Currently, the activities of the Semarapura Kaja community are not optimizing due to the Covid-19 pandemic which is an obstacle to working as usual, one of which is the people in Klungkung Regency. The problem faced by the Semarapura Kaja community, namely the lack of English language skills among the youth of Semarapura Kaja village in the field of tourism as a tour guide. Lack of training or English teaching facilities both in terms of socialization and field practice, the solution offered and the purpose of holding community service activities is to carry out English training partnership program activities for tour guides in Semarapura Kaja Village to promote the tourist areas / services offered. The method used in this research is qualitative research through the interview stage to find out partner problems. Sources of data used in this study are primary data by conducting field observations to determine the problems faced by the local community. The results show that there is an increase in understanding the use of English for tour guides and being able to describe directions or tourist attractions in English.

Desa Cibuntu (Cibuntu Village) is a tourism-based village located at the foot of Mount Ciremai, Pasawahan District, Kuningan, West Java. The village is located approximately 20 KM from the center of Kuningan City. Cibuntu Village has a variety of uniqueness that is owned both in nature, culture and history. Cibuntu Village is declared as a Tourism Village as stipulated in the Decree of the Head of the Kuningan District Tourism and Culture Office Number 55631 / KPTS.178.A Disparbud / 2012 concerning the designation of Cibuntu Village as an Object and Attraction (Tourism Village). Guiding tours become very important because they are part of the service. Lack of communication skills and mastery of English become the main obstacle in guiding tourism activities in the Cibuntu Tourism Village. The people who are assigned as guides seem to only have capital, so the delivery of information is not packaged properly to tourists. Referring to these conditions, then the solution is coaching and mentoring in an effort to improve the ability to guide tours through a series of training. The training will be classified into two categories, namely tour guides and English training for tour guides. The methods to be used include lectures, questions and answers, discussions. To improve the ability to guide in English will focus on drilling models and role play. As targets to be achieved are (a) increasing the ability of understanding the role of the tour guide, (b) increasing the ability of the community in the tour guide, (c) increasing the ability of English in guiding activities especially when guiding foreign tourists, (d) increasing communication skills when guide the tour. To achieve these targets the activity implementation team will work together with the association of Indonesian tour guides and professional guides.

Vatuvou beach, located in the Village Vatuvou, Liquica District      of East Timor, has the potential to be developed into a tourist attraction, but until now its potential has not fully developed yet. The aim of this study is to determine the potential of Vatuvou Beach, to know how the local community have been involved to develop Vatuvou beach, to formulate the most effective strategies to develop it has a community based tourist attraction. The results of this study indicated that Vatuvou coastal region could be used as a tourist attraction in the District of Liquisa, because it has the existing potential such as beach panorama with sunset, black sandy beaches and under–sea wealth, availability of facilities and infrastructure to support tourism, such as water, electricity, road, telecommunication, public toilets, parking, and accommodation (but still limited). Socio-cultural potential as hospitality of the people in the village of Vatuvou, traditional activities, such as handcrafted, and rituals performed by people in the village of Vatuvou. In addition, the strategic location of the Vatuvou beach easily leads to some nearby tourist attraction, such as lake Maubara, Maubara Fort, historical buildings of Portuguese’s heritage, and souvenir center. The involvement of community participation in the coastal development of Vatuvou has been through the initial proceses, namely planning stage, development and evaluation of activities that have been implemented. Through the description, it can be concluded that the strategy of tourism development of Vatuvou beach can be made by the following procedures (1) Increasing the quality and quantity of human resources in tourism, (2) Inviting foreign or local investors to the potential of the existing tourism sectors, (3) Developing the potential of cultural as tourist attractions, and (4) Improving tourism facilities and infrastructure to support tourism activities in Vatuvou coastal areas.

The Employment Skills Education Program (PKK) is a government assistance program that aims to prepare human resources who are skilled, have character, are competitive, and have the ability to innovate. This is an aid to industry-based courses and training and entrepreneurial opportunities. Through the results of initial observations that have been made, graduated students of English Literature Faculty of Letters UNARS do not have special courses on skills as a tour guide. Through the English for Tour Guide Training program those who are interested in following the skills as a tour guide are included as participants in the 2021 PKK program and will be trained to have competence as a tour guide. PKM program participants who gain the skills to become tour guides will be very useful as their provision to find work. In collaboration with the AUSEI course institution as a service partner for PKM activities, it is hoped that later PKK program participants will have a competency certificate to work. This training and mentoring are carried out for approximately three months where students are given English language guidance and training that focuses on the English for Tour Guide material. During the training, students also had the opportunity to discuss and ask questions if they encountered problems during the training to reach the right solution. The expected outcome of this PKM activity is that students have special skills in English about English for Guides as evidenced by a certificate of competence.   Keywords: English, English for Tour Guide, PKK program.

