social support for parents does not act as a moderator in the relationship between self-acceptance in parents and the creativity of individuals with ASD. This is not in line with previous findings.

The sample is a convenience one, uniform by gender, consisting of 200 people under the age of 35. The instruments used in the research are: the Serbian version of the TEMPS-A scale, which assesses five affective temperaments, and the Serbian version of the Social Support Scale of the Study of Medical Outcomes (MOS-SSS). The results show that the depressive temperament perceives social support to a lesser extent than the cyclothymic (p <.05), hyperthymic (p <.01), anxiety-cognitive (p <.05) and mixed temperament (p <.05). On the other hand, the hyperthymic temperament is more prone to perceiving social support than the cyclothymic (p <.05) and anxiety-somatic temperaments are (p <.05). The main conclusion of this research is that hyperthymic temperament, which is characterized by most desirable traits such as optimism, sociability, self-confidence and eloquence, perceives its social environment to be more supportive than other temperaments, which is a consequence of its characteristics and the adequate communication of its own needs

Abstract Social support is an exchange of resources between two individuals that are felt byboth the giver and the recipient with the aim of improving the welfare of the recipient. The social support received by entrepreneurs will certainly affect the smooth running of the business being run. One of the biggest fears that are owned by entrepreneurs, especially foodpreneurs, is fear of failure. The research objective was to determine the relationship between social support and fear of failure in foodpreneurs. The measuring instruments used in this study were the Multidimensional Scale Of Perceived Social Support (α = 0.81) and The Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (α = 0.87). The sample was obtained by using quota sampling technique with the criteria of entrepreneurs in the culinary field aged 18-34 years, having their own culinary business with a total sample of 342 people. The analysis results showed that there was a negative relationship between social support and fear of failure in foodpreneurs. So the higher the social support, the lower the fear of failure. Likewise, on the other hand, the lower the social support, the higher the fear of failure. Jadi semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin rendah fear of failure. Begitu juga sebaliknya bahwa semakin rendah dukungan sosial maka semakin tinggi fear of failure.

Multidimensional Scale for Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and Self -Report Measure of Emotional Intelligence (SRMEI) were used to measure the two variables. Results were analyzed by t-test and correlations using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 20. It was discovered that perceived social support has a significant positive correlation with emotional intelligence. It was further revealed that family provides more social support as compared to friends and significant others.
