Background: Collaborative learning is a learning method which centered on students’ learning process. Although many theories and research results showed that  interactive lecture is better than conventional lecture, but in fact, only few lecturers use the interactive method in teaching and learning process. Literature stated that using conventional method in teaching and learning process does not motivate students to learn more while using the other one (interactive lecture) will enhance students’ motivation. Collaborative learning is one of interactive lecture method. Based on the facts mentioned above, the researcher wants to compare students’ motivation who participate in conventional method and those who participate in collaborative learning method.Method: This was a quantitative research with experimental approach, used posttest only with control group design. This research measured students’ learning motivation by using Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). Subjects for the research were the second semester students of  Public Health Scince of Tadulako University which divided into two groups randomly. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney test method.Results: There were a distinct disparity in students’ learning motivation after following learning process with conventional and collaborative learning method. Students who followed collaborative learning had higher motivation than students who followed conventional lecture.Conclusion: Collaborative learning improves students’ learning motivation toward the nutrient topic on Public Health Sciences.

The aims of this study were to analyze: (1) the significance effects of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Method on the motivation to learn PPKn, (2) the significance effects of PBL Method on PPKn learning result, (3) the significance effects of PBL on the result and motivation of the students in PPKn learning process, and (4) to find out the effectiveness among PBL Method, the Inquiry and Conventional Learning Method in learning PPKn. This research was quasi experiment by pretest-posttest control group design. The participants were the 10th grade of SMA Negeri 1 Pacet Mojokerto 2016/2017 year academic. The results: (1) there were significance effects of the PBL Method on the motivation to learn PPKn; (2) there were significance effects of PBL Method on PPKn learning result; (3) there were significance effects of Problem-Based Learning on the result and motivation to the students in PPKn learning process; (4) the most effective method of learning PPKn was Problem-Based Learning.

