In the world practice of recent decades, monorail transport systems have been actively developing as an element of the mass passenger transport system. There is a monorail line in Moscow, which has exhausted its operational reserves and needs reconstruction. The article discusses the possible directions of development of the monorail in Moscow. Five possible directions of development have been identified, including the transformation of the line into other modes of transport (tram), the construction of an extension of the monorail line in various directions, the arrangement of urban public spaces and the renewal of rolling stock. Construction of an extension of the existing monorail line, rebuilding the system into a tramway, arrangement of a linear fleet — these are very costly options that require a significant amount of time to discuss projects. The most promising direction in the development of the system is the renewal of the rolling stock or its complete replacement while preserving the linear part of the monorail.

The proposed article is devoted to the description of an intelligent urban passenger transport system based on unmanned electric vehicles, sequentially moving along a separate line. This system is a passenger transport system of a new urban mobility, formed under the influence of social conditions generated by high population density in cities, that suppose the development of pedestrian zones and ecological modes of transport, "transport as a service", etc. In this historical context, public transport systems acquire special relevance. The described transport system belongs to intelligent systems, since it is capable of functioning in autonomous mode without human intervention, adaptively responding to changes in the dynamics of the flow of passengers during the day. Passengers are transported by electric cars, which can be combined into cassettes according to the principle of road trains based on the transportation plan drawn up by the intelligent center of the transport system according to the matrix of correspondences, filled in taking into account the incoming requests for service from passengers. When drawing up a transportation plan, the algorithms of the transport system give preference to transportation according to the "source-destination" principle, that is, when the passenger goes to the destination with a minimum number of intermediate stops, and ideally without them. The paper formulates also a criterion of arising of a conflict in the movement of vehicles, which allows to identify situations when an electric vehicle driving in front can detain vehicles following after. The work has relevance because the criterion will allow to make adjustments in the schedule of movement of vehicles and exclude the loss of time and energy that carries the transport system during braking and acceleration of electric cars, as well as to reduce waiting time and travel of passengers.

The development of transport infrastructure of large cities with high population density and development should be carried out on the basis of innovative technical solutions, that allow to simplify the conditions of laying of tracks, reduce the cost of construction, reduce noise, provide comfort to passengers and reduce the cost of operating rolling stock. One such solution, the effectiveness of which is confirmed by foreign experience, is the use of linear asynchronous traction drive (LATD) in urban rail and maglev transport systems. This, in particular, allows to increase the allowable value of slope paths to 6065, reduce the vertical dimensions of rolling stock to 3.15 m, reduce the diameter of the tunnel by 2530%. The release of the wheel pair from the function of the implementation of traction effort makes it possible to apply on the wagons the articulated semi-frames of trolleys, that ensures better rolling stock in curves, and as a result - less wear of wheels and rails and less noise. This article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of LATD compared to the traction drive of traditional execution, considers variants of constructive performance of linear induction motors (LIM), processes of electromechanical energy conversion in LIM, the option of building a LATD control system is presented. The article examines the flat LIM, which have found use in the transport systems of major cities in Asia and America. The processes of energy conversion in LIM are distinguished by the presence of a longitudinal edge effect, which determines the distortion of the resulting magnetic field, which is manifested in the reduction of induction and the displacement of the peak of the induction distribution curve to the escaping edge of the inductor. This effect is particularly manifested in high-speed LIMs with high quality. When the linearity of the magnetic environment is allowed, the resulting electromagnetic force of the LIM can be considered as the sum of electromagnetic forces created by the main field, as well as the direct and reverse fields of the longitudinal edge effect. The edge effects reduce efficiency and power ratio of LIM. The article discusses ways to compensate for the edge effects, as well as an overview of the world experience of the use of LATD in rail and maglev transport systems. The advantages of LATD and the world experience of its use suggest that for urban transport systems at speeds of up to 100-120 km/h this drive can be a real competition to traditional urban rail systems.

When designing passenger transport systems and modeling their operation, researchers face the problem of choosing the consumer properties of the transport system. In modern conditions, in order to compete with other modes of transport, each transport system must offer the passenger a continuous mode of operation, in which the passenger does not need to adjust to the schedule, but only needs to arrive at the stop point and wait for the nearest vehicle (train, bus, etc.). One of the most important characteristics required for design and simulation is the time that a passenger is willing to spend waiting for a vehicle at a station without compromising the comfort of transportation. The paper reveals regularities between such important parameters of schedules as the maximum allowable (optimal for the organizer of transportation) and comfortable (for the passenger) value of intervals between vehicles on the example of suburban-urban railway passenger transportation. A qualitative estimation of the speed parameter of the vehicle traffic schedule is introduced. The values of comfortable and maximum permissible intervals between trains are determined depending on the distance (duration) of the trip.

