Memasuki tahun 2020, dunia dihadapkan dengan kemunculan wabah infeksi Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Kemunculan wabah tersebut berdampak pada aspek kehidupan masyarakat yang mendorong adanya perubahan. Hal ini menjadikan institusi sosial seperti Gerakan Bersih Kecamatan Anggana (GBKA) berupaya menghadapi perubahan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan upaya GBKA mewujudkan ketahanan sosial melalui cara dan pendekatan kelompok dalam menghadapi kondisi pandemi COVID-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa unsur “Betulungan” atau tolong menolong sebagai nilai kearifan lokal yang dimiliki masyarakat berperan penting dalam dinamika kelompok untuk mewujudkan ketahanan sosial. “Betulungan” menjadi potensi dalam rangkaian proses adaptasi kelompok guna mempertahankan eksistensi GBKA di tengah pandemi COVID-19. Kata Kunci: ketahanan sosial; kelompok sosial; adaptasi; kerentanan At the beginning of 2020, the world is overcoming an outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 or known as COVID-19. The outbreak has disrupted community’s lives which leads to social change. In fact, like the roles of another social institution, GBKA tries to overcome this social changes. The study aims to describe GBKA’s efforts to achieve social resilience through a community approach in this pandemic COVID-19 situation. The research uses descriptive qualitative approach. This study found that the element of “Betulungan” or known as mutual assistance as the value of local wisdom owned by the community has an important role of community to achieve social resilience. “Betulungan” is a capital in a process of adaptation of community group in order to maintain the sustainability of the group in this COVID-19 pandemic situation.Keywords: social resilience; community group; adaptive capacity; vulnerabilities

This chapter analyzes the novels of the British writer Barbara Pym, which are often read as cozy tales of English middle-class postwar life but which, I argue, are profoundly influenced by the work Pym carried out as an editor of the journal Africa at the International African Institute in London, where she worked for decades. She used ethnographic techniques to represent social change in a postwar, decolonizing, non-normative Britain of female-headed households, gay and lesbian relationships, and networks of female friendship and civic engagement. Pym’s novels of the 1950s implicitly criticize the synchronic, functionalist anthropology of kinship tables that dominated the discipline in Britain, substituting an interest in a new anthropology that could investigate social change. Specific anthropological work on West African social changes underpins Pym’s English fiction, including several journal articles that Pym was editing while she worked on her novels.

ABSTRAK - Arus globalisasi yang mendunia sudah tidak dapat dibendung lagi keberadaannya di negara Indonesia. Indonesia menjadi salah satu dari berbagai negara yang telah dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan teknologi dan iptek yang semakin canggih, sehingga dunia kini telah memasuki era industri 4.0. Generasi milenial adalah salah satu kelompok yang dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan teknologi yang serba instan, bahkan peran penting generasi milenial sudah mulai surut tergantikan oleh kemajuan teknologi. Menghadapi tantangan tersebut diperlukan solusi yang solutif yaitu mengimplementasikan model pemuridan kontekstual sebagai panggilan pelayanan terhadap generasi milenial di era industri 4.0, sehingga membentuk generasi milenial supaya beridentitas Kristen dan bertumbuh menjadi dewasa dalam iman. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang melibatkan studi pustaka. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa model pemuridan kontekstual layak dijadikan pedoman dalam mengarahkan para generasi milenial di era indutri 4.0 agar mampu bertahan (survive) dalam perkembangan zaman yang semakin canggih.Kata kunci : Pemuridan, Kontekstual, Panggilan Pelayanan, Generasi Milenial, Revolusi Industri 4.0ABSTRACT - The current global globalization can not be dammed anymore its existence in the country of Indonesia. Indonesia has become one of a variety of countries that have been influenced by increasingly sophisticated technological and technological developments, so that the world has now entered the industrial era 4.0. Millennials have become one of those groups influenced by the development of instantaneous technology, even the important role of millennials has begun to subside replaced by technological advances. Facing these challenges requires a solution that is to implement a model of contextual discipleship as a service call to millennials in the industrial era 4.0, thus forming millennial generations so that Christian identity and growing into adulthood in the faith. The approach taken is a qualitative approach that involves the study of literature. This research concludes that the contextual discipleship model deserves to be used as a guideline in directing millennial generations in the 4.0 industry era to be able to survive in the development of increasingly sophisticated times.Key Words : Discipleship, Contextual, Service Call, Milennial Generation, Industrial Revolution 4.0

Diniyah education has been implemented by all educational institutions in Indonesia, starting from the lowest level, namely SD/MI to SMA/MA. Initially this diniyah education was implemented in Islamic boarding schools during the month of Ramadan. The aim is to foster morals, character, and strengthen worship for students during the month of Ramadan. The purpose of this study was to identify the role of diniyah education carried out in the world of education during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method is a literature study method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the role of diniyah education can be measured through 4 things, namely increasing student religiosity, developing sustainable education and in accordance with the development of the times, being patient with calamities, and increasing husnuzon attitudes in students.