The aim of this study is to determine the differences of students’ cognitive learning outcome through project based learning method and conventional one. To collect the data, an experimental research is conducted by using pretest – posttest control group design. The samples were the second semester students of class XI of MAN 1 Sigli, Pidie regency which consisted of 66 students (33 students of class XI IPA-2 and 33 students of class XI IPA-3). Project based learning method was implemented in experimental class; meanwhile conventional method was implemented in control class. The data were analyzed by using independent sample t-test with SPSS 16.0 for Windows at significant level of 0.05. The result showed that there was a significant improvement of cognitive learning outcome of experimental class students (tcount7,156 > 2,000). It can be concluded that project based learning can increase students’ cognitive achievement.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya interaksi antara guru dan siswa serta siswa dan siswa sehingga siswa kurang aktif dalam belajar. Kurangnya interaksi dapat terjadi karena disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, seperti metode pembelajaran yang membuat siswa kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasinya adalah dengan menerapkan metode Pembelajaran Talking Stick. Metode ini melibatkan siswa yang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Keaktifan belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sangat penting, karena dengan siswa mengambil peran aktif, siswa akan merasa belajar lebih bermakna. Berdasarkan latar belakang di atas, rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1). Bagaimana penerapan  metode pembelajaran talking stick pada mata pelajaran  Alquran dan Hadits di MTsN 1 Lebak, 2). Bagaimana keaktifan belajar  siswa dalam mata pelajaran Alquran dan Hadis dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran talking stick di MTsN 1 Lebak, 3). Apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran talking stick terhadap keaktifan belajar pada mata pelajaran Al-Qur'an dan Hadits pada MTsN 1 Lebak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1). Untuk mengetahui penerapan metode pembelajaran talking stick pada mata pelajaran Alquran dan Hadits pada MTsN 1 Lebak 2). Untuk mengetahui keaktifan belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Alquran dan Hadis dengan menggunakan metode learning stick dalam MTsN 1 Lebak, 3). Untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran berbicara tongkat pada keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Al-Qur'an dan Hadits di MTsN 1 Lebak. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTsN Lebak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain kelompok kontrol tidak setara. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa keaktifan belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah menerapkan metode pembelajaran talking stick pada mata pelajaran Alquran dan Hadis. Dari nilai posttest siswa di kelas eksperimen memiliki rata-rata = 88,4. Untuk kelas kontrol memiliki nilai posttest rata-rata = 82,0 dan pengujian hipotesis dengan t hitung> t tabel maka Ha diterima. Ada pengaruh dari penerapan metode pembelajaran talking stick terhadap keaaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Alquran dan Hadis. Kata kunci: Talking Stick, Metode dan Pembelajaran Aktif   Abstrak.This research is motivated by the lack of interaction between teachers and students and students and students so that students are less active in learning. Lack of interaction can occur because it is caused by several factors, such as learning methods that make students less active in the learning process. One effort to overcome this is by applying the talking stick learning method. This method involves students being active in the learning process. Student learning activeness in the learning process is very important, because with students taking an active role, students will feel more meaningful learning. Based on the background above, the formulation of the problem in this study are: 1). How to apply the talking stick learning method to the subjects of the Qur'an and Hadith in MTsN 1 Lebak, 2). How is the active learning of students in the subjects of the Qur'an and Hadith using the talking stick learning method in MTsN 1 Lebak, 3). Is there any effect of the talking stick learning method on student learning activeness in the subjects of the Qur'an and Hadith on MTsN 1 Lebak. The objectives of this study are: 1). To find out the application of the talking stick learning method to the subjects of the Qur'an and Hadith on Lebak 1 MTsN. 2). To find out the learning activeness of students in the subjects of the Qur'an and Hadith by using the talking stick learning method in MTsN 1 Lebak, 3). To find out the effect of the talking stick learning method on student learning activeness in the subjects of the Qur'an and Hadith on Lebak 1 MTsN. This research was conducted at Lebak 1 MTsN. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent control group design. Data collection instruments used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that student learning activeness has increased after applying the talking stick method to the subjects of the Qur'an and Hadith. From the posttest value students in the experimental class had an average = 88.4. For the control class has an average posttest value of = 82.0 and hypothesis testing with the price of t count > t table then Ha is accepted. There is an influence from the application of the talking stick learning method to the active learning of students in the subjects of the Qur'an and Hadith. Background: According to 21st century priorities in the Global Strategy On Human Resources For Health: Workforce 2030, the abilities of medical practices must be appropiate with the demands of the society. To realize the abilities of medical practices which are apropriate with the demands of the society, are using learning methods that encourage a more active learning process, thereby encouraging the activation of long term memory through the introduction of realistic and contextual cases that can increase the cognitive retention of students. Problem based learning method (PBL) has several limitations. One of them is the high demand of educators in number. Asynchronous blended problem based learning method (ABLE-PBL) is an instructional innovation that may be used in midwifery school institutions that have limited number of educators but they want to optimize the learning process and produce quality graduates who are competent in accordance with the demands of the society. The aim of this study is to know the influence of ABLE-PBL and PBL method on cognitive retention and student learning motivation.Method: This study conducted using a quantitative approach with total sample 37 Universitas Padjadjaran Midwifery students who are fulfilling the inclusion and exclusion criteria, from March to June 2018 by cross over method.Results: This study showed that there was no difference between retention score 1 and retention score 2 of intervention group (ABLE-PBL) and control group (PBL) by using mann-whitney test (p > 0,05), ABLE-PBL and PBL had no difference in affecting cognitive retention and motivation by using chi square test (p > 0.05).Conclusion: ABLE-PBL method and PBL method has no difference in affecting cognitive retention and student learning motivation.

Vocabulary is an essential component in learning English. It influences four English skills; they are listening, speaking, reading, and writing, for getting a good result in English. In teaching learning process, the teacher often implements the less interesting method, technique, or even media of vocabulary mastery in teaching and learning process which make the students to be bored, inactive, an uniterested in memorizing English vocabulary. Some media can be interested as the solutions in vocabulary mastery, they are Snake Ladders media and Scrabble media.The investigation was undergone by quantitative research. The researcher applied experimental research. This research underwent pre-test post-test control group design. To analyze data, t-test formula is used to measure the result of collected data. From the t-test measurement, it showed that t-test is 3.15 and t-table is 2.66. It means that t-hit > t-table. Based on the collected data, there is different result of using Snake Ladders from Scrabble media toward students’ vocabulary mastery. It was found that the students who are taught by using Snake Ladders resulted significant outcome than those are instructed by Scrabble media. It means that Snake Ladders is effective to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery.

