Introduction. When implementing investment and construction projects in the field of civil engineering, most of the design decisions affecting the environmental and economic efficiency are taken at the initial stages of the project implementation. Existing methods of environmental audit in construction, legislatively and methodologically substantial at the analysis of environmental impact of construction site at the stages of operation and recycling, do not standardize and do not regulate ecological damage, earlier accumulated during production of building materials and products, and also caused during construction and assembly works. The offered principle of environmental and economic efficiency consists of the analysis and quantity and price accounting of environmental factors during the selection of building materials, and also building machines and mechanisms already at a stage of site design. Materials and Methods. The information base of the research is analytical and statistical information of the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia (Rosstat), Federal State Information System of Pricing (FSI SP). Results and methods of theoretical and scientific and practical researches of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of state regulation and stimulation of resource saving, sustainable development and green building; environmental and economic analysis of construction products cost are used. Results. The proposed principle makes it possible to make changes in the design of buildings from the point of view of environmental friendliness and energy consumption, taking into account the impact on the environment at the stage of construction. The result of the research is the analysis of natural resource intensity of construction products in the standard housing construction, applied methodology for evaluation of the eco-cost of construction resources used in civil engineering. Conclusions. The considered principle will enable to implement a sustainable approach in planning and implementation of investment and construction projects, which will significantly reduce environmental pollution from the point of view of minimizing the carbon impact from the construction industry and will contribute to improving the environmental and economic situation in Russia.

The introduction provides a brief review of the literature on methods for assessing the effectiveness of investment projects, based on which the choice of optimal sources of financing is made. In the main part of the work, various scenarios for the implementation of an investment project are disclosed: sources of financing that are alternative to the baseline scenario are attracted. In the final part of the work, the considered scenarios are assessed and conclusions are drawn. For each enterprise, improving the financial and economic efficiency of its activities is one of the priority tasks. These tasks include the need to increase the return on capital, the choice of funding sources that have a positive effect on economic efficiency. This paper examines the ways of choosing the optimal, from the point of view of the impact on economic efficiency, instruments for financing an investment project. A practical case of project financing with an assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of an investment project is considered. To analyze the alternatives, a financial business model was developed, which allows you to quickly make changes, update performance indicators and make decisions about the required capital structure. It is concluded that the optimal capital structure with the highest NPV indicator and that when assessing the efficiency parameters, it is necessary to make an adjustment for the possible presence in the company's capital structure of funding sources that distort the comparability of the project in relation to projects without such sources (for example, budget grants).

Mobile computing technology has an enormous potential in civil engineering, mainly in the field of construction management. This paper presents an approach by using mobile computing in a civil engineering construction project, exploring how information can be exchanged at a construction site, and how billing of quantities (BOQ), drawings and specifications are shared for the benefit of the project. One of the major obstacles in using information technology (IT) when applied to civil engineering is due to the dynamic changes in the construction activities and the diversity of construction methods as compared to other industries. This has proved to be a great disadvantage when trying to give construction sites adequate IT support. Computers require infrastructure, which can be transferred easily to the head office, but rarely to the construction site itself in a systematic way. Therefore, the impact of IT on the way the construction industry actually works has not been significantly utilized. This paper consists of two main parts. The first part defines the concept of mobile computing, describes some recent research, and stresses the potential for the construction industry. The second part is focuses on an approach, implementing mobile computing in a real construction site.

