Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still a disease that is feared especially in the tropical countries including Indonesia. Continuous efforts are needed in terms of preventing dengue hemorrhagic fever. The purpose of this activity is to provide an explanation of various ways to prevent dengue hemorrhagic fever and at the same time provide an opportunity for students to act as ambassadors for the environment. The method of this activity is in the form of community counseling. This counseling was considered quite successful, seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in asking questions about DHF. It can be concluded that this outreach activity is very useful in increasing knowledge and community participation in the prevention of dengue hemorrhagic fever.

Introduction: Breast cancer and cervical cancer are common cancers in females. Both of these cancers can be detected early. Early detect vion can reduce cancer morbidity and mortality. The community outreach activities are required to increase knowledge about breast cancer and cervical cancer, in addition to screening as preventive efforts for these two cancers.Methods: The activity of raising knowledge about the prevention and early detection of breast cancer and cervical cancer was carried out through community counseling to 94 females who were members of the PKK and young females in the Kecamatan Proppo, Kabupaten Pamekasan. Pre and post tests were given before and after the community counseling. After the community counseling, 86 participants were screened for breast cancer by clinical palpation and 46 participants were screened for cervical cancer using the pap smear method.Results: The result of the post test showed a 27.53% increase in knowledge. The results of the pap smear examination on participants showed 96% concluded as Papanicolau Class II, 2% Class I, and 2% Class IV. The patient with class IV results was referred to an obstetrician.Conclusion: Community counseling about breast self examination (BSE) and Pap smear can increase people's knowledge about early detection of breast cancer and cervical cancer.

The purpose of this article is to explore the opportunity and challenge of implementing community counseling from Indonesian and American perspective. This article used a literature study approach. The literature study was conducted by reviewing books, journals, and research results publications from 2000 to 2017 and previous publications related to community counseling. Data analysis techniques in this study are quantitative data analysis techniques and qualitative data analysis techniques. This article concluded that the possible opportunity that can be applied to meet the challenge faced in achieving the optimization of the implementation of community counseling in Indonesia and America. Community counseling in the Indonesian perspective has the opportunity to be applied in formal and non-formal setting, but the challenge needs to be the provision of professional human resource and system support. Community counseling in the American perspective has the opportunity for rapid development in non-formal setting, but the challenge lies in the complexity of cultural issue and group identity. Keywords: community counseling, opportunity, challenge

Background: Stunting is a problem that cannot be considered ordinary. Short toddlers (stunting) can occur due to poor nutrition and nutritional intake and lack of knowledge about stunting. Purpose: Transferring knowledge about how to prevent and manage stunting or short toddlers. Method: counseling and empowering health cadres by using tools such as LCD projectors and using leaflets and interactive discussions. Results: The implementation of this activity included advice and health cadre assistance in conducting health education to the community. Counseling for health cadres was done first to increase cadre knowledge. After that, support was given to health cadres to lead health education to the community around the village. Conclusion: After conducting mentoring activities on health cadres, which was a village program under the guidance of the University of Jember, it could increase the knowledge and motivation of cadres in conducting health education in the context of preventing and managing stunting infants.

Purpose of the study: The contents, meaning, the relationship of values ​​in Lontar Yusuf's book if it is seen in its contents and the Using community counseling model contained in Lontar Yusuf's book. Methodology: This study used a qualitative approach to the type of content analysis research (content analysis). Main Findings: Using the Community counseling model contained in the book of Joseph Lontar contained some truth value functionally can be used in looking at human nature and the purpose of counseling. Applications of this study: Content analysis is a type of research that is used to examine the richness of meaning of an object under study, namely the documentation of data in the form of text, images, symbols, and so forth. Novelty/Originality of this study: Values can be utilized in the decency of human nature and the purpose of counseling. Humanitarian values can be utilized on the goals of counseling. The social value can be utilized on the goals of counseling. Values can be utilized by faith in human nature and the goals of counseling.
