The equipment reliability plays a critical role in business success because degradation in equipment condition negatively impacts plants’ output. When Toyota Motor Corporation operates overseas plants, equipment reliability management is one of the most important hurdles for global production which has to be overcome. It is important to develop an equipment reliability management program to minimize support from Japan to let overseas plants become self-reliant.This article explains how the Advanced TPS can be applied specifically to the equipment reliability process with equipment owner Total Production Maintenance (TPM). This business process focuses on managing equipment reliability to meet the business goals of Toyota Manufacturing USA.

A common way to represent organizational domains is the use of business process models. A Workflow-net (WF-net) is an application of Petri Nets (with additional rules) that model business process behavior. However, the use of WF-nets to model business processes has some shortcomings. In particular, no rules exist beyond the general constraints of WF-nets to guide the mapping of an actual process into a net. Syntactically correct WF-nets may provide meaningful models of how organizations conduct their business processes. Moreover, the processes represented by these nets may not be feasible to execute or reach their business goals when executed. In this paper, the authors propose a set of rules for mapping the domain in which a process operates into a WF-net, which they derived by attaching ontological semantics to WF-nets. The rules guide the construction of WF-nets, which are meaningful in that their nodes and transitions are directly related to the modeled (business) domains. Furthermore, the proposed semantics imposes on the process models constraints that guide the development of valid process models, namely, models that assure that the process can accomplish its goal when executed.

Technological and organizational excellence is the key element for business success in a modern business environment. In contemporary business environments, companies will restore and keep their competition capability not only by optimizing their own potentials, but mainly by utilizing capability of foreign resources and their connection to complete business process in the so called network organizations. Virtual organizations are a special form of network organizations. Among virtual organizations the so called Living Laboratory takes place. This chapter presents the findings of the research regarding the state of development and application of laser living laboratory management and governance system in Toolmakers Cluster of Slovenia.

Globalisation is a key pressure affecting the current and future use of the rangelands of Australia. While primary producers often perceive an insatiable demand for food as a guarantee of business success, declining population growth rates and high levels of productivity improvement in world food production are reducing the importance of food and fibre from the rangelands. This, combined with significant changes in consumer demands, is driving rangeland producers to meet market specifications for quality, safety, animal welfare and sustainability. Sustainability is a particular challenge with the rangelands certain to be affected by global warming and the politics and strategies required to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Currently the rangelands produce a higher proportion of greenhouse gases compared with their contribution to the economy. However, they also provide an opportunity for carbon sequestration. While international trade liberalisation has been of advantage to the grazing industries in the rangelands, increased global awareness of the Australian rangelands, facilitated by the communications revolution, is encouraging alternative uses including tourism, existence value and other conservation and biodiversity management uses. The growing concept of multi-functionality will also impact on the rangelands as international government programmes continue to encourage non-commercial, surplus production of food. These influences are forcing major changes in the way land is used and what it produces.

The effect of arsenic causes inhibition of seed germination decrease in plant height reduction in root growth, leaf area and photosynthesis and low grain yield.Arsenic and its compounds are known to have adverse health effects on humans, including cancers of the skin, bladder, kidney & lung, and diseases of the blood vessels of the legs and feet and diabetes. Atoms of arsenic bond with other elements forms molecules — if carbon is one of these elements, then the arsenic compound is an organic compound. The toxicity of arsenic is more in inorganic arsenicwhich is a known human carcinogen — organic and inorganic together are referred to as total arsenic. Inorganic Arsenate, Arsenate in ground water have caused tremendous epidemic poisoning across the globe. The persistence of heavy metals in the environment may pollute or contaminate soils and aqueous streams. Rice is cultivated an aerobically, rather than aerobically which leads to much greater arsenic mobilization.High soil arsenic caused by the reduction of phosphate and arsenate uptake through phosphate transporter. The goal of my work is to find method of reduction of arsenic content in rice. Rice is an important staple food for more than 3.5 billion people whodepend upon rice for more than 20 of their daily calories. It is cultivated over an area of 146 million hectares, which produces 474 million tons annually. Rice farming is the largest single use of land for food. India ranks number one globally in area 44 m ha under rice cultivation with 106 mt. production that stands next to China in total production. Our farmers are less aware in the field of use of rice variety specially arsenic tolerant. Although scientist have developed many good varieties of Rice but the information is either not reached to them or seeds are not available to the farmers so that the old variety they use may be not very nutritional, disease resistant and Arsenic tolerant.Instead of making people healthy they may be more effected by arsenic which causes dangerous diseases. Rice growers still face the challenge of meeting food and ecological security and raising standard of living of their families. To sustain even the present level of per capita availability of rice, we have to add another 70-80 million tones by 2050. This can be achieved by adopting long term strategy of crop productivity improvement,Arsenic and diseases resistant variety along with best growth management practice. I have taken this project on Quality and Quantity of Rice production for ecological security and socio economic development of Rice growers and rural people by use of correct suitable variety.

This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial marketing dimensions, including proactiveness, opportunity-focused, risk-taking orientation, innovation-oriented, customer intensity, resource leveraging, and value creation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) business success in the creative economy industry. The study also examined the moderating role of company age on the entrepreneurial marketing dimension's influence on SME's business success. The study used survey methods by distributing questionnaires to 265 SME business owners in North Kalimantan. The sampling method uses nonprobability sampling with a convenience sampling technique. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analyses and moderated tests using the macro process of SPSS Hayes. The results of this study indicated that in the context of SMEs in the creative industry, customer intensity and value creation play a critical role in business success. Meanwhile, proactiveness, opportunity-focused, risk-taking orientation, innovation-oriented, and resource leveraging found no impact on SMEs' business success. The research also proves that the company's age moderated the impact of customer intensity on SME's success but does not moderate the influence of value creation to SME's business success.

Technology plays a key role to create and maintain competitiveness in the universal arena. Technology is all the knowledge, processes, methods, tools, products and systems engaged in the design of goods or in providing services. Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) is a new technology whose adoption changes the industry’s manufacturing practice, production and approaches to design and management systems. Moreover, AMT plays a critical role in developing socio-economic environment and this brings further external effects to the country. Importance of technology for competitiveness is rising in emerging environment of AMT. The role of AMT had always been well understood in the developed nations, it is being touched by small scale and medium scale industries in developing country also. The importance of technology for business success and competitiveness has been confirmed empirically in several contexts.
