FRANCE, it is said these days, is the “sick man of Europe,” a dubious honor once bestowed on the crumbling Ottoman Empire. To the outside observer it seems as if crisis following crisis is the “normal” state of affairs in France. Within France, the illusion that the post-Liberation social order would somehow be fundamentally different from that of the prewar regime is no more; politically, economically, and socially France today seems distressingly similar to the France of yesterday.Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

The term "think globally and act locally" has begun to surface since the eighties, but until now, a quarter century later, there was also a surefire formula go see about it. Human experience feel things that otherwise like sara (suku, agama dan ras)  events that befall the nation, instead of peace, mutual trust, peaceful coexistence, at-ta'ayus as-silmi, tolerance, tasamuh among fellow human beings and between groups, but rather violence, violence , prejudice (prejudice), az- su'u zan  religion, ethnicity, class, race, interests, both at the local, regional, national and even international (global). As if all want to reverse the adage "think locally and act only", without having coupled "think globally". In the associate, connect and communicate with other groups and do not feel the need to consider the governance rules, laws, agreements and international relations.Each ethnic group, religion, class, culture wants to maintain, even cult, sect or school of thought wanted to strengthen and reinforce certain local religious identity, cultural identity, ethnic identity, political identity as felt in the shadow of the threat of domination and cultural hegemony, certain foreign cultures or civilizations.Pressure of social psychology in the real and the imagined then cause unfair treatment (injustice), discriminatory (political behavior discrimination of race, ethnicity, religion and origin) and subordinate (humble and do not consider important the presence of another person or group), here as if there is no problem indeed, in maintaining the identity and group identity, but the ripples that appear in events locally, regionally, nationally and internationally to prove there is indeed a problem in the social order of the world.This paper offers a model of communication between fellow men's race (human), which integrates and connectedness with nature and God (spirituality), in the context of Communication Studies allows develop integration-interconnection study Communications, for example, the model trialektika between Islamic, and Indonesian-ness can Modernity in trialektika developed to initiate some sort of communication, namely (Islamic [Komunikasi Islam(i)/ hadarah an-nas/Religion/‘irfani], Indonesianness (Komunikasi Indonesia/ Nusantara/ hadarah al-falsafah /Philosophy/ burhani), and Modernity [Modern/Western Communications]/ hadarah al-‘ilm/Science/bayani), researcher asumtion that Modern Communications refers to Western Communications.Komunikasi Nusantara is a science communication in digging up the basic values of the indegenous values or the values of local wisdom Indonesia (Nusantara Philosophy), then associate with theories derived from Komunikasi Islam(i)/Komunikasi Profetik and Modern/ Western Communications.

This chapter investigates the ways in which both Elizabeth Bishop and James Merrill acknowledged their complicity in cultural erosions that they wished to see forestalled in Brazil and Greece, respectively. As Robert von Hallberg has noted, what often renders the genre of the ‘protest poem’ so two-dimensional is the lack of any sense of complicity in what is being protested, as if the poet was unwilling or unable to see his/her own role in the events and processes that the poem decries. Neither Bishop nor Merrill suffered from this kind of shortcoming of vision. At the heart of many of their poems which lament a given state of affairs is a strong sense that they are in part responsible for that state of affairs, and this makes these poems not weaker, as a result of an embedded hypocrisy, but stronger, as a result of an unwillingness to succumb to the delusion that oneself could possibly be free of blame.

This chapter demonstrates that Rancière’s journey to democratic theory started in the aftermath of May 1968 with his efforts to overcome the problematic transformation of political theory into “a theory of education.” For Rancière, unpredictability is integral to democratic politics. Thus, in an anti-Rousseauian move, he emphasizes the theatrical aspect of democratic action: taking on a role other than who they are, acting as if they are a part in a given social order in which they have no part, political actors stage their equality, disrupting the existing distribution of the sensible. Rancière’s focus on the moments of disruption, however, opens him to the charge of reducing democratic politics to immediate acts of negation. Insofar as he erases the role of intermediating practices in the stagings of equality, Rancière imposes on his accounts a kind of purity that his own work, with its emphasis on broken, polemical voices, cautions against.

Something exceptional happened first in England and later in Northwestern Europe beginning in the second half of the eighteenth century. Institutions, state and the ability to achieve technological breakthroughs all need to be taken into account in any satisfactory explanation as to why and where the Industrial Revolution took place. This essay attempts to situate the Ottoman Empire in the eighteenth century. Until the 1780s, this century was a period of economic expansion for the Ottoman Empire but the empire was surely not in a position to achieve an Industrial Revolution of its own or even an extended period of technological change and productivity increases. The essay also argues that the explanation for this state of affairs should be searched not in any external intervention or impact but n i internal structures and dynamics. In short, social and economic forces for change remained weak while the Ottoman state was strong enough to defend a traditional order.

The literature popular among students at Paris in the 1260's included a series of poems lamenting the ascendant role in society of the new mendicant orders. The Dominicans are so shrewd, said one of these poems, that they control both Paris and Rome, they are both king and apostle. The blame for this state of affairs was being placed squarely on Louis IX. The king favors the mendicants, read a second poem, yet ill-treatrs his knights, as if the friars could do anything useful for the defense of his kingdom.

