Creating inclusive classrooms is a challenge in general education. To prepare new teachers for diverse K-12 classrooms, faculty at one Midwestern university redesigned their education program to prepare preservice teachers for dual licensure in general and special education. The redesign required middle childhood faculty to learn more about complex conceptual frameworks that are prioritized in school districts across the country. One of these, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), became a non-negotiable component of the new program. An essential learning outcome became preparing pre-service teachers to utilize UDL. After the program was approved, content-area faculty questioned whether they were prepared to implement the framework. Having varied expertise in UDL, faculty wondered if they were teaching UDL effectively, and questioned whether they were modeling UDL concepts with fidelity in their own teaching. Thus, the Dual Licensure Implementation Team (DLIT) was born. This case study describes the process and product of the team's effort to implement UDL with fidelity.

Abstract The Randugunting Dam, located in Blora Regency, is planned to have a capacity of 10.40 million m and is expected to irrigate an area of 630 Ha, providing a raw water supply of 0.15 m/second. The construction activity of the Randugunting Dam is one of the construction works that has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, namely cash flow is hampered. Therefore we need an analysis of cash flow management scenarios and determining strategies for handling the impact of the pandemic on implementation. The data used in this study is the result of interviews with the project implementation team for the Randugunting Dam construction, and data on the project cost budget. Cash flow management analysis is carried out by applying 3 scenarios, namely: scenario 1 (fixed time), scenario 2 (slowed down time), and scenario 3 (accelerated time). The analysis was carried out with the help of the Microsoft Project 2010. The determination of the handling strategy in this study used the DSS (Decision Support System) method, and the SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat). The results of the study chose scenario 3, which is to speed up the time of 6 months. Acceleration is done by increasing the working time. The annual cost required is higher than scenario 1 (fixed time) and 2 (delayed time by 7 months), but the building is completed faster and can be used immediately. The strategy generated by SWOT analysis is Diversity Strategy and produces 8 (eight) strategies. Diversity Strategy is a strategy by maximizing internal strength factors (S), namely increasing the internal capabilities of project implementers and avoiding external threat factors (T), especially related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract This paper provides the learnings from a successful application of a smart completion in a complex heterogeneous carbonate reservoir. It details the study, planning, coordination, and implementation process of two pilot wells by a multidisciplinary team, and pilot production performance results, illustrating the success. First, to select an optimum completion design for the field, multi-segment well option and local grid refinement option were applied to the reservoir simulation model including calibration of faults/fractures. Second, based on the modified model, sensitivity analysis was conducted; 1) by selecting different types of completion including Open-hole, blank pipes (BP), compartmentalized slotted liners (SL), inflow control device (ICD) and hydraulic flow control valve (FCV); 2) by optimizing the number of compartments (packer and blank pipe placements for all cases), and ICD / FCV numbers and nozzle sizes. Using the data from the modeled cases, economic analysis was conducted, which indicated that the ICD in conjunction with sliding sleeves (SSD) was the best option. Two candidate wells were selected to cover the variation of reservoir characteristics: one well representing the heterogeneous part of the reservoir with high-density of faults, fractures and kurst, and another one representing the relatively homogenous part of the reservoir suffering from heel to toe effect. A multidisciplinary implementation team was set up to align all stakeholders on subsurface requirements, following up the completion design, coordinating material procurement and logistics for mobilizations, daily drilling operations follow-up, real-time logging data interpretations and completion design adjustment. Evaluation of the two pilots’ results based on predefined KPIs during the study, exceeded overall expectations.

There is a variable standard of access to quality neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnosis. People may have negative experiences, encountering lengthy waiting times, and inconsistent practices. Practitioners need guidance on standards and practices for assessment and diagnosis matched to new ways of working. In this paper, we present a new pathway and recommendations for multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnosis for children and young people (<19 years), developed by the Scottish Government funded National Autism Implementation Team (NAIT). Our research used the Medical Research Council guidance for the development of complex interventions and included several iterative stages. Stage 1: n = 44 stakeholders attended an event on developing new practices for diagnosis and assessment. Stage 2: a literature synthesis was completed by the research team of clinical guidelines and diagnosis and assessment tools. Stage 3: an event with n = 127 stakeholders included discussion and debate of the data from stages 1 and 2. Recommendations and a draft pathway were written. Stage 4: successive drafts of recommendations and the pathway documentation were circulated among an advisory group, including multidisciplinary clinical experts and people with lived experience, until the final pathway was agreed upon. The finalised pathway includes guidance on terminology, assessment, diagnosis, triage, time standards and engagement of people with lived experience. The new pathway has been adopted by the Scottish Government. The pathway and associated documentation are freely available online for use by others.
