Abstract: Blood donation is a vital component of international healthcare and has suffered because of the pandemic. This paper aims to address this issue by proposing the creation of a totally transparent blood bank management system in which hospitals/NGOs input the quantity of each blood type in their stock, after which nearby users who are ready to donate are notified. Following extensive research, we observed that there is no structure in place that provides a communication link between the management of blood banks (Hospitals and NGOs) and the general public, allowing available donors to view which blood banks have a shortage of their blood group. The technology platform in implementing this system uses Python programming environment Django for SQL and deployment. For frontend development, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap were utilized. The system alleviates the issues created by blood shortages in blood banks by properly managing and providing a single platform for everyone. It makes information about available stock in each blood bank available to the public and this can be extended to multiple cities. Keywords: Blood donation, Blood stock, Hospital, Donor, System

Blood is one of the main components of our body helping in some of the major functions and its presence in right quantity is very important for proper functioning. Therefore, blood need is going increasingly and in great demand because of so increase in the numbers of accidents, surgery or diseases where blood production is very less resulting in loss of blood from the victim’s body. So, it is becoming a great need to propose a system which is very much efficient and time friendly and currently proposed system of online blood donation system is not much efficient and non-real time service. We have introduced our system where hospitals can directly contact the persons who have registered themselves having blood type same as required within their local area or person can donate blood himself to the nearest blood banks and his blood type updated in along with the total quantity of blood of different types available in the different blood banks. The time requirement of the blood by the needed has been improved effectively in our system.

A blood bank is the organisation responsible for storing blood to transfuse it to the patients in need. The primary goal of a blood bank is to be reliable and ensure that patients get the relevant non-toxic blood to avoid transfusion-related complications since blood is a critical medicinal resource. It is difficult for the blood banks to offer high levels of precision, dependability, and automation in the blood storage and transfusion process if blood bank administration includes many human processes. This research framework is proposing to maintain blood bank records using CNN model classification method. In the pre-processing of CNN method, the datasets are tokenized and set the donor’s eligibility. It will make it easier for regular blood donors to donate regularly to charitable people and organizations. A few machine learning techniques offer the automated website updation. Jupyter note book has been used to analyze the dataset of blood donors using decision trees, neural networks, and von Bays techniques. The proposed method operates online through a website. Moreover, the donor's eligibility status with gender, body mass index, blood pressure level, and frequency of blood donations is also maintained. Finally, the comparison of different machine learning algorithms with the suggested framework is tabulated.

Blood is one of the fundamental tissues of our body. Blood donation allows blood banks to meet hospital needs for blood components. Blood transfusion is an activity that carries a risk, originated by a series of causal actions derived from the individual characteristics of donors and patients. Blood components are biological products and as such, they can never be exempt from the risk of transmitting infectious diseases, such as hepatitis B, HIV, syphilis, among others. Thanks to the investigation of the donor database of the Blood Bank of Hospital Dr. Carlos Luis Valverde Vega and the annual statistics of the blood bank, the statistics referring to donations were obtained, according to the type, grade of acceptance and as well as the prevalence of mandatory screening infectious diseases in the blood bank, between the years 2015 and 2019, with the respective authorization of the corresponding scientific ethics committee. This study reported a prevalence for Anti HB Core of 0.99%, 0.14% for HBsAg, 0.11% for syphilis, 0.05% for hepatitis C, 0.02% for HIV and 0% for the disease de Chagas and HTLV I / II. By using the bases of this work, future analyzes with a similar premise may be developed in different blood banks of the different health centers in our country.

Nearly all of the Egyptian hospitals are currently suffering from shortage in rare blood types (e.g., -AB, -B, +AB), which are needed to perform vital surgeries. This leads them (hospitals or doctors) to ask patients' relatives to donate the amount of the required blood. The alternative is that they are forced to pay for the blood if the required type and amount is already available in these hospitals or the blood banks. The main idea of this work is solving problems related to the blood banks from collecting blood from donators to distributing blood bags for interested hospitals. This system is developed in order to enhance the management, performance, and the quality of services for the management of blood banks, which will be positively reflected on many patients in hospitals. This chapter targets undergraduate students, academic researchers, development engineers, and course designers and instructors.

Out of 118.5 million blood donations collected globally, 40% are collected in high income countries which compromises 16% of the world’s population. The median annual donations per blood centre are very low in low-income countries as compared to high-income countries. In high-income countries, the median blood donation rate is 31.5 donations per 1000 people, 15.9 per 1000 people in upper-middle-income countries and five donations per 1000 people in low-income countries, which is very low when compared. This indicates there is a huge gap between demand and supply. Most of the patients, due to the lack of communication between the donor and the recipient do not receive the blood in time and this may cost them their lives. The necessity for synchronisation between blood donors, hospitals, and blood banks is critical. The usage of online web portals has made it easy for the public to access and connect to other people and organizations. Using a portal we will be able to make blood donors easily available for the receivers. An online web portal where the hospitals and blood banks are integrated will make it easy for the receivers to get access to blood.

In today's globalized world the surge of smartphones and social networking sites across the world has increased rapidly, which has also become one of the most efficient ways to solve problems. Blood is an important constituent of the human body also known as the RIVER OF LIFE. Blood banks oftentimes suffer from a shortage of blood; therefore, advertisements are frequently seen on social networks urging healthy individuals to donate blood. With a growing population and advances in medical treatments and procedures requiring blood transfusions, the demand for blood continues to increase. To resolve this, communication between the hospital, blood bank, donor, and the receptor is important. Emergencies, like accidents, create an immediate, critical need for specific blood types. Despite increasing requirements for blood, only about 7% of the Indian population donates blood. Hence, we developed a new idea, just a touch away. Donors will be prompted to enter individual details, like name, phone number, and blood type thus facilitating the search process. One can quickly check for contacts matching related blood groups and reach out to them via Phone call/SMS through the Blood Bank application. This application is based on location (GPS), operational on an android platform, has a vision towards making the most important fluid running in our body available to everyone.

BloodLine offers new horizons for health that gives aid services by utilizing the mobile devices and communication technologies. In health care services, blood donation could be a advanced method and consumes time to search out some donor who has the compatibility of people with the patient. The planned system is an android primarily based blood bank application to determine a affiliation between the requester and donor at anytime and anyplace. A bank as we all know provides blood to folks in would like now and then of emergency. The bank system is intended in such the way that users will read the knowledge concerning registered blood donors which is able to facilitate within the hour of would like. The planned system includes a login page wherever the user is needed to register, however user doesn't got to register if he doesn't notice the specified result. The user also can register to give blood on the system if they want to. therefore this technique helps to pick out the proper donor instantly using people. the most aim of developing this technique is to scale back the time to an excellent extent that's spent in searching for the proper donor and also the convenience of blood needed. therefore the planned system provides the desired info quickly and additionally helps in faster higher cognitive process.
