This paper aims to reveal the various interpretations of ulama to the meaning of the veil text. Then try to bring that understanding to the current development context. This paper is the result of literature research (library research) which is arranged in the form of papers. Data mining is carried out by exploring various sources that are relevant to this research, namely reviews from the mufassir, both classical and contemporary related to the veil verse in Alquran, namely Q.S. al-Ahzab: 59 and an-Nûr: 31, then compiled and read with a historically critical approach. This paper shows that the various ideas of classical and contemporary ulama are inseparable from the social context of their time. This social context ultimately makes the veil no longer just a symbol of identity, but more than that. The appearance of various hijab communities which later formed a new social movement has brought modern value in lifestyle and opened opportunities for the development of new sectors in the economy.

------ Abstract Library in Islamic history plays in a very significant role. Its existence is very amazing as well as it becomes as an unseparated part of the Islamic civilization and Islamic knowledge  development particularly at 8Th -10th century. Hypothetically, if library does not exist, knowledge will not develop fast as well. There are some functions of library. The first, it is a place where the science seekers look for the reference; the second, it becomes a center of a study for muslim scholar, the  third, it stores and saves a very valuable manuscript work and books, the fourth, a place where muslims scholar conduct meeting or discussion ,the  fifth, library symbolizes a dignity of the Khalifa and the authorities. Key words: Bayt al-Hikmah, Baghdad, al-Rasyid, al-Ma’mun, Civilization.

The authors try to show that even Wittgensteinian definition of concept is not always sufficient to analyze what really happens in science. As a result, in addition to “concept” we propose “conception” as a new promising tool for philosophy of science. We provide a brief historical analysis of this term and reveal two main interpretations of “conception” in philosophy and scientific disciplines. In accordance with the first view, conception appears as either a “twin” of the concept, or a pair entity to the concept. According to the second view, conception is a kind of “strange concept” that exists among “normal” concepts. Since conception is understood differently in sciences and philosophical systems, it is not possible to give a generalized definition of conception. That is, it is impossible to formulate this definition, so to speak, inductively. Moreover, even if it was possible, such a definition would not necessarily have to be automatically accepted by philosophy of science. That is why the introduction of a concept of conception was carried out through the analysis of a global process associated with the return of metaphysics to science. We define conception as a semantic construction denoting the unknown (and, possibly, fundamentally unknowable) and ensuring the possibility of working with this unknown (unknowable). By virtue of the way conception was introduced (conception is not a “generalization” of the interpretations available in specific sciences) many conceptions that are considered as conception in specific sciences turn out to not to be conceptions within this definition. Thus, the article interprets conception as a new possible tool of philosophy of science, which is aimed at understanding how specific sciences develop.

AbstractThe philosophy of Karl Popper has rarely been examined with respect to its fruitfulness and relevance for political theory. While his contributions to the philosophy of science may appear to be of only marginal significance for the fundamental concerns of political theory, his own forays into the field, particularly in The Open Society and Its Enemies, have been polemical in tone and explicitly political in motivation. This article re-examines Popper's critique of the theory of sovereignty and his own approach to political theory by employing a largely neglected element of his critical approach, namely his problem-oriented method.

This library research aims to examine the existence of scientists as an independent science, which has a special method and at the same time the usefulness of anthropology in people's lives. The writing approach method used is a qualitative approach with a bibliographic method. This means that in writing this article the writer collects, selects, analyzes and presents various writings sourced from various literature books and other written sources. Syntheses from various sources are presented and assembled to obtain conclusions. The results of the literature review show that anthropology as an independent science fulfills the requirements for a philosophy of science that must contain elements of ontology, epistemology and axiology. These three elements are found in anthropology because anthropology has certain methods and benefits for many people's lives, which in the subsequent development of anthropology is not only a pure science but also an applied science.

Any discussion about transdisciplinarity presupposes some sort of recognition of the scientific disciplines and some agreement on how they are or should be grouped or classified. This article supplies a demarcation criterion to distinguish science from non- science and discusses the way the sciences should be grouped. The first issue can be summarized by the question: (how) can scientific disciplines be distinguished from non- scientific ones? To answer this question it is necessary to sketch what in philosophy of science is called a “demarcation criterion” to distinguish between scientific and non- scientific activities. Secondly, does it make sense to recognise groups of sciences and which disciplines should be placed in each group? Does it make sense to use categories like social, hard, soft, exact, applied sciences and so forth? To answer these questions it is necessary to assess the plausibility of some of the categories traditionally used to classify the sciences. The purpose of the article is to provide an initial (yet philosophically grounded) orientation in an area in which many academics seem to wander, and sometimes to accept simplistic answers. Keywords: Demarcation criterion, groups of sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, human sciences, groups of sciences, general sciences, special sciences, transdisciplinarity, 9Theory of) modal aspects, multi-modal sciencesDisciplines: Philosophy, Philosophy of science, (Basically, all sciences are interested)

This paper considering that education is the main source of development. Education always provides updates and development. As a religion that is very existential among mankind, Islam contributes to education. As an applied science, Islamic education has relations to knowledge and humans. Thus, Islamic Education is one of the scientific disciplines that specifically exist among other scientific disciplines. If Islamic education is a scientific discipline, it must be scientifically academic. Even though it is academic, Islamic education is not subject to modern culture that tends to be anti-religious. Islamic education still prioritizes the al-Qur'an, Sunnah, the opinions of the prophet’s companionships, ulama's, and Muslim scientists as the main sources. This paper aims to describe Islamic education as a scientific discipline. This paper is based on library research whose main source is writings related to Islamic education and scientific disciplines, as well as other relevant writings to be references in this paper.