AbstractIncreasing population mobility and current trend of creating integrated passenger transport systems are opportunities for finding new possibilities to rationalization the railway passenger transport on those lines, where are no passenger trains or where the traffic service is not optimal nowadays. Precondition of reinstating the railway passenger transport is thorough potential passenger analysis, where there are actual geographic, demographic and transport characteristics of the region, where this line is situated. The contribution describes the passenger transport system, timetables rationalization and standards of traffic service in rail passenger transport. Consequently, according to these outputs and demographic and transport characteristic was proposed the rationalization of traffic service at Zvolen – Šahy transport route.

The article, based on the analysis of the existing methods for selection of constituent entities of the Russian Federation to be provided with federal support in modernization of the rolling stock of public urban passenger transport and introduction of intelligent transport systems within the framework of the national project «Safe and High-Quality Highways», highlights main approaches and principles used by the federal authorities as guidelines when making decision on the public state support of the activity planned by the regions in the field of urban transport development. The adequacy of these approaches is considered for cases when state support for public urban passenger transport should be provided on an emergency basis (in particular, under the conditions of a sharp decrease in passenger traffic and ticket revenue due to anti-epidemic measures), proposals are formulated to update these approaches.

Abstract Integrated passenger transport system consists of many factors with various impacts on the entire system quality. In passenger transport, there are mostly individual passengers therefore it is difficult to determine all transport requirements. In the passenger transport system, there are several modes of transport, but passengers mostly use road and rail transport. Passenger transport system is influenced by many qualitative factors with various impacts. The paper is focused on analysis of the role of railways in integrated passenger transport systems. The analysis is from passenger point of view because the key element in railway passenger transport is the passenger (customer), who requires the transport from one place to another. A basic precondition for accomplishing the main requirement (transport), is making the complete offer which provides not only transport, but also other complementary services. There are several types of passenger trains, which jointly create a part of integrated transport system. Quality of this transport system depends on train route topology, timetable of trains, number and location of all stations and stops. Primary function of the transport system is providing transport for passengers on regional, national-interregional and international level; therefore, the analysis involves these levels.

The development of world transport depends on globalization and international integration, as well as other sectors of the economy. Therefore, the choice of the trajectory for the intensive development of the transport sector, clustering in transport is possible according to the results of a comparative analysis of transport systems around the world. The purpose of the article is to conduct a comparative analysis of the world-wide transport systems united by territorial criteria to identify similar and distinctive characteristics with the Russian transport system, which will become the prerequisites for the introduction of foreign experience in transport clustering. In the framework of this work, the transport systems of Europe, Asia, North America and Russia are analyzed for the study of infrastructure, the activities of transport and logistics enterprises and the prevalence of international transport corridors. The main results of the analysis were the characteristics of each integrated transport system and the RF system, by specialization and nature of the system (open and closed), the interest of foreign investors in supporting the country's transport industry. The results obtained in the course of work contribute to the development of research by Russian scientists in the field of transport and systematize world statistics on the transport systems of states united by territorial principle, which are elements of the global transport system. The study should be useful for scientists, researchers involved in issues and problems of the development of the transport industry, clustering in transport and transport system management.

This article is devoted to the formation of theoretical foundations and methodological approaches of scientific coverage of economic and statistical problems of the functioning of urban passenger transport systems. The problematic is considered on the example of the city of Kharkiv. Public transport in Kharkiv is represented by almost the maximum number of types city trams, trolleybuses and metro, as well as private road carriers. The concept of consistency is based on the territorial principle and intermodality. The general indicator of the level of development of the territorial transport system is its balance. Unfortunately, the territorial transport systems of Ukraine are insufficient for the passage of existing traffic flows, and transport infrastructure facilities and rolling stock do not ensure the safe and comfortable movement of individual vehicles, public transport passengers, cyclists and pedestrians. Public transport does not provide all citizens with financially affordable and technically qualitative services and cannot be an alternative to individual cars. Traffic is not sufficiently regulated by existing traffic control means. Operated vehicles have a negative impact on the environment and create traffic jams. As follows from the study, this unsatisfactory state is due to the lack of independence and dependence of communal transport enterprises on subsidies from the city budget, unbalanced state policy in the field of tariff setting, insufficient rates of renewal of rolling stock and transport infrastructure, insufficient rates of introduction of non-cash payment for travel, imperfection of methods and ways to manage enterprises as a single intermodal system. Solving the described problems requires an integrated approach. First of all, this is the creation of a systemic management mechanism to create a balanced territorial transport system. This is what shows the relevance of the chosen topic and determined the choice of the direction of research in scientific and practical aspects. The research results will be used to improve the efficiency of the municipal transport.