The study aims to (1) describe the perception of sugarcane farmers in the district was on a partnership with PT PG Gorontalo farmers. (2) describe the factors that influence the success of the partnership program sugarcane farmers in the district was by PT PG Gorontalo. (3) analyze the contribution of sugarcane farmer partnership with PT PG Gorontalo to the income of farmers in the district was. This research is quantitative. Sources of data in this study are primary data from questionnaires to farmers. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, regression and simple regression. These results indicate that (1) The partnership pattern obtained and applied to partnerships sugar cane farmers in the district was by PT PG. Tolangohula namely Gorontalo Province Operational Cooperation patterns Agribusiness (KOA). Farmer partnerships to provide benefits to growers of sugar cane but still less than optimal on the issue of determining the selling price of sugarcane is not appropriate and farmers' rights and obligations of the partner company of farmers not fulfilled in accordance with the terms and agreements. (2) The results of multiple regression analysis about factors that affect the success of the partnership of farmers found that internal factors, external factors, the characteristics of partnership, participation of farmers and supporting components of the partnership jointly significant effect on the success of the partnership program sugarcane growers of the people in the district was the value of the determinant of 63.30%, while it partially only variable that does not pick internal factors have a significant effect. (3) Partnerships sugar cane farmers in the district was by PT PG Gorontalo positive and significant impact on people's income taboo Sugarcane farmers in the district was the positive benefit contribution rate of 0.268 or by 26.8%. This shows that the partnership is very beneficial for farmers' incomes but its implementation still need to be addressed in order to provide a greater contribution to the income of farmers folk taboo.

Tibu sampi waterfall is a waterfall that has the potentiality and opportunities to be developed into a tourist attraction. However, the development of this waterfall has not been optimally reached. This study aims to determine the development of Tibu Sampi Waterfall as a tourist attraction. This study uses qualitative data with data sources in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data sources are obtained through observation, interview and documentation techniques with the technique of determining individual sample selection. The results of this study indicate that there are internal and external obstacles in the development of Tibu Waterfall as a tourist attraction. The internal obstacles are divided into three, namely the limited capital owned by Gunung Salak village; lack of adequate human resources in the field of tourism; and lack of promotion in the development of tourist attractions. The external obstacle is lack of contributions from investors.  Of the various obstacles faced and slowing down the development of Tibu Waterfall as a tourist attraction, the community must create several efforts including the government or related parties to provide tourism education and training to the local community; to improve tourism products; to disseminate information in the form of brochures and guidebooks; to improve structuring and infrastructure; to cooperate with investors; to make local culture an attraction for tourists;  and to develope tour packages.    Keywords: Study of development, tourist attraction, Gunung Salak Village, Tibu Sampi Waterfall

Alas Kedaton tourist is a natural tourist attraction. The tourist attraction offered such as forests, monkeys and bats in this natural attraction. In the middle of the Alas Kedaton forest there is a Dalem Kahyangan Kedaton temple that is unique. The choice of this location as a place of research is to find out how the management and role of the local community of Kukuh Village in developing Alas Kedaton as a tourist attraction. The research methodology used is this study is a descriptive qualitative research, with observation, interview, literature study and documentation techniques. Data sources are obtained from primary data and secondary data. The theory or concept used is the concept of role, local society, tourist attraction and management. The result of this research is that management in Alas Kelaton tourist attraction involves local communities actively. The involvement and role of the local community of Desa Kukuh is empowered to become a member of the management body, counter staff, janitors, local guides, security officers, Alas Kedaton Trader Group (KPAK) and as well as forming tourism awareness organisations such as tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis). Purpose This study aims to examine peoples’ perception of climate change. It assessed their attitude, behavioural motivation for mitigating and adapting to climate change in the two capital cities of South Asia: Islamabad in Pakistan and Dhaka in Bangladesh. Design/methodology/approach This study used the quantitative research technique based on responses of 800 close-ended questions embedded in a close-ended questionnaire, which were filled-out from randomly selected sample of respondents. The primary data was analysed and presented through tabulation. For binary dependent variables, the standardised logistic coefficients were projected for more reliable estimates. Findings The findings reveal that the population of both capital cities have a low personal perception of climate change. Also, the dwellers of both cities have a low level of motivation to take mitigative and adaptive measures against climatic hazards. The results of the logistic regression model further indicate that the people who believe that climate change is a threat to their lives are more likely to adopt mitigative and adaptive strategies. This mostly applies to the people with a relatively higher income and education level. Research limitations/implications This study implies to create awareness and sensitise the local community in both the capitals and beyond through information dissemination. Further, the availability of toolkits to handle emergencies remains imperative in registering attitudinal and behavioural changes to reduce the impacts of climate variability in poor localities. Originality/value This research study analysed the link between climate change mitigation and energy conservation from the societal attributes of perception, motivation, attitude and behaviour, which remains essential for community-based mitigation against climatic hazards.