Abstract Abusir is the name of an elaborate burial area, dotted with 19 pyramids other temples, stretching on the western side of the Nile from the south of the Giza Plateau to the northern rim of Saqqara. It seems to have been created as the resting site for the Pharaos dated from 2494 to 2345 BC. The name Abusir, originally spoken as Busiri, means” temple of Osiris”. Over time, the name has become so popular, that more than 60 villages now carry this name. But only one is the archaeological site. This paper does not refer to all of the Abusir archaeological area, but focuses one of its most important sites: Sahure pyramid, one of Egypt’s little known, but heavily damaged treasure. One of the highlights of the relevant research is the discovery of a piece of cement (Basaltic mortar/concrete), which consists of several materials and which is harder than any cement produced today and detection of a clear and significant Anorthite mineral (Plagioclase) in the mortar sample which had been proven by XRD, XRF (analysis) and Polarized light microscope (investigation). The main objectives of this paper are 1) to reveal and identify the construction materials of the pyramid and the construction of the pyramid,2) to evaluate the durability and vulnerability of the Ancient construction materials of Sahure pyramid,3) to compare the decayed patterns of the different construction materials, 4) to study the pyramid building materials from geological, meteorological, geochemical, petrological and petrophysical point of view, and 5) to present a proposal for scientific conservation and protection of the pyramid. Laboratories and field studies have been carried out by researchers from various countries to investigate and understand the problems of the pyramid leading to the final results which confirmed the impact of the geo environment conditions on the structural and engineering stability of the pyramid.

Computer science and the humanities seem to belong to two opposite sides within the spectrum of scientific methods and research. In the domain of digital humanities, however, formalization and hermeneutic interpretation have to be integrated. As will be argued in this article, this integration provides a fundamentally new challenge to both disciplines. In particular, researchers from the humanities want to be sure that using the tools provided by computer science (big data, machine learning, etc.) do not change insights in any non-expected way. However, even if this could be partially secured, it cannot be achieved in general for most of the research practices. As will be demonstrated in the context of digital editions in musicology, it is impossible to design technology in a neutral or context-free manner. Due to the interests of different actors and institutions, numerous design conflicts arise where the implementation of requirements violates other, equally valid demands. To balance these conflicting requirements invariably brings some bias to the overall design. Thus, it is important to develop a strategy for identifying potential influences as well as the impact of design decisions throughout the whole process of developing tools and infrastructures. The paper presents an approach for hypotheses driven design of digital tools and infrastructures from a computer science point of view, placing great emphasis on supporting mutual understanding and ensuring a transparent design process.

Most construction projects are suffering from claims due to many reasons. Claim emergencies have risen for ten years due to the critical political situation. These claims have a bad impact on all groups who were work in the construction field. The impact of claim could be followed to cost overrun, loss of efforts and suspension of work, contract termination. This investigation means to recognize the real reason for causes of claim in construction and demonstrate their difference between respondent concerning individual, company and organization traits. It also aims found the important factors in developing for the management of construction project claim to predict claim occurrence and to mitigate the negative impact of a claim. The objective of the study achieved through a valid questionnaire obtained from several construction companies. The questionnaire survey was conducted involving the contractor, consultant, client point of view. The result of the questionnaire encountered in the SPSS software for finding the major factor that affects the construction. The finding demonstrates the absence of site attention to detect claims, detachment or inaccessible of related documents proactively, and conflicts which develop during owner/contractor negotiation are all critical issue related with the system of claim management. My work aims to distinguish the various claims through review paper and to recognize the most impacted causes of claim in our region.

Motivation is one of the factors that influence the productivity of people. Architects play a vital role in the management of projects in the construction industry. The success of construction projects relies heavily on their active involvement and effective performance. Hence it is important to assess the impact of motivation on the performance these architects. On the other hand, architects are frequently confronted with problems that could lead them to demotivation. Demotivation is caused not simply by a lack of motivators but the existence of certain situations that cause dissatisfaction and discourage individuals from pursuing desired goals and aims. From this point of view, the present study conducted with the aim of identifying factors affecting demotivation of Turkish architects. After a review of extant literatures in construction management, and design management 69 demotivating criteria was produced and used in questionnaire survey, and data were collected from architects who are working at construction industry, especially at design firms. The questionnaires were administered to architects via e-mail, and 71 participants responded to the survey. Utilizing the particular statistical analyzes, the factors were identified for detailed analysis and discussion. From the findings of the present study, ten underlying demotivating factors have been identified for architects in Turkish construction industry. This study would help managers of design firms to develop healthy workforce through eradication of the identified demotivating factors using some of suggested solutions.