Cervical cancer is one of the deadliest types of cancer that attacks women in the world. One of the treatment efforts for cancer is chemotherapy. Patients with cervical cancer who receive chemotherapy more than twice will experience impaired self-concept. This study aims to determine self-concept in cervical cancer patients who have undergone chemotherapy in Yogyakarta. This research uses qualitative method with phenomenology approach. Data collection is done with interview and observation. Participants totaling five people were determined by purposive sampling. The validity of the data used source triangulation and checked the data back to the participants. Analysis of data were by comparing among categories, marking and describing descriptively. The results of the study are 6 themes, namely physical changes, emotional changes, changes in sexual relations, changes in relationships with family, changes in the role of parenting and social changes in society. The impact of chemotherapy causes various changes in cervical cancer patients which make the self-concept of cervical cancer patients undergo changes

This study aims to determine the strategies of teachers, especially teachers in anticipating violence against students.One of the phenomena that has caught the attention of the world of education today is violence that occurs in the school environment. Violence between students will certainly affect the learning conditions in the classroom. Students who experience physical and verbal abuse will certainly feel psychologically disturbed. Disturbed psychological conditions will also trigger disruption of the enthusiasm and interest of students in learning.The role of the teacher is very necessary to reduce even if it can eliminate the condition. Based on these problems, this study aims to: (1) determine the role of PPKn teachers in anticipating violence against students; (2). Knowing the obstacles of PPKn teachers in anticipating violence against students; (3). know what efforts are made by the PPKn teacher in anticipating violence against students. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observations, interviews and documentation conducted in the environment of SMK 17 Serang City. The research results obtained in the field show that the PPKn teacher's strategy in anticipating violence in children is to provide understanding related to norms about diversity, fostering character to care for each other, carrying out positive activities in the school environment such as extracurricular or social activities. others in the classroom environment and broadly in the school, and invites parents to control the activities of children in their environment.the strategy carried out by the teachers is done as an effort to prevent and deal with violence against students.

Background/Context The central role of hope in teaching has long been acknowledged by authors such as Sonia Nieto and Larry Cuban, but hope has received little focused attention from scholars. This article seeks to compare multiple understandings of hope to examine how teachers can find hope in times of global crises that challenge the promise of a better future that is implicit in modern schooling. Purpose/Objective/Research Question/Focus of Study How can teachers find hope in hard times, when the usual promise of schools for a better future seems difficult to sustain? Research Design This article is an analytic essay. Conclusions/Recommendations This article concludes that while the long-dominant understandings of hope are inadequate for many teachers at times like these, Arendt's view of the hope that emerges in the unexpected occurrences of classroom life resonates strongly with the most rewarding and hopeful experiences of many teachers. Yet Arendt explains how the hope that teachers experience from these unpredictable and unexpected occurrences is not just a source of immediate reward, but rather contributes to political and social change. The article concludes with an account of Arendt's critique of historians’ narratives of social change and an affirmation of the impact that teachers can have as agents of change.

This chapter examines four themes that raise the question of the connection between cultural development and social change in the Scandinavian kingdoms: religious versus secular literature, the social importance of Christianity, the writing of history, and the formation of a courtly culture from the mid-thirteenth century onwards. In particular, it considers the extent to which cultural and literary expressions of these social changes were actively used to promote the interests of the monarchy, the Church, and the aristocracy. The chapter first discusses the role of the Church as the main institution of learning in Scandinavia and in the rest of Europe before assessing the extent to which Christianity penetrated Scandinavian society at levels below the clerical elite. It then turns to a charismatic figure, St. Birgitta of Vadstena in Sweden, and historical writing as a literary genre in medieval Scandinavia. Finally, it provides an overview of courtly culture in Scandinavia.

Discrimination of immigrant groups is an important social problem in many societies around the world. This study examines the moderating role of cultural diversity beliefs on the relation between dual identity and the intention to protest against immigrants’ discrimination. An experimental study was conducted among national samples of the three main immigrant-origin groups in the Netherlands. It was found that dual identity predicted the intention to protest against discrimination more strongly within a context of multicultural recognition compared to a context of assimilation or interculturalism. This demonstrates that multicultural recognition is a facilitating condition for dual identifiers to get involved in collective action for social change.

The article is devoted to the problem of the Russian intelligentsia identity formation in the 21st century. The authors trace a historical path that the Russian intelligentsia has gone through. Russian philosophers of the 20th century rated this path as tragic, noting that the intelligentsia itself wrote its own history, having captured it in great cultural texts well known in Russia and in the world. The need to understand oneself, one’s purpose, to understand the peculiarity of the situation in Russia and the world is an expression of the intelligentsia’s self-consciousness. Cultural memory, allowing the intelligentsia to maintain its own integrity, plays a leading role in shaping the identity of the intelligentsia. It allows for its own integrity to be maintained. The Russian intelligentsia is a socio-cultural type, including the complex mix of ideas and values which has been shaped since the end of the 18th century in difficult historical conditions. From the beginning, the intelligentsia tried to solve the problem of Russian modernization through enlightening, initiating social changes and participating in them. The Russian intelligentsia formed a special character - psychological traits and behavior, opposite to the type of European intellectuals. Until now, the Russian intelligentsia argues about itself, becoming sometimes closer to European intellectuals, but affirming sometimes its singularity. Nevertheless, in modern Russia there is a widespread perception that the intelligentsia is being replaced by a class of intellectuals - professionals, experts, and public intellectuals which strive to influence the formation of public discourse and the discourse of power. In the course of post-Soviet transformations, the intelligentsia began to lose not only the role of public and political actor, but also the role of the moral elite. The consequences of this process are destructive for younger generations and society as a whole. The study conducted by the authors of the article shows that the discourse of intelligentsia is changing as well as the discourse about it, although the intelligentsia is being constructed in a process of permanent dispute about the past, present and future of Russia. At the same time, intellectual identity is being formed in this dispute. So, it would be wrong to perceive the Russian intelligentsia as an unchanging phenomenon. Its openness to cultural and social changes allows us to talk about the formation of the intelligentsia of the 21st century. The study also reveals that the attitudes towards the intelligentsia expressed by the young generation of educated Russians living in an open, global world, are changing. The new vision of the intelligentsia is similar to its European perception as an intellectual elite. At the same time, a desire of young Russians to turn to the values historically constituting the moral code of the Russian intelligentsia, is observed. Thus, it cannot be said that the intelligentsia has disappeared from Russian public life; instead, the intelligentsia identity is a cultural challenge for the younger generation of modern Russians.
