Nowadays environmental issues challenge the educational field to cultivate problem solving process and creative thinking skills in students. The objective of this research was to observe the problem solving process and creative thinking of students at State Senior High School in Klaten Regency in solving the ecosystem problem based on the academic ability (high, medium, and low). This research was qualitative which used think-aloud technique in which the subjects (S) were nine students chosen by using stratified random sampling technique. The data analysis used was triangulation. The problem solving process skill was scored from the students’ thinking structure in tackling the problem served. Furthermore, the students’ creative thinking ability was measured from the students’ final results in coping ecosystem problem which then was scored based on the creative thinking skill rubric. The results showed that there were errors found in problem solving process of S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S8 and S9 due to their lack of background knowledge. Meanwhile, the errors resulted by S7 were caused of misconception. In addition, the students who had high, medium, and low academic abilities tended to have the creative qualifications as creative, medium, and less creative in sequence.

Students' low creative thinking skills and difficulty in drawing graphs from the given algebraic equations are the background of this study. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical creative thinking abilities between Android-based GeoGebra and ordinary learning. This study also investigated students’ responses to the application of Android-based GeoGebra. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design. The instruments were a creative thinking test and a questionnaire. The subjects of this study were students of one of the junior high school in Cianjur selected by purposive sampling technique. The studied material was the quadratic equations as a part of algebra. The gain index data analysis technique used was the normality test and the Mann Whitney test while the questionnaire data responses were analyzed through the average percentage of students’ answers. As a result, the students' mathematical creative thinking ability with Android-based GeoGebra was better than ordinary learning. Also, the students provided positive responses to the application of Android-based GeoGebra.

Abstract: This study aims to improve students' creative thinking skills in science lessons by applying learning models using Problem Based Learning. The research subjects were 32 students in class VII G. The classroom action research was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages of activity, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Written tests and questionnaires are used to measure creative thinking skills of cognitive and affective aspects. The results of the study were analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis and n-gain test to determine the increase in research results. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that students' creative thinking abilities increased accompanied by an increase in classical learning completeness. The average percentage of creative thinking ability in the first cycle was 74.4%, the second cycle was 77.7%, and the third cycle was 81.5%. The percentage of completeness in the second cycle increased 9.4% and the third cycle increased 3.1% with the criteria of a low increase. It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model is able to improve the creative thinking skills of class VII G students in MTsN 5 Kediri. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, the increase of creative thinking skill, science lessons.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada pelajaran IPA dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Abstract. The ability to think creatively is one of the 21st century skills that students must possess. This ability can be improved by using a learning model that exposes students to problems directly. This research aims to increase teacher activity, student activities, creative thinking skills, and student academic achievement by implementing Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model in class XI IPA 2 SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin. The research applied classroom action research (CAR) design with 2 cycles. The subjects were 39 eleventh grade students of natural science class. The data were analyzed by percentage and descriptive quantitative technique. The results showed that the teacher's activity in the implementation of the action increased from 70.15% (good) to 85.46% (very good). Student activity in cycle I 67.27% (quite active) to 85% in cycle II (active). Students' creative thinking ability for fluency indicators was originally 59.25% to 77.42%, flexibility which was originally 37.25% to 55.03%, elaboration which was originally 39.75% to 69.75%. Classical cognitive of students with a percentage of 69.23% increased to 87.17%. Students’ affective increased from 53.35% to 70.15% in cycle II and students' psychomotor learning outcomes were originally 59.69% to 69.4% in cycle II.  Keywords: creative thinking ability, academic achievement, creative problem solving                          Abstrak. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu dari keterampilan abad 21 yang harus dimiliki siswa.
