Based on the quarterly data of all A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2019, this article uses the multi period double difference model to explore the causes and transmission mechanism of the linkage effect of the stock prices of the two cities after the implementation of the “Land-Hong Kong Stock Connect”. The results show that: first, after the implementation of “Land-Hong Kong Stock Connect”, the degree of herd behavior of domestic investors as a whole becomes higher, and the larger the company scale is, the higher the degree of herd behavior of investors is; secondly, after the implementation of “Land-Hong Kong Stock Connect”, all listed companies have the behavior of internal investors imitating external investors, especially small and medium-sized companies; finally, from the overall sample From the point of view, the imitation behavior of internal investors is indeed conducted through the investor network, but it is divided into three categories: large, medium and small companies. Only the imitation transmission path of large companies is the investor network, and small and medium companies do not realize the imitation behavior through the network. The research of this article is helpful to appeal for rational investment of investors and provide empirical evidence support for further opening of capital market.

Whether capital market opening improves the price discovery efficiency of stock market is an important issue. Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect (hereafter, SHKSC) is a milestone event in the opening up of China’s capital market. Based on SHKSC, using the method of PSM + DID, we study the impact of capital market opening on the price discovery efficiency from two dimensions-stock price information content and price reaction speed to information. Our research shows that capital market opening did not increase stock price information content, but speed up the reaction of price to information. Therefore, capital market opening improves capital market’s price discovery efficiency in terms of response speed of stock price to information. Further analysis shows that capital market opening affects stock price reaction speed through improving market information environment and reducing insider trading, but it has not yet had a substantial impact on listed companies’ earnings quality, which is the main participant in the capital market, and therefore has failed to influence the stock price information content. In order to maximize the effectiveness of capital market opening, it is necessary to introduce more effective policies to improve the information disclosure quality of listed firms and reduce the level of insider trading.

The research was carried out in the group of 100 investors, using the services of five brokerages with a long history of operation. The results of the research show that people’s psychological conditions and sentiment in the stock market play an important role in the decision-making process of investors in the capital market. The importance of this factor increased with the length of the investment period. The emotional states of people and their psychological conditions affect the stock price volatility. However, the complexity of the determinants of stock prices makes the market value of stocks can be affected by many factors at the same time and investors seem aware of this.

In order to address a series of issues, including energy security, global warming, and environmental protection, China has ranked first in global renewable investment for the seventh consecutive year. However, developing a renewable energy industry requires a significant capital investment. Also, the international oil price fluctuations have an important impact on the stock prices of renewable energy firms. Thus, in order to provide implications for market investment as well as policy recommendations, this paper studied the spillover effect of international oil prices on the stock prices of China’s renewable energy listed companies. We used a Vector Autoregressive (VAR) model with innovations using a Factor-GARCH (Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity) process to evaluate the impact of market co-movements and time-varying volatility and correlation between the international oil price and China’s renewable energy market. The results show that the international oil price has a significant price spillover effect on the stock prices of China’s renewable energy listed companies. Moreover, the fluctuations of international oil prices have an influence on the stock price variations of Chinese renewable energy listed companies.

AbstractThe group of sovereign wealth funds (SWF) is gaining growing importance in the discussion on corporate governance quality as critical success factor for the longrun performance of exchange listed companies. These institutional investors mostly act as long-term oriented minority block holders (anchor investors) in international capital markets. We show for a specific case how capital market participants evaluate SWF investments in exchange listed companies. From the overall stock price reaction we can conjecture that investors expect from this investment of Aabar a positive impact on the corporate governance. However, there is also the alternative explanation that SWF have superior target selection abilities which allow them to detect undervalued companies in an inefficient capital market.

This research investigates the relation between forecasting report disclosure and stock price fluctuations. The first hypothesize examine if there is a relation between two variables among companies which lead to fluctuation in the stock price and the second hypothesize examined these variables over research industries. Capital market reacts to new information in most cases- at least one month before the official date of the disclosure. We found evidence of fluctuation in stock prices before disclosure indicate that information was released to the market before official disclosure. In the other word, stock prices react to the unofficially released information and rumors to the market around the releasing new officially disclosure date. This fraudulent attempt was initiated by price manipulation in cases which we don't see significant price change during forecasted disclosure even if there are significant change in reported earning values. This investigation indicates that there is a significant relationship between releasing forecasted information and stock price fluctuations in the selected listed companies in TSE.