Matti Häyry’s new book Rationality and the Genetic Challenge discusses the ethics of human genetic modification and the bioethical rationalities that inform the different ethical conclusions authors have advanced. It is aimed at correcting the belief that “only one rationality exists or one morality exists; that those that disagree [with them] are unreasonable or evil.” Häyry argues that there are multiple rationalities, and that even though ethical issues may have solutions within individual rationalities, disagreements that have their root in separate rational approaches cannot be universally solved by intellectual arguments. In debates about the ethics of using new biotechnologies to genetically modify human beings, the normal state is one of fundamental disagreement over almost all of the anticipated uses to which the technology could be put. Häyry’s point is that such a state of affairs is not necessarily due to a lack of reason because there are many, equally valid, ways of being reasonable.

Education in Africa has been in existence since time immemorial. This study sought to examine the activities of Lantana in Benin on their specialised training, Dogon of Mali in their world view, Futo Toro of Senegal in their various trades, Poro of Sierra Leone in the training of the youth, Takensi of Ghana in their social order and the Akan of Ghana. Also examined are the activities of the Chamba and Yoruba of Nigeria in their adult centred training and forecasting of the future respectively. The Chagga of Tanzania and the Abakwayaare were also examined on their initiative plays and economic activities. The paper also studied the Ndembu of Zambia on the past analysis and the activities of the Mijikenda of Kenya among other Kenyan tribes. The study used the theoretical framework of Emile Durkheim on the social and moral order, while the design of the study was on content analysis of available information and expectations. The study recommends positive approaches in the indigenouseducation that can be adapted, mainly for Kenya in its desire to achieve Vision 2030. However, further research should be done on specific values, foods, attitudes and the rule of law, how achieve social, political and economic progress in African nations and especially how the current economic integration blocks have followed the same pattern of the communities and their values.

<p><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p>Mankind has put forth a special effort to ensure the order of society since the very beginning of it. The Ottoman State, has always ensured the public and social order like other Islamic states in the light of Allah's commandments. However, the present order started deteriorating due to dwindling basic principles (justice, merit, consultancy ...) with time which were imposed by the Shariah Law; to which the Ottoman Empire was subjected.</p><p>The radical developments in the political, economic, social and legal fields that took place in Europe had affected the Ottoman State seriously like other states. Under the influence of all these internal and external dynamics, the Ottoman Empire started quest for a new order and attempted to bring a series of reforms under the name of westernization or modernization. Thus in the Ottoman State, besides these reform movements, the idea of creating a constitution had also emerged.</p><p>This study tries to find out the internal and external dynamics in the formation of Kanun-ı Esasi which was the first constitution of the Ottoman Empire in the modern sense and the consequences of this quest for order.</p><p><strong>Öz</strong></p><p>İnsanoğlu, var olduğundan beri yaşadığı toplumun düzenini temin edebilmek için özel bir çaba göstermiştir. Kuruluşu itibariyle Ortaçağ devletlerinden olan Osmanlı Devleti, diğer İslam devletleri gibi kamu ve toplum düzenini her zaman Allah’ın hükümleri doğrultusunda tesis etmiştir. Ancak Osmanlının   tâbi olduğu şer’i hukukun vaz ettiği temel prensiplerin (adalet, liyakat, meşveret…) zamanla göz ardı edilmesi ile mevcut düzen bozulmaya başlamıştır.</p><p>Avrupa’da meydana gelen siyasal, ekonomik, toplumsal ve hukuk alanlarındaki köklü gelişmeler Osmanlı Devleti’ni ciddi anlamda etkilemiştir. Tüm bu iç ve dış dinamiklerin tesiriyle yeni düzen arayışına giren Osmanlı Devleti, batıcılık ya da modernleşme adı altında bir dizi reform teşebbüslerinde bulunmuştur. Osmanlı Devleti’nde bu reform hareketlerine paralel olarak bir anayasa oluşturma düşüncesi de böylece ortaya çıkmıştır.</p><p>Bu çalışmada Osmanlının modern anlamda ilk anayasası olan Kanun-ı Esasi’nin oluşumuna kaynaklık eden iç ve dış dinamiklerin neler olduğu ve bunların tesirleri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.</p>

Knowing the adolescent is necessary in every teaching practice. We cannot see the student and the adolescent as if they were two different boxes in which we must fill them with knowledge, as if they were two entities isolated from each other. By knowing the students' individuality, we can identify a series of individual, family, social, attitudinal factors etc., which will give us many tools to improve our work in the classroom. Emotional and psychological changes, the search for personal identity, acceptance in a group, separation from parents, among other situations, are important aspects for the development of adolescence. That is why in this article it offers an analysis on adolescence, to know the changes that students present in this stage, as well as factors of individual, family and social order that will influence the student remarkably; and finally, a series of points to consider in our teaching process as the result of this analysis.