Covid-19 changes human habits, especially the learning process. Teaching and learning activities that are usually carried out offline now must be online. The research was motivated by the students' assumptions about mathematics which were considered difficult. Students feel overwhelmed when studying mathematics. When faced with math problems, students often don't have the confidence to solve it. The purpose of this study is to determine the increase in self-confidence of students who get online learning using the CPA approach during the Covid-19 pandemic, both in terms of overall, and Initial Mathematical Ability (IMA). This research is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design on Mathematics subjects on the topic of data collection and presentation in fifth-grade elementary schools. The sample consisted of 56 students at one of the elementary schools in Central Jakarta, Indonesia The research instrument used a self-confidence attitude scale given at the beginning before and after the treatment ended. The learning process is carried out online through the Whatsapp Group, Youtube, and Google Form. The research findings showed that online learning using the CPA approach can increase students' self-confidence better than conventional learning, both as a whole, and IMA. Thus, the CPA approach can be used as an alternative to increasing student self-confidence during the Covid-19 pandemic

This study was designed to find out the effect of frequent Testing on students’ test anxiety scores in research method course at university level. The study was expected to predict the worry and emotional factor scores of test anxiety on frequent testing. A quasi-experimental pre-test post-test control group design was used in this study. Two intact groups were selected from department of science education, University of the Punjab, Lahore. The researcher has adopted the test anxiety Inventory by Spielberger (1980) to find out the students’ test anxiety. The reliability was analyzed through the pilot testing of the instrument. The interventional group was manipulated by frequent testing. The control group was assessed by conventional method. Both groups were compared on test anxiety scores. After analyzing the data, it was observed that both groups experience the same test anxiety in regard to worry and emotional factor. Frequent testing did not effect the test anxiety of students in research method course. Stakeholders and evaluators will benefit from the information gathered on how to lessen test anxiety in order to improve the teaching-learning process in classroom. To strengthen the teaching and learning process in classrooms, it is necessary to increase confidence in prospective teachers.

The teaching and learning activities at grade 10th SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya and SMAN 1 Peukan Bada Aceh Besar, it can be seen that the learning motivation of students is still lacking to learn. The learning motivation of students has not been maXmized because students still feel the learning conditions that provide opportunities for students to make assumptions and carry out an experiment to obtain their own knowledge. This condition causes students to only refer to conventional modules which contain material only. This study aims to analyze the differences in the learning motivation of students in the experimental class and the control class on environmental pollution material in class grade 10th  SMAN Aceh Besar. The approach used in this research is quantitative, the type of research is applied research, a quasi-experimental method, with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was 105 students. The research procedure was to provide a pre-test, a web-based electronic module treatment combined with PBL in the experimental class and conventional methods in the control class, and post-test. The instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity, reliability test. Data analysis used independent t-test with prerequisite test for normality and homogeneity test. The results showed that there were differences in the learning motivation of students in the experimental class and the control class on environmental pollution concept in class X SMAN Aceh Besar. The learning motivation taught by web-based electronic modules combined with PBL is better than conventional methods.

In this study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation on PAI students in grade IV who have implemented the Quantum Teaching and Learning learning model with the motivation to learn PAI in fourth grade students who apply Conventional learning models. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method, the data collection technique uses a questionnaire, and to determine the control and experimental classes used the pretest-posttest control group design, which class is of low value and will be used as the experimental and class high grades will be used as a control class. The object of his research was fourth grade students of SDN Tegal Sawah I, which numbered 40 people, divided into 2 classes, experimental class 20 people and classes. Control 20 people. Based on the results of research and data analysis, the average experimental class pretest was 49.4 and the control class was 48.25. After being given treatment and posttesting that the results of the experimental class were 68.1 higher than the control class average value of 54.75. Calculation of hypotheses using the t-test is a paired sample T test and obtained at a significant level of 0.05 shows that the probability value (significance) is 0.00. because of the significance value, then Ho is rejected. This proves that the use of the Quantum Teaching and Learning learning model influences the learning motivation of PAI students in fourth grade SDN Tegalsawah I.

This study aims to explain the application of hypnoteaching method in spiritual values learning. This type of research is library research. This research is qualitative research. The primary source used in this study is the thought of Muhammad Noer in his book entitled Hypnoteaching For Success Learning. This research concludes that the hypnoteaching method is a learning method that combines teaching and learning with hypnosis. This method can be used as one of the methods in the process of learning spiritual values. In its application, the hypnoteaching method emphasizes the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of students through positive suggestions.
