This research is an expost facto research which aims to find out the exsistence of the mean difference between gender in terms of achievement, and investigate the variables predicting students’ achievement in literature study including the direct/indirect effect. This research involved 90 students established ramdomly as the sample. The research used the quantitative data analysis to analyze the mean difference between groups and the direct/indirect effect of the predictors. The result of this research shows that: (1) girls have higher achievement in literature study compared to boys; (2) the predictors that are statistically proven as a direct significant predictor of students’ final test score are gender, second dummy variable for class and mid-term test, while the rest of predictors (except the first dummy variable of class) contribute indirectly to the prediction of students’ achievement in literature study; and (3) the magnitude of the predictors might be different when they are applied in different classes.

The objectives of this study are: 1) To analyze the effect of knowledge on work motivation. 2) Analyzing the effect of skills on work motivation. 3) Analyze the influence of knowledge on employee performance. 4) Analyze the effect of skills on employee performance. 5) Analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance. 6) Analyzing the indirect effect of knowledge on employee performance is mediated by work motivation. 7) Analyzing the indirect effect of skills on employee performance is mediated by work motivation. This research was conducted at Rijan Mart III (Komplek PP. Riyadlul Jannah Pacet Mojokerto) Raya Polsek, Jl. West Pacet, Ledok, Pacet, Kec. Pacet, Mojokerto, East Java 61374, research time in August 2016. The population in this study were employees of Rijan Mart III (Komplek PP. Riyadlul Jannah Pacet Mojokerto). The sampling method used was saturated sampling because the population was only 40 people. Other terms of saturated sample are census, quantitative data analysis and statistical testing methods. From the research results it can be concluded as follows: 1) Knowledge has a significant effect on work motivation. 2) Skills have a significant effect on work motivation. 3) Knowledge does not have a significant effect on performance. 4) Skills have a significant effect on employee performance. 5) Work motivation has no significant effect on employee performance. 6) Knowledge does not have an indirect effect on employee performance mediated by work motivation. 7) Skills have an indirect effect on employee performance mediated by work motivation.

This study concerns on improving students’ achievement in writing procedure texts through word webbing technique. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The population was the 2012-2013 nine grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. The number of students was 36, consisting of 21 females and 15 males. The procedure of the research was administrated into two cycles where each cycle consisted of three meetings. Each meeting included four steps namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. There were two kinds of data collected during the study, qualitative and quantitative data. The instrument for collecting the quantitative data was the writing of procedure texts test while the qualitative data were gathered by using interview, diary notes and observation sheet. Based on the data analysis, the mean of students’ score in Test I was 53,47, for the Test II was 63,05, and for the Test III was 75 The qualitative data showed that the students were interested in the applying of Word webbing Technique. The conclusion is that Word Webbing Technique in writing Procedure Texts improves the students’ achievement in writing procedure texts. This study deals with the way to improve students’ achievement in speaking particularly through Two Stay Two Stray Strategy. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of of the research was class X-AP SMK Swasta Harapan Danau Sijabut in Asahan Regency that consisted of 34 students. The research was conducted in two cycles consisted of three meetings in each cycle. The instruments of collecting data for quantitative data used Speaking Test and instrument for analysis of qualitative data used observation, interview and questionnaire sheet. Based on the speaking test score, students’ score kept improving in every test. In the test I the mean was 61,47, in the test II the mean was 67,41 and the test III the mean was 78,52. Based on observation sheet and questionnaire sheet, it was found that teaching learning process run well and lively. Students were active and interest in speaking. The using of Two Stay Two Stray Strategy is significantly improved students’ achievement in speaking.

The purpose of this article is to explore the opportunity and challenge of implementing community counseling from Indonesian and American perspective. This article used a literature study approach. The literature study was conducted by reviewing books, journals, and research results publications from 2000 to 2017 and previous publications related to community counseling. Data analysis techniques in this study are quantitative data analysis techniques and qualitative data analysis techniques. This article concluded that the possible opportunity that can be applied to meet the challenge faced in achieving the optimization of the implementation of community counseling in Indonesia and America. Community counseling in the Indonesian perspective has the opportunity to be applied in formal and non-formal setting, but the challenge needs to be the provision of professional human resource and system support. Community counseling in the American perspective has the opportunity for rapid development in non-formal setting, but the challenge lies in the complexity of cultural issue and group identity. Keywords: community counseling, opportunity, challenge

<p><strong>Abstract: </strong>This study aims to analyze the POE learning model for understanding physics concepts. The method used in this research is a meta-analysis. Meta-analysis is research that examines the results of similar studies. Data obtained from national and international journal documents taken by purposive sampling based on conformity with the research theme. Data analysis using quantitative data analysis with presentations and qualitative data analysis in the form of descriptions of research results found. Based on data analysis, it found that the POE learning model can improve students' understanding of concepts.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model pembelajaran POE terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah meta analisis. Meta analisis merupakan penelitian yang mengkaji hasil penelitian yang sejenis. Data diperoleh dari dokumen-dokumen jurnal nasional maupun internasional yang diambil secara purposive sampling berdasarkan kesesuaian dengan tema penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif dengan presentasen dan analisis data kualitatif berupa deskripsi-deskripsi hasil penelitian yang ditemui. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing Law Number 23 of 2004 on Elimination of Violence in Household, as well as the factors that influence its enforcement. This type of research is empirical legal research with a quantitative descriptive in nature. This research was conducted in Makassar City to be precise at the Makassar City Police. The data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, documentation, and literature study. The data analysis technique used is quantitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that the implementation of Law No. 23 of 2004 in Makassar City is still considered less effective. Factors affecting the effectiveness of the implementation of Law No. 23 of 2004 in Makassar City consists of several factors, namely: legal factors; law enforcement factors; supporting facility factors; environmental factors; and cultural factors. in addition, environmental factors are the biggest factor affecting the effectiveness of the implementation of Law No. 23 of 2004. It is hoped that the police will further strengthen environmental factors in order to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of Law No. 23 of 2004 in the future.

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the ability of teachers in preparing Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) through academic supervision. This research is a school action research with steps: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research is planned to consist of two cycles. This research was carried out at MIN Amkoteng Subdistrict Anjir Muara, Barito Kuala District, South Kalimantan Province. Quantitative data analysis was used to determine the increase in the value of the practice of making RPP by teachers based on the standards set by the Ministry of National Education. The results of the study show that the teacher's ability to prepare RPP can be improved by academic supervision; collaboration between teachers and Supervisors of Primary Schools can be well established and useful in fostering teachers to improve their abilities in preparing RPP; the complete document II of the Education Unit (KTSP) MIN Amkoteng curriculum is complete, in the form of RPP collection documents; and this academic supervision can be used as a model in the following years in terms of drafting RPP, and can be used as an example for other schools.

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in numeracy skills of 0-10 through the Abacus Media for Group B children in Integrated PAUD Nagallo Marannu, Puncak Jaya Regency, Academic Year 2017/2018. This research was conducted on group B children, amounting to 16 people. This research is an action research with the method of Kemmis and Taggart which consists of 4 stages, namely (plan, act, observe and reflect). This study consisted of 2 cycles, each of which consisted of 3 meetings. Data collection techniques using observation, field notes, and documentation. Data analysis using quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data analysis was performed with statistical descriptions to compare pre-cycle to cycle II. Qualitative analysis is carried out by analyzing data from observations, field notes and verified documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to count numbers 0-10 through the abacus media with a score in the pre-cycle of 46.35% increasing to 66.66% in the first cycle and an increase of 82.29 in the second cycle with the very well developed category.