The growing number of Japanese tourists to Bali has resulted in large numbers of workers in the tourism sector, such as Japanese language tour guide, GRO and hotel staff, Japanese travel agency staff and others. To provide good service to Japanese tourists, the quality of tourism practitioners also need to be improved both from the attitude, hospitality, security and the ability to speak Japanese so that Japanese tourists feel comfortable while on the island of Bali. Efforts to improve the ability of Japanese language, the vocabulary knowledge of tour guide is needed to be able to use the vocabulary in context. Based on the phenomenon, then this paper discusses the variety of Japanese vocabulary that is often used when doing tourism activities in some tourist attractions in Gianyar regency. The problems discussed in this paper is what kind of tourist vocabulary is commonly spoken Japanese tourists when visiting the tourist attraction on the island of Bali. In general, this study aims to support the program of Welcome to Bali in order to become more popular bali tourism that can increase the number of Japanese tourists to come to visit the island of Bali. The specific purpose of this research is to (1) know the Japanese language vocabulary of tourism spoken by Japanese tourists so that the vocabulary can be used as a reference for tourism practitioners in order to increase the knowledge of Japanese language vocabulary of tourism. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Research approach by processing the data source that is descriptive by using descriptive method qualitatif. The research was done in tourist object in Ubud area. The data types are primary data with lingual data sources obtained from Japanese tourist communications. The observations show that the vocabulary spoken by Japanese tourists is a vocabulary that is related to cultural and natural activities such as esute, chiketto, raisu terasu, kojin takushi, mise, subarashii. Japanese tourists often use joshi as a complement to a speech to tourism practitioners in communicating. Joshi also sometimes omitted in speech but still acceptable.

The form of local community wisdom is the basic capital in an effort to conserve forest resources. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the form and benefits of local wisdom of the Sepa Village community in supporting the conservation of forest resources. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained from questionnaires and in-depth interviews, questionnaires addressed to respondents through interview questions guide. Secondary data were obtained from documents related to the research objectives. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. A qualitative approach is used to provide reinforcement from the data obtained through interviews and observations and presented in the form of narrative text. The results of the study explain that the forms of local wisdom of the people of Sepa Country are dusung, sasi, pamali places, and sacred places. The benefit of applying wisdom in supporting forest conservation is that at first glance the terminology is full of mystical beliefs, and seems irrational. However, if you absorb it deeply, how the people of Sepa Country have given lessons about the importance of protecting flora and fauna in the environment in order to maintain balance and preserve nature

Kolorai Village has a variety of tourism potentials, they are cultural tourism, nature tourism, and marine tourism. Marine tourism is a type of tourism that has become the mainstay of Kolorai Village and has the opportunity to have a positive impact on the economic development of coastal communities. The research is located in Kolorai Village, South Morotai District, Morotai Island Regency. This study aims to analyze the impact of marine tourism on the economic conditions of the local people in Kolorai Village, South Morotai District, Morotai Island Regency. The research method conducted by using a quantitative method with Crosstab analysis techniques to exam the correlation between the existence of marine tourism and changes in income levels. Data collection was carried out by collecting primary data through questionnaires, interviews, and field observations as well as secondary data collection from document review. The results showed that the presence of marine tourism in Kolorai Village had a significant impact on the economy of the local community. This can be seen from the existence of new livelihood opportunities for local people who are not only as fishermen but also as marine tourism business actors and tourism accommodation service providers. The existence of accessibility and diversification of tourist attractions also affects the dynamics of community income in the marine tourism sector.
